Happy 100th Birthday, Bettie Page

Bettie Page may be gone but she will never be forgotten. The iconic Queen of Pinups was born on this day in 1923 and she will be honored in her hometown of Nashville today with a historic marker at her former school.

The online game had been available only in the VIP room but it's now open to all starting today. I played a few games so far but didn't win big nor won any bonus games or free spins. Women Wednesday: Hit It Rich Bettie Page

Since this is the last Women Wednesday post of 2014, I thought I would share some screenshots of the new Hit It Rich Bettie Page slot game that I have been playing for the past few days on Facebook. It's open to play for a limited time (otherwise you have to be a vip at level 125 to play and I'm currently at 65). The minimum bet is $1,200 (I can go up to $6,000 due to my level) but I have been losing more than I have been winning.

Halloween Countdown 2009 Day 5: Elvira Does Bettie Page

Cassandra Peterson, better known as Elvira, donned a black wig of a different kind (she's a redhead by the way). The picture by Austin Young was just one of those on display in the "Bettie Page Heaven Bound: A Celebration of the Life of Bettie Page" exhibit at LA's World of Wonder Storefront Gallery throughout the month of May, 2009. This proves that she is still hot at fifty-eight.

Booksteve's Library is another blog that I have been following for a while now. He covers a wide range of topics from books and comics to movies and tv. His recent post is in memory of Bettie Page so it seems appropriate that I write about his blog today.

Bettie Page Passes On

Fetish model and pin-up queen of the 1950s, Bettie Page aka Betty Page, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the age of 85. She was the girlfriend of Cliff Secord aka The Rocketeer in the comic book created by Dave Stevens (he later would meet and help her). In 1991, Betty Page In 3-D was published by the 3-D Zone. Dark Horse published the following two one shots: Bettie Page Comics (1996) and Bettie Page Comics Spicy Adventure (1997). They pubished a three-issue mini-series in 2000 titled Queen of the Nile that featured her (the issues were collected in a trade paperback with the same name).
