Flash Running Temporary Tattoo

This Flash running temporary tattoo was picked up at a China buffet restaurant on last month's road trip. The back doesn't tell what set it belongs to but it did state that it was number four of ten. Luckily, it also stated that it was distributed by A&A Global Industries. According to their website, the set is simply called DC Comics Character Tattoos. This will probably be the only one I get of the set since it might be a while before I get back to that restaurant.

Below is the entire DC Comics Character Tattoos set that features Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn and Joker. The DC Comics characters look like they are from a cartoon but I can't place it. The Batman, Haley Quinn and Joker look like the ones used for the Countdown to Valentine's Day 2021 Day 12: Batman Valentines With Tattoos.

Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #12: Floating Avengers

The final Marvel Super Hero Adventures sticker that I got in the now gone vending machine is what I call the floating Avengers. This is also the twelfth and final sticker in the set based on the Disney cartoon series. Characters include Thor, Hulk, Falcon, Black Widow, Captain America, Iron Man and Spider-Man. I actually have two of these stickers and you can complete the top and bottom floating pictures of Thor and Hulk. It's kind of funny that the top of Hulk's head is on the bottom of the sticker while the rest of him is on top.

Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #11: Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends

The eleventh sticker in the Marvel Super Hero Adventures set is what I call Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. Peter Parker aka Spider-Man is shown with Miles Morales aka Ultimate Spider-Man on one side and Gwen Stacy aka Spider[Gwen on the other side. The background graphics of the city buildings and black spider is pretty cool too. The other thing cooler would have been to seen Spider-Man's original amazing friends, which were Firestar and Iceman.

Women Wednesday: Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #8: Ms. Marvel

I could have posted this yesterday but I thought it would make for a good Women Wednesday post. Kamala Khan as Ms. Marvel is featured on Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #8. She is voiced by Aliza Vellani on the Disney Channel cartoon (fans of CW's iZombie will know her as Marcy Khan). I have yet to read any comics or seen any cartoons with this version of Ms. Marvel.

Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #4: Spider-Man THWIP!

I managed to get a few more Marvel Super Hero Adventures stickers last month before the vending machine disappeared. I posted a few of them back in September and I have yet to complete the set. I'm not for sure if the vending machine will be back or not but I doubt it since they were having problems with two of them jamming (the mystery sticker coin slot was the worse one and it had been down for almost a year). The first of the new batch is Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #4: Spider-Man THWIP!

Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #9: Group Shot

This Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #9 doesn't officially have a name so I call it group shot. The group consists of the Hulk, Black Widow, Falcon, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and Spider-Man. Now I really wished I watched more episodes of this cartoon when it was on the Disney Channel. This is the last sticker of this series that I got out a vending machine but I hope to get some more soon providing that they are still available.

Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #7: Black Panther

This Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #7: Black Panther would make for a cool 3D sticker since he's leaping off the sticker. This is another recent vending machine treat with uneven black borders. I have only seen a handful of the Disney cartoon and Black Panther is one of my favorites.

Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #3: Hero Up

This Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #3: Hero Up is another vending machine surprise. It features Thor, Black Widow, the Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America from the Disney cartoon series.

Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #1: Ultron

I've been getting a few of the Marvel Super Hero Adventures stickers from a vending machine at the local Dillons store for the past month. The first one is Ultron, which seems an odd choice since he's a super villain. The sticker set was produced in 2019 by Vending Supply and is based on the Disney pre-school cartoon series, Marvel Super Hero Adventures, that ran from 2017 to 2020.

Stickers For Leap Day

I've been saving my quarters since Christmas for the local vending machines with stickers and temporary tattoos. Since today is leap day, I decided to try my luck at the only store in town that has them. Unfortunately, the machines with the Pocket Patches and the temporary tattoos were both jammed. Luckily, the Mystery Machine was still working and it was only a quarter while the others were fifty cents. I ended up with 13 stickers including four Marvel Avengers (#1 is Captain America, #6 is Avengers Assemble, #7 is Loki and #11 is Ant-Man that are my first ones of this set), the first Need4Speed sticker (I have others in the series), two Pocket Patches fabric tattoos (#3 and 6), Pet Shop Sticker #9 (Mousestache), Trolls #5 and the first four UglyDolls stickers.

Star Wars Plus Mystery Temporary Tattoos

I had a few quarters and decided to try my luck at the vending machines this morning. The local Dillons store had a vending machine offering Star Wars temporary tattoos for fifty cents each so I bought three. Technically, they should have been called Star Wars: The Force Awakens temporary tattoos since the artwork features many characters from the upcoming science fiction movie. They were made by Vending Supply and there are fifteen tattoos in this set.

The third one features a Stormtrooper:

The fourth Star Wars temporary tattoo features Chewbacca, Captain Phasma, Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron (yes, I had to look up to see who that last one was):

The tenth one features Chewbacca:

I had one quarter left so I decided to try the mystery vending machine at the same store. I ended up with PAW Patrol temporary tattoo #6, which feature Chase. I have never seen an episode of the cartoon series but I might have to check it out after getting this tattoo. The series is also made by Vending Supply and there are ten designs in this set.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 22: Puffy Halloween Stickers

Here are four puffy Halloween stickers from my old warped sticker book. I took them out and put them on homemade trading cards. I'm not sure about the year but I'm pretty sure they were from the 1980s. I'm also thinking that they were available in vending machines but I could be wrong. I'm not really sure if they are all from the same set or not. I can't seem to find any info on them yet by searching the usual sites.

The first pair consist of a dancing skeleton with a pumpkin head and black cat sitting on a pumpkin:

The second pair is a skull and a very sinister red-faced devil with white horns:

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 18: Glow in the Dark Horror Puffy Stickers

I remember getting these glow in the dark horror puffy stickers in the mid-1980s out of a local vending machine for a quarter. Unfortunately, I only got seven out of ten since I rarely ever got a full set of anything back then. I finally took them out of my very warped sticker book and put them on homemade trading cards. On the first card is Dracula, the Mummy, Wolfman and Frankenstein:

The second card features King Kong, the Skull and I-Oneman:

Unfortunately, these horror puffy stickers have lost their ability to glow in the dark after all these years.

Vending Machine Ultimate Spider-Man Tattoos

I picked up a few of the Ultimate Spider-Man temporary tattoos from a vending machine at the local grocery store. Each tattoo was fifty cents and feature a character from the Marvel Kids cartoon series. There are ten different ones in the set.

First up is Peter Parker in classic Spider-Man costume ready to shoot his webs at you (there is another tattoo of him swinging from his web):

Next up is Black Spider (I actually had to look him up since I have only seen a few episodes of the series and it turns out that he is actually Harry Osborn):

Here's the Iron Fist tattoo and he's my second favorite:

I like how Nova is captured in flight with his hands energized:

I was surprised to get White Tiger for she is the only woman in the set and she is by far my favorite one:

Here is what the backs of the tattoo cards look like (notice that there are not any numbers but it was made by Vending Supply in 2014 using only FDA certified colorants):

The tattoos that I didn't get include the swinging Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Goblin, Lizard, and Doc Octopus. I'm not sure if I will pick more up or not since I'm out of quarters and I'm happy with what I got so far.

Vending Machine Batman String Doll

Today is a sad day for me since the vending machines at the store that I work at are all gone. They were there yesterday when I left but they were gone when I went in this morning. I already posted about the vending machine Green Lantern string doll that I mistakenly called a puppet. I did manage to snag a Batman string doll out of that same vending machine for seventy-five cents a few weeks ago. I have been meaning to post pictures of it for a while but then my old computer died so here they are finally.

The occult number on his tag is 152875.

Sadly, there is only one store left in town that still has vending machines and that's Dillons grocery store. Looks like I need to check them out with a roll of quarters before they are gone too.

Vending Machine Mini Green Lantern String Puppet

The DC Comics string puppets, er dolls actually arrived at a local store's vending machine a few weeks ago but I finally had three quarters to try my luck this morning. The insert card showed Superman, Batman, Green Lantern and the Joker plus a chance to get three other mini toys that I had no interest in. I held my breath and was relieved when a mini Green Lantern string puppet, er doll came out in his plastic bubble.

He is 2 3/4" tall and 1 3/4" wide. The string colors used to make him are white, green and black. His mask, eyes and power ring are made from thin felt. His chest symbol seems to be really thick felt.

The mini Green Lantern string puppet, er doll has a black string loop on his head with a label attached. One side has copyright DCE (I presume DC Entertainment), s13, and A&A/China. The other side has the occult number of 153938/153939.

According to my research, there are eight mini string puppets, er dolls in the set that includes Superman, Batman, the Joker, Green Lantern, Robin, the Flash, Wonder Woman and Aquaman. I doubt that I will try to get any more of these since I'm once again out of quarters. They seem like they would make perfect cat toys.

Vending Machine Marvel Super Hero Squad Tattoos

One of the vending machines at the local retail store where I work switched from glitter rose tattoos to Marvel Super Hero Squad tattoos from 2009 last week. There are twelve tattoos to collect and here is the insert that I found online:

I only had enough quarters for three since each tattoo is fifty cents. Here is Captain America tattoo, which is the fifth in the set:

Here is the Hulk tattoo (I couldn't make out the number of the back since it was printed on the logo):

Here is Spider-Man, which is actually the first of the set:

Here is what the back of the Spider-Man Marvel Super Hero Squad tattoo looks like:

I thought about posting one tattoo for the next three days but I decided to make one big post about them. I don't know if I will get more of these or not since I'm out of quarters. I might have to get a roll of quarters to see if I can get the rest.

Vending Machine Superman S Shield Pencil Top Eraser

I tried my luck at the local vending machine dedicated to pencil top erasers featuring superhero symbols from DC Comics. I picked up two more Batman pencil top erasers along with a Superman S shield pencil top eraser. I can't say that I'm really super impressed with this one because it actually comes in three parts: the thick red base with two holes, a super thin yellow layer and a thin red S cutout with two pegs. As you can tell from the pictures below, the two layers do not mesh well with the base (yes, I tried squeezing them together in hopes of a tighter seam but it didn't happen)

Vending Machine Batman Pencil Top Eraser

I was surprised to discover that the local Dillons grocery store had a vending machine offering pencil top erasers featuring character logos from DC Comics. I put in my fifty cents and managed to score a Batman pencil top eraser. It measures one inch long and a little over half an inch high. The black bat is raised a bit on the top. I would have tried for more but I didn't have any more quarters (I had plenty of pennies, dimes and nickles but I noticed that none of the vending machines took those anymore).

The usual superheroes are there: Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, and The Flash. Unfortunately, Robin gets one instead of Wonder Woman or Aquaman.
