Red Hood #1

DC Comics released Red Hood #1 yesterday with the cover featuring Jason Todd aka Red Hood and Helena Bertinelli aka the Huntress. Here is the official summary:

"ERUPTING FROM THE EVENTS OF H2SH COMES DC’S FIRST-EVER IN-CONTINUITY, MATURE READERS, ONGOING RED HOOD SERIES! Jason Todd has left Gotham and Batman behind him. All he’s taking with him is his costume, his bike, and a metal briefcase containing two handguns (and lots of bullets). New Angelique seems like the perfect place for Red Hood to put down roots. There’s crime, vice, and corruption everywhere. When Jason discovers a superpowered serial killer who is targeting the city’s police, he finds himself sucked into a terrible and bleak conspiracy with seemingly no end in sight. But Jason isn’t the only person on the scene. Following his trail is Helena Bertinelli a.k.a. Huntress. Is she here to stop him or help him? What will happen when the two black sheep of the Bat-Family start working together? Get ready for Red Hood like you’ve always wanted to see him."

Unfortunately, DC Comics Cancels Gretchen Felker-Martin’s Red Hood After One Issue Following Charlie Kirk Comments. I'm turning off comments for this post because I don't want any hateful comments.

Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 4: Task Force Z #12 Cover

You might wonder what does the cover of Task Force Z #12 have to do with Halloween? It looks like a bunch of supervillains standing around the grave of Jason Todd aka Red Hood. Well, Man-Bat is the only monster in the truest sense while Bane, Mr. Bloom and Two-Face are monsters that look like men. Also, the Z stands for zombies, which some of these supervillains are.

Countdown to Halloween 2021 Day 28: Task Force Z

DC Comics released Task Force Z yesterday with Red Hood leading a team of super villains turned into zombies. He appears on the cover with Mr. Bloom, Man-Bat, Bane, Sundowner and Arkham Knight. They tackle Crazy Quilt and then Mr. Freeze. It's a good start for the twelve issue series.

Convergence: Batman and Robin #2

I believe this is the standard cover of Convergence: Batman and Robin #2 (July 2015) and the artwork is okay:
Cover of Convergence: Batman and Robin #2 from DC Comics
Most of the issue deals with the Bat family consisting of Batman, Robin, Red Hood and Scarlet (I actually had to look her up and I don't even remember her being in the last issue) battling the Extremists:

Jason and Damien bond after the latter saves the former from falling off a building. Bruce even gets emotional and hugs his son. Superman shows up at the end talks with Batman about their fathers. The issue was okay but nothing really to get excited about.

Merry Christmas 2014: Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual #2

Merry Christmas and as a special treat, here is a special peek at Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual #2 (February 2015):
Cover of Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual #2
Jason Todd aka Red Hood, Princess Koriand'r aka Starfire and Roy Harper as Arsenal start out as little kids:

"...Yule Be DEAD For Christmas!" is the story's title:

A special pin-up page featuring Red Hood and the Outlaws with Batman as special guest star:

The first three chapters are the best since they take a wicked look at Christmas while the fourth and final chapter has a nice twist that explains the weirdness. I almost passed this one up since I thought it would all be doom and gloom. I was surprised at the fun that it poked at Christmas plus having Batman in a cameo was great too. Even if you are not a fan of the series, I would recommend picking up Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual #2.
