T-shirt Tuesday: Star Wars Darth Vader T-shirt

The third and final t-shirt that I picked up last week for two dollars is this Star Wars Darth Vader t-shirt. It's pretty cool since it has the villain holding his lightsaber on the right side and a close up of his masked head in the background on the left. This make my first Star Wars t-shirt that I have ever owned.

According to Pop Culture Artist Extraordinaire, Greg Hildebrandt, Dies At 85.

Goodnight Felix Silla

Sad news for Felix Silla, the actor and stuntman who played Cousin Itt, dies at 84. In addition to his role on The Addams Family tv series, he also played the robot Twiki/Odee-x on Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, an Ewok in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Dink in Spaceballs.

Science Fiction Saturday: Death Star Droid 1978 Action Figure

I retrieved a few boxes that had been stored in my grandmother's garage for the past thirty years or so. Among the various toys was this Death Star Droid action figure produced by Kenner in 1978. The Star Wars robot is still in good condition considering that it was loose. I used to play with him when my sister and I played with our three level homemade dollhouse that my mother and step-dad made. We had to toss the dollhouse out a few years ago due the fact that it was falling apart. The Death Star Droid 1978 action figure is for sale if anybody wants it. Countdown to Christmas 2015 Day 20: Mini Trix With PZ-4CO

I did manage to find a limited edition Star Wars: The Force Awakens version of Mini Trix with the silly rabbit dressed as Princess Leia:

The back of the cereal box features the same secret message from BB-8 that was found on the limited edition Honey Nut Cheerios box:

I found an all blue PZ-4CO droid viewer inside the box of cereal:

This droid viewer has the light source screen on the back:

You can see a picture of PZ-4CO from Star Wars: The Force Awakens by looking at the peep hole in the bottom.

Countdown to Christmas 2015 Day 19: Star Wars Honey Nut Cheerios With BB-8

General Mills put out a limited edition Star Wars: The Force Awakens version of their cereals this year in time for Halloween. I didn't get them all before Halloween since our local Walmart's didn't carry them all and the ones they did carry didn't hit the shelves until the first week of November. The first one that I did pick up was Honey Nut Cheerios with Buzz dressed up as Darth Vader on the front:

The back of the box features a secret message from BB-8 plus a look at the six droid viewers found within the limited edition boxes:

I got lucky and ended up pulling an all orange BB-8 droid viewer from the box:

The name of BB-8 is on the back in case you didn't know which droid it was:

There is a peep hole on the bottom of the droid viewer so you can see a picture of BB-8 from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It works best if you point the top towards a very bright light source.

Star Wars Plus Mystery Temporary Tattoos

I had a few quarters and decided to try my luck at the vending machines this morning. The local Dillons store had a vending machine offering Star Wars temporary tattoos for fifty cents each so I bought three. Technically, they should have been called Star Wars: The Force Awakens temporary tattoos since the artwork features many characters from the upcoming science fiction movie. They were made by Vending Supply and there are fifteen tattoos in this set.

The third one features a Stormtrooper:

The fourth Star Wars temporary tattoo features Chewbacca, Captain Phasma, Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron (yes, I had to look up to see who that last one was):

The tenth one features Chewbacca:

I had one quarter left so I decided to try the mystery vending machine at the same store. I ended up with PAW Patrol temporary tattoo #6, which feature Chase. I have never seen an episode of the cartoon series but I might have to check it out after getting this tattoo. The series is also made by Vending Supply and there are ten designs in this set.

Thrift Store Finds: Playskool Jar Jar Binks

This Star Wars Jedi Force Jar Jar Binks from Playskool is another action figure that was in a two dollar bag that I picked up a few weeks ago at a local thrift store. He stands at 2 3/4" with 2011 Hasbro on the bottom of one foot. I like having him mostly because I don't have a lot of alien action figures.

Unfortunately, I didn't get the Anakin Skywalker action figure that he originally came packaged with.

Countdown to Halloween 2013 Day 31: Angry Birds Star Wars Bucket, Stickers and Fruit Gummies

Halloween is finally here and I'm finally sharing pictures of the Angry Birds Star Wars bucket and stickers that I got a few weeks ago with a cheeseburger Happy Meal from McDonald's. The Death Star in the background has a pig snout and ears:

Chuck the Yellow Bird is dressed up as Han Solo and Terrance the Big Brother Bird as Chewbacca:

There are two pigs dressed up as two different versions of Boba Fett (yes, I know it's not a very good picture showcasing them but they are on there):

The Angry Birds Star Wars stickers features a lot of the characters in costumes (my favorite has to be the Ewok):

As an added bonus, I found an empty box of Angry Birds Star Wars Fruit Gummies last month in the parking lot of the store where I work. Surprisingly, it too features Chuck the Yellow bird dressed up as Han Solo and Terrance the Big Brother Bird as Chewbacca (this is number three in a series of five):

She will be back according to It's official! Carrie Fisher says Leia is back for Star Wars VII. I can live without seeing her in the slave bikini again but I do hope that picks up a blaster again and kicks ass with Han and Luke:

Blog Alert: Food Junk

Turkey Day is just a few days away so what better way to start the celebration early than visiting Food Junk. Star Wars fans will enjoy the Stormtrooper action figure that is the blog's mascot and is featured with every item reviewed. In addition to food and drink, other items are also review such as the Lip Smacker's Girl Scout Cookie Flavored Lip Balms.

Obi-Wan Meets His Spirit

The Obi-Wan Powers of the Force action figure from 1995 features a removable cloak and robe. I believe that I found him at a local thrift store for a buck. Ben Kanobi is hard to stand since his leg is bent out of shape. I do have his light saber but he is not shown with it.

The Spirit of Obi-Wan is from 1997 and was a mail-in figurine from Frito Lays that I actually sent off for. His right arm does move up and down a little. He is holding the light saber belonging to Obi-Wan from 1995 since he looks cooler with it. Holding the Spirit of Obi-Wan to the light is even cooler since he is made from semi-transparent green plastic.

Thrift Store Find: Star Wars FX-7 Medical Droid

If you blinked at the wrong time while watching Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, then you might have missed seeing the FX-7 medical droid on screen. Along with 2-1B, it helped Luke Skywalker recover from his Wampa encounter on Hoth. I actually picked it up a few years ago at a local thrift store in a bag with other action figures that I wanted. I like the fact that his "head" extends up.

TFAW Grab Bag #40: Star Wars: Underworld - The Yavin Vassilika #3, #4 and #5

The variant of Dark Horse's Star Wars: Underworld - The Yavin Vassilika #3 (February 2001) features a photo of Harrison Ford as Han Solo. The adventure is fun but I am not crazy about the interior art by Carlos Meglia. I received eight copies of this issue in the grab bag from TFAW.

I also received one copy of Star Wars: Underworld - The Yavin Vassilika #4 (April 2001). Shame that Andrew Robinson and Dave Stewart only did the cover artwork.

I also received six copies of the photo cover variant of #4.

Finally, I received one copy of Star Wars: Underworld - The Yavin Vassilika #5 (June 2001). I am not a big fan of the cover by Carlos Meglia.

TFAW Grab Bag #39: Star Wars: Starfighter - Crossbones #2

I received Star Wars: Starfighter - Crossbones #2 (February 2002) from TFAW as part of their grab bag comic special. This issue has Nym fighting an alien shark-like creature called the relix on the planet Maramere. I liked this issue but only needed one copy instead of the three that I received.
