Women Wednesday: Harley Quinn x Elvira #6

DC Comics and Harley Quinn released Harley Quinn x Elvira #6 on March 18. It is the conclusion of the season and seems fitting to end the month of April spotlighting it for this week's Women Wednesday post. Cover artists include Amanda Conner (Cover A), Chad Hardin (Cover B), Joseph Michael Linsner (Cover C) and Ben Caldwell (Cover D). There are also fifteen other variant covers, which I'm not showing. Here is the official summary:

"NO SLEEP ’TIL CONEY ISLAND! Even the coolest, most out-of-this-world road trips have to end sometime, and the party’s nearly over for the Mistress of the Dark and the Clown Princess of crime — but they are definitely going out with the biggest of big bangs! Will this fabulously dynamic duo be able to pull off the most ambitious holiday happening ever attempted by two amateur party planners? Find out as Elvira and Harley Quinn unleash upon the world the glory that is FOOL-O-WEEN!"

Women Wednesday: Harley Quinn X Elvira #4 Covers

Harley Quinn X Elvira #4 comes out today from DC Comics and Dynamite. Once again, the main cover artists are Amanda Conner, Chad Hardin, Joseph Michael Linsner and Ben Caldwell. The interior art was done by Amanda Conner and Juan Samu. The story was written by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti. Here is the official summary:

"OUT OF THE FRYING PAN AND INTO THE FIRE! With things getting too hot to handle back in Brooklyn, Elvira and Harley abscond to the cooler climes of Transylvania to crash with one of Elvira’s best buddies in his tastefully appointed castle. But despite their reputation as old-school hedonists, the Count’s already-invited guests don’t much care for this pair of interlopers — and they’ve got some decidedly medieval ideas for how to deal with party crashers!"

Dynamite Entertainment released Red Sonja New Year’s Special 2025 #1 last week but I'm posting it for this week's Women Wednesday post since it's New Year's Eve. There are several alternate covers but I'm only posting the first three plus the two cover gallery pages. Here is the official summary:

Countdown to Christmas 2025 Day 24: Harley Quinn X Elvira #3 Covers

Harley Quinn X Elvira #3 came out last week from DC Comics and Dynamite. While the issue has nothing to do with Christmas, I'm using it for this week's Women Wednesday post. Of course, there are several covers with most of them featuring Elvira, Harley Quinn and Powergirl. Cover A was done by Amanda Conner, cover B by Chad Harden and cover C by Joseph Michael Linsner. Here is official summary:

"NEXT STOP: TRANSYLVANIA! Harley Quinn’s plan to throw a borough-wide Halloween party in Brooklyn to save Elvira’s cancelled TV show is shaping up nicely — and by “nicely,” of course we mean “total chaos!” Facing a distinct lack of legitimate investors on this side of the Atlantic, Harley and her reluctant partner in crime have to broaden their appeals. That means courting Old World money — and money doesn’t get much older than the mouldering family fortunes found in certain European crypts!"

Countdown to Christmas 2025 Day 3: Vampirella Helliday 2025 Special #1

This week's Women Wednesday post spotlights Vampirella Helliday 2025 Special #1 that was released last week. It's a sequel to last year's special so if you missed that then may Krampus put you in his sack. I can't decide which cover is my favorite since #1A is by Joseph Michael Linsner, #1B is by Celina and #1C features cosplayer Rachel Hollon.

Here's the official summary:

"I SAW VAMPI BITING SANTA CLAUS! In the aftermath of last year’s North Pole shenanigans, Vampirella finds herself facing off against the spirits of every major holiday that the calendar has to offer — all determined to thwart her magnanimous mission to make the winter solstice season magical once more!"

Countdown to Valentine's Day 2021 Day 13: Red Sonja Valentine's Special 2021

Today is a special day for it's my 672nd natal anniversary. For those non-Elvish folks, that means today is my fifty-sixth birthday. It's really too cold to do much celebrating so to warm things up here is a special look at Red Sonja Valentine's Special 2021 from Dynamite Entertainment.
