Alice Cooper #4 Covers

Alice Cooper #4 came out last week but I didn't get around to reading it until today. I listened to his Road album while reading it. Alice Cooper meets the Pope in this issue before playing round one against Lucifer. This mini series concludes next issue.

Countdown to Halloween 2023 Day 8: Alice Cooper #1

Alice Cooper #1 from Dynamite Entertainment hits the newsstands last Wednesday. Lucifer is singing the blues but wants the love of the world so he decides to knock off the world's greatest rock musicians. Alice Cooper is warned by the archangel Gabriel that he has to stop him because he is also a target. From what I can find, this mini-series is going to be six issues.

Countdown To Halloween Day 4: My Halloween Loot Crate

Loot Crate is a great subscription box filled with exciting merchandise for geeks. There is usually a theme like Futuristic, Magic and Anti-Hero. I thought I would write a little about what I would like to see in my Halloween Loot Crate.

For starters, I would like to see something featuring Elvira in a major way. This may be a Funko Pop, an action figure, a t-shirt or a comic book. The next character I would like to see featured in a major way would be Vampirella. Other characters that I would like to see featured include Lady Death, Alice Cooper and Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid's version not Ben Cross or Johnny Depp). Any issue of the classic Famous Monsters of past or present would be cool too.

What would you put together if you were able to create your own Loot Crate theme? You can check out their past and current subscription crate selection if you’re in need of additional ideas.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 16: Alice Cooper vs Chaos! #1

This is one of those posts that I could have written last month but I saved it up for the Countdown to Halloween 2015. Alice Cooper vs Chaos! #1 from Dynamite Comics rocks on so many levels. The cover features Alice among several characters from the Chaos Comics including Purgatori, Chastity, Evil Ernie and Smiley.

Alice Cooper moonlights as the Lord of Nightmares and something is amiss in the other world:

Chastity and Lane Silver are hunting a big baddie underneath Denver, Colorado and things don't go well for them:

They meet up with Purgatori, which is really not a good thing:

Meanwhile in Roseville, Minnesota, Rashad and Vex from the Chosen gets closer, which is weird considering he is a zombie, moments before the rest of the gang shows up:

Vex becomes possessed by Draum-Njorun and recites part of the lyrics from Alice Cooper's Welcome To My Nightmare:

Finally, we catch up with Evil Ernie in Box Butte County, Nebraska:

I won't reveal the ending here but this issue sets up the rest of the series pretty good. While I never read many of the original Choas! Comics from the 1990s, I am familiar with them mostly thanks to reading articles and previews in Wizard (remember that magazine?). I highly recommend reading Alice Cooper vs Chaos! #1.

2008 Halloween Countdown 21 Bonus: Alice Cooper's Munster Mash Marathon

I finally got to see the commercial for Alice Cooper's Munster Mash Marathon. The shock rocker is hosting eight hours of The Munsters starting 4 pm East/1 pm West on Friday, October 31st. The website has the promo video, an online trivia game called "Alice Cooper's Munster Mash", titles of the episodes that will air and clips from the series.

Alice Cooper has been in several comic books starting with Marvel Premiere #50 (October 1979) with the story titled "From The Inside".

Next came the unauthorized biography from Rock N' Roll Comics #18.

Finally, there was a three issue comic series from Marvel Music called The Last Temptation by Neil Gaiman and Michael Zulli.

The only comic that I have with Alice Cooper is Rock N' Roll #18. I do have several of his albums on vinyl, cassette and/or cds. I am surprised that no one has turned his Welcome To My Nightmare album into a comic book yet.
