Marvel Nano Pods Wave 2 Ghost-Spider

I not only found one Mavel Nano Pods Wave 2 Ghost-Spider but I ended up finding three of them. I'm pretty sure this one is based on the Marvel's Soidey and His Amazing Friends cartoon series. I have seen a few episodes and it's pretty good.

Marvel Nano Pods Wave 2 Boxes and Inserts

I found eight boxes of Marvel Nano Pods Wave 2 at the local Walmart's last week. They were in the clearance aisle for a dollar each so I got them all. I think I might have seen them earlier this year in the toy aisle but I passed on them because they were between five and six dollars. Half of the boxes had the round clear sticker peeled half off so it appeared that they had either been tampered with or the quality control at Wow! Stuff really sucks. The pods are two by two inches, which makes the figurines about an inch tall. The Marvel Nano Pods Wave 2 includes the following miniature figurines: Super Rare Metallic Star-Lord, Uniform Rocket Raccoon, Black Widow, Star-Lord, Captain Marvel, Attack Rocket Raccoon, Potted Groot, Thor, Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, Miles Morals, Spider-Man 2099 and Anti-Venom. Women Wednesday: Spider-Gwen: Smash #1 and #2 Covers

I missed out on Spider-Gwen: Smash #1 last month, which is a shame for it's actually pretty good. On Earth-65, teenage Gwen Stacy is the drummer for the all-girl band known as The Mary Janes when she's not in costume as Ghost-Spider. They have been asked to go on tour with Dazzler and the Uncut Gems (yes, they do appear in this issue). Rick Jones is the guitarist for Dazzler's band and he hulks out.

Superhero Valentines At Dollar Tree

I picked up three boxes of this year's superhero Valentines at the local Dollar Tree. That proved to be a bit of a mistake on my part. First off is the Avengers Valentines, which is the same as last year's Avengers Valentines except that it has the following stickers:

The eleventh sticker in the Marvel Super Hero Adventures set is what I call Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. Peter Parker aka Spider-Man is shown with Miles Morales aka Ultimate Spider-Man on one side and Gwen Stacy aka Spider[Gwen on the other side. The background graphics of the city buildings and black spider is pretty cool too. The other thing cooler would have been to seen Spider-Man's original amazing friends, which were Firestar and Iceman.

There are a lot of characters on this Marvel Super Hero Adventures Sticker #10: Spider-Man and the Avengers. There is Spider-Man and his amazing friends, Gwen Stacey aka Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales aka the Ultimate Spider-Man. The Avengers are represented by the Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Captain America, Black Panther, Antman, Ms. Marvel, Wasp and Iron Man. Whew, that's a lot of characters for a vending machine sticker based on a Disney cartoon series.

Countdown to Valentine's Day 2020 Day 5: Spider-Verse Vudu Valentine

I found this free Vudu Valentines offer in my inbox earlier today. You fill out a form to send a free movie themed Valentine’s Day card by mail. You must make your request by February 9 to get it mailed out in time. Besides the Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse card, you can also choose from John Wick, Pennywise, Joker, Pikachu and more. Here's a screenshot of the card featuring Peter Parker without his Spider-Man mask, Gwen Stacy as Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales:

Countdown to Valentine's Day 2020 Day 4: Marvel Spider-Man 32 Valentines

This box of Marvel Spider-Man 32 Valentines was also picked up at the local Dollar General last week for a dollar. The contents include four strips of eight cards and a sheet of red heart-shaped stickers. The front of the box shows Spider-Man getting ready to shoot his webbing at you:

Peter Parker in the usual blue and red wallcrawler costume is featured on the first two and fourth cards while Miles Morales in the dark colored Ultimate Spider-Man costume is featured on the third card:

I like this set and was surprised by the guest appearance of Spider-Gwen and the Miles Morales. I was glad that no villains appeared in this set even though I wouldn't mind seeing Black Cat pop up.
