Women Wednesday: Kinder Chocolate DC Funko Pop Trivia Card #1: Wonder Woman

I actually picked up two Kinder Chocolate candy over a week ago. I ended up with two DC Funko Pop trivia cards featuring Wonder Woman, which is the first in the series. The backs of the cards are blank. Yeah, my luck with these have not been great so far. She is also on the wrapper with Superman, who I suspect is on the third card.

Kinder Chocolate DC Funko Pop Trivia Card #2: Batman

I have been finding the Kinder Chocolate candy with the DC Funko Pop trivia cards in the local stores for the past few weeks. I picked up two at the local General Dollar this morning and both of them were Batman, which is number two in the series. The back is blank and there is no checklist of the cards available. The main wrapper features Wonder Woman and Superman.

Halloween Countdown 2024 Day 1: Mike & Ike Sour Spooky Treats

Today we kick off this year's Countdown to Halloween with Mike & Ike Sour Spooky Treats. The front of the box shows three angry-looking Jack-O'-Lanterns with one of them wearing a witch's hat. The candy comes in three flavors: Sour Ghoulish Grape, Sour Orange Scream and Sour Wicked Watermelon. I was hestitant to try these because I'm not a big watermelon fan. I guess Sour Pumpkinheads probably wouldn't taste very good either. For me, the grape and orange candies were not bad tasting but the watermelon ones tasted like watermelon that had been sitting out for a week or two. If I ever get another box of these, then I'm picking the Sour Wicked Watermelons out and handing them out as tricks for the little beggers.

Hershey's DC Heroes 12 Pack and Mini Bar Wrappers 2022

I actually found a box of the Hershey's DC Heroes 12 packs with mini bars at the local Walmart's last month. The box had only the wrappers featuring Batman (Jace Fox) and Wonder Girl (Yara Flor). I grabbed two of each and they are now all gone now at the store (they are back to the regular boring wrappers). I know I'm missing the Superman (Jonathan Kent) wrapper but I'm not sure if they made any with Batman (Bruce Wayne), Superman (Clark Kent) and Wonder Woman (Diana Prince). I'm only showing the right half of the large 12 pack wrappers because they are too long to scan.

I only collected eight of the ten mini bar wrappers. These were extrememely hard to open without ripping them even while using scissors to cut one end off. They also wrinkled bad and the chocolate melted faster than I could eat them out of the package (no, I didn't eat all forty-eight mini bars are once). Anyway, the mini bar wrappers that I did get include Aquaman (Arthur Curry), Aquaman (Jackson Hyde), Batman (Bruce Wayne), Batman (Jace Fox), Green Lantern (Jo Mullein), Superman (Clark Kent), Wonder Woman (Diana Prince) and Wonder Girl (Yara Flor). I'm missing Green Lantern (John Stewart) and Superman.(Jonathan Kent).

I'm really reconsidering collecting these wrappers. Finding them is a chore and eating them is not as fun now that I'm getting older. You can check out last year's Hershey's DC Heroes 12 Pack and Mini Bar Wrappers here

Harry Potter PEZ

This is the Harry Potter PEZ dispenser that I picked up with the Hermione Granger PEZ dispenser. Like her, he is also from 2020 and is based on the book version. He also comes with raspberry, cherry and lemon flavored PEZ candy.

Here is a picture that I found online to show what he looks like out of the package:

Women Wednesday: Hermione Granger PEZ

I picked up a Hermione Granger PEZ dispenser at the local Walmart's last week. This is the book version and not the movie version, which I do not have. The store had several of her and Harry Potter but no Ron Weasley. The trio came out last year but I found them in the Christmas candy aisle this year. She comes with raspberry, cherry and lemon flavored PEZ candy. This is the first picture that I took with my new tablet that I also got last week (it's still not as good as my digital camera but that may be due to the lightning).

The following found image is what the Hermione Granger PEZ dispenser would look like out of the packaging:

Countdown to Halloween 2021 Day 26: DC Trinity Candysticks Redux

I picked up a bag of the DC Trinity Candysticks at the local Dollar General at the end of September (the local Dollar Tree has them too). The bag is the exact same one from last year. The only difference is that the expiration date on the back is April 2024. I'm not even going to scan and post the front and back of this year's bag. Instead, I'm just going to repost last year bags.

I decided to scan the little boxes of Candysticks a little differently this year. I broke down each one of the different boxes and scanned them all on one page. There are some different artwork used on some of the boxes while others have totally different artwork. I got twenty-one boxes instead of twenty with Batman being on ten and Superman being on eleven. I ended up with five green boxes (Batman), three orange and yellow boxes (Batman), two purple boxes (Batman), four orange boxes (Superman), two purple boxes (Superman) and five yellow boxes (Superman). There were no Wonder Woman boxes at all in my bag. I'm thinking of getting another bag to see if they have any with her.

Countdown to Halloween 2020 Day 31: Halloween PEZ 2020 Trio

I actually found the following Halloween PEZ 2020 trio at a Walgreen's while on a road trip out of town a few weeks ago. I was actually looking for the Thanksgiving Dinner Candy Corn (they are nasty by the way) when I found these. The store had only these three available and I found out later that only the Angry Pumpkinhead PEZ is new for 2020 (PEZ calls him Scary Pumpkin but he looks more angry to me).

First up is Angry Pumpkinhead PEZ with a black body:

The Happy Pumpkinhead PEZ originally came out in 2018 and has a green body:

The Vampire Boy PEZ originally came out in 2013 but he is officially called Baby Vampire:

Here is what the back of the Halloween PEZ 2020 card looks like (note that they show Mummy, Ghost, Bat, Pumpkin and Witch):

Each came with a pack of candy corn flavored PEZ candy (the taste is faint to me but they are tons better than the Turkey Dinner Candy Corn):

I still have the PEZ Witch from 2011 still in the package.

This post wraps up the Halloween 2020 season for Moongem Comics. I hope you enjoyed my posts this year and be sure check other sites at Countdown to Halloween.

Countdown to Halloween 2020 Day 11: DC Trinity Candysticks Deja Vu

I posted about the DC Trinity Candysticks on the first day of last year's Countdown to Halloween. Well, they are back at the local Dollar General...sort of. The only thing different about the front of the bag is the colors for the logo and the "20 CT".

Front of DC Trinity Candysticks 2020 bag

The only difference on the back of the bag is the coloration of "Candysticks".

The Batman boxes has the same artwork but different background and "Candy Sticks" coloration. Yes, there are still three different Batman boxes:

The Superman boxes also have the same images but different background and "Candy Sticks" coloration. He only gets two different boxes:

Once again, Wonder Woman got shafted and only has one box. The graphics on her boxes are the same as last year's version but the coloration of the background and "Candy Sticks" are different.

I have better pictures this year since I scanned the bag and boxes instead of using my digital camera. I also bought two bags of this year's DC Trinity Candysticks (they really should use that name instead of just "Candy Sticks". The first bag actually had twenty-one boxes instead of twenty. It had ten Batman boxes (one Batman/Batman, six Batman/Trinity with yellow background and three Batman/Trinity with orange-yellow background), eight Superman boxes (three Superman/Superman and five Superman/Trinity) and three Wonder Woman boxes. The second bag had nine Batman boxes (four Batman/Batman, four Batman/Trinity and one Batman/Batman with orange-yellow background), eight Superman boxes (two Superman/Superman and six Superman/Trinity) and three Wonder Woman boxes.

Countdown to Halloween 2020 Day 2: Limited Edition Spooky Junior Mints Box

I actually picked up a box of the Limited Edition Spooky Junior Mints at the local Walmart's in the middle of September for a dollar. The black-centered ones outnumbered the orange-centered ones (yes, I bit each one to see what color they were). These are better if you put them in the refrigerator for a day or two because they don't stand up to the heat very well just like the regular Junior Mints. I do like the black and orange packaging with bats and dead trees in a graveyard with a full moon in the background.

Hershey's DC Super Hero Bar 5 Pack Snack Size Trinity

The local Dollar General had a few of the Hershey's DC Super Hero Bar 5 Pack Snack Size left a few weeks ago. They were not in the candy aisle but on a shelf displaying makings of s'mores. I almost walked right pass them. I was fortunate to grab the Trinity: Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.

The Batman pack had one Aquaman wrapper, two Batman wrappers, one Superman wrapper and one Wonder Woman wrapper. The Superman pack had one Aquaman wrapper, one Batman wrapper, one Cyborg wrapper, one Flash wrapper and one Superman wrapper. The Wonder Woman pack had one Aquaman wrapper, one Batman wrapper, two Cyborg wrappers and one Superman wrapper. No Green Lantern wrappers were found in any of the packs.

The local Walmart's were totally out of the Hershey's DC Super Hero Bar 12 Packs as of last Sunday. I doubt that they will get any more in since this is limited edition. I have yet to find any snack size bags or the numbered regular size bars with the seven individual DC super heroes.

Hershey's DC Super Hero Bar 12 Snack Size Batman and Wonder Woman Editions

Whew, what a long title for today's post but I found the Batman and Wonder Woman editions of the new Hershey's DC Super Hero Bar 12 Snack Size at the local Walmart's this morning. They were on the bottom shelf and were selling for $1.96. They didn't have any of the other packaging styles yet nor did they have any of the Superman packages.

I like that the heads and upper torsos of Batman and Wonder Woman are on the right side of the packages.

The backs of the packages shows the three different packages available.

The backs of both packages also have the best buy date, which is May, 2021. They won't last that long around here and they were already melting by the time we got home, put away the groceries and I took the pictures.

The candy bars from the Batman package are on the left while the candy bars from the Wonder Woman package are on the right. The Batman package had two with Aquaman wrappers, one with Batman wrapper, one with Flash wrapper, four with Green Lantern wrappers, three with Superman wrappers and one with Wonder Woman wrapper. The Wonder Woman package had two with Aquaman wrappers, one with Batman wrappers, two with Flash wrappers, three with Green Lantern wrappers, three with Superman wrappers and one with Wonder Woman wrapper.

The total count of the candy bar wrappers from both packages was Aquaman (4), Batman (2), Flash (3), Green Lantern (7), Superman (6) and Wonder Woman (2).

Th candy bar below was from one with an Aquamn wrapper that featured Batman logo, Wonder Woman logo, Batmobile outline and Superman logo. My sister had one with a Wonder Woman wrapper that featured logos of Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman and Green Lantern.
I'm trying to save the candy bar wrappers but they are hard to open by hand. They measure 3-3/4" by 1-1/4". I might end up getting a few more packages of each if I can just to see who I get on the wrappers. I'm really hoping to find the Superman package too.

Superman Batman Candy Sticks

Happy Easter. I picked up a bag of Superman Batman Candy Sticks that I found in the Easter section at the local Dollar Tree. I was supposed to get 25 boxes but got 26 boxes. Each box had two candy sticks and some of the images were used with the DC Trinity Candysticks that I picked up last year for Halloween at the local Dollar General. They were made in Colombia and distributed by World Confections.

Here is the front of the Superman Batman Candy Sticks bag:

Here is the back of the Superman Batman Candy Sticks bag:

My bag had 14 Superman boxes (4 green, 8 red and yellow, 2 red). All of them feature his upper torso with two sides featuring extreme close up shots of his face:

There were only 12 Batman boxes in my bag (3 blue, 2 red and orange, 7 yellow). None of the images featured extreme close up shots of his face.

I am a little disappointed that none of the boxes had both DC superheroes on them. I guess they didn't want me to call them World's Finest Candy Sticks.

Toon Trio Candy Sticks

The local Dollar Tree had bags of these Toon Trio Candy Sticks stocked in their Easter section and I picked one up. The bag really doesn't have a name so I just called it Toon Trio because it features characters from three different cartoon shows: Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo and The Flintstones. Each bag is supposed to have 25 pieces or boxes with two candy sticks in each box but mine had 26 boxes. They were made in Colombia and distributed by World Confections.

Here is the front of the Toon Trio Candy Sticks bag:

Here is the back of the Toon Trio Candy Sticks bag:

I ended up getting eight boxes with Tom and Jerry (six were yellow and two were red). All the boxes had both of them on one side while Tom was on the other side of the yellow boxes and Jerry was on the other side of the red boxes.

I ended up getting 8 Scooby-Doo boxes (5 were purple and 3 were green). The whole gang is shown on the purple boxes with the Mystery Machine on one side with a close up of Scooby on the other side. The green boxes have only Velma, Daphne and Scooby on one side and a different close up of Scooby on the other side.

The Flintstones should have been called Fred and Barney since they are mostly featured on the 10 boxes that I got (6 were red and 4 were blue). Fred and Barney are one side of the red boxes with an extreme close up of Fred Flintstone is the one the other side. Dino is on one side of the blue boxes with Barney Rubble on the other side.
