Big Shake Up At DC Comics

From Comics Continuum: DC COMICS' LAYOFFS:

"Roughly one third of DC Comics' editorial ranks are being laid off, according to sources of The Hollywood Reporter. 

"Among those said to be losing their positions are editor-in-chief Bob Harris, senior VP of publishing strategy and support services Hank Kanalz, VP of marketing and creative services Jonah Weiland, VP global publishing initiatives and digital strategy Bobbie Chase, senior story editor Brian Cunningham, and executive editor Mark Doyle, who oversaw the rollout of the Black Label line. 

"Jim Lee remains as the CCO. "The majority of the staff of the streaming service DC Universe has been laid off, a move that had been widely expected as WarnerMedia shifts its focus to new streaming service HBO Max. 

"DC Direct, the company's in-house merchandise and collectibles manufacturer, has been terminated as well."

Unfortunately, Yummy Mummy and Frute Brute did not return this year. Hopefully, all the monster cereals will return next year. If they do, then I have one request: please put a free toy surprise or mini comic book inside.

Not Your Daddy's Earth 2 Batman

According to DC Universe: The Source's Earth 2 Character Designs - Batman, Bruce may not be the Wayne wearing the cowl and he may have to kill someone to save his own daughter. Speculations is that either Thomas or Damian may be this parallel Earth's Dark Knight.

Women Wednesday: Just Imagine Wonder Woman

Today's woman is from Just Imagine Stan Lee With Jim Lee Creating Wonder Woman (August 2001) from DC Comics. Maria Mendoza becomes Wonder Woman after finding an Incan Sun God's staff of gold. Steve Trevor is an archeologist that helps Maria to find her destiny but he meets an unkind fate. I would have liked to see this series continue but it was just a one shot special.
