Women Wednesday: Batgirl #1 (January 2025)

Batgirl #1 (January 2025) was released today and features Cassandra Cain in her first solo series in nearly twenty years. The issue starts with Cassandra Cain aka Batgirl talking to her mother, Lady Shiva. They are attacked by ninjas in bright blue outfits that call themselves the Unburied. The mother and daughter fight each other and the ninjas before making their escape. There is an explosion at Lady Shiva's temple and they go there to find the high priest barely alive. He tries to warn her before being killed by the Unburied. Lady Shiva takes a stand against them and Batgirl joins her. Batgirl #1 (January 2025) also features "AEW Presents Darby Allin" bonus story with a special appearance by Sting. Overall, not a bad first issue if you are a Cassandra Cain and Lady Shiva fan but I find the Darby Allin story more interesting.

Countdown to Halloween 2024 Day 27: DC Horror Presents #1

DC Horror Presents #1 hit the newsstands last Wednesday from DC Comics. This issue features two horror stories that has nothing to do with the cover featuring a zombified Superman. The first story is "Love You To Pieces" that features Matilda Mathis aka Dollhouse bringing her dead lover, Max, to her dad, the Dollmaker. Yeah, I had to look them up for this is the first time I have read anything with any of them (they are Batman villains). The second story finds Wonder Woman and Donna Troy aka Wonder Girl trying to find a brutal serial killer on Themyscira. There is a bonus story featuring AEW woman wrestler, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. The stories are good, but the cover really should have had either Dollhouse, Wonder Woman or both. Hopefully, the next three issues have better covers that are relatable to the contents.

Women Wednesday: Chyna WWE SuperCard Cards

I've been playing a lot of WWE SuperCard on Facebook for the last month. It's basically a wrestling card game for mobile users but I've been playing it on my desktop computer. My two favorite cards include the Chyna Wrestlemania 37 card and the Chyna Vanguard card. The Vanguard card is the only one that I actually have while I could "buy" the Wrestlemania 37 card. There are other cards featuring Chyna but I usually see them in decks of my opponents.

Dwayne Johnson Set To Play Black Adam In Shazam Movie

According to Dwayne Johnson to Play Black Adam in Shazam!, he had the choice to play either the heroic Captain Marvel, who is now known as Shazam, or the villainous Black Adam. I think he choose wisely.
