Hot Wheels 2025 The Brave and the Bold Black Batmobile

I picked up this Hot Wheels 2025 The Brave and the Bold black Batmobile yesterday morning at the local Walmart's for $1.18. I have the bronze version and the dark maroon version. I like this because it has red windows and red rim black chrome wheels. It is #145 of 250 in the main set and #4 of 5 in the Batman set.

The stripes on the sides and hood are two tone salmon color.

Hot Wheels 2023 Bronze Batmobile

I picked up this Hot Wheels 2023 Bronze Batmobile along with the White Batmobile that I posted yesterday back in September. This is based on the Batmobile from the cartoon series, Batman: The Brave and the Bold. It is an alternate paint job of #137 in the main series and #4 in the Batman subset. I also have the Dark Maroon Batmobile version.

Hot Wheels 2023 Dark Maroon Batmobile

I picked up this Hot Wheels 2023 Dark Maroon Batmobile from the local Walmart's a few days ago. It is based on the Batmobile from the Batman: The Brave and the Bold cartoon series and the first one was released in 2010. I wasn't for sure if I had it or not since the copyright year on the back of the card reads 2021. It's #4 of the Batman subset and #137 of the main set. According to Hot Wheels Wiki, there is also a bronze version.

Note: I corrected this post after realizing that it was dark maroon and not bronze.

Ollie's Comic Book Grab Bag

On my first visit to Ollie's last month, I discovered a bunch of comic book grab bags. I couldn't resist picking up a ten pack for $6.99 that supposedly has a retail value of $35. The front of the bag has the following text:

"A variety mix of 10 classic comic books!"

"Featuring Marvel, DC, Archie, Mirage, etc."

"Supreme Marketing 126 Shove St Box 9 Fall River, MA 02724"

The picture below shows the back of one of the comics that features an ad for warnerarchive.com (the site redirects to warnerbros.com now) that shows Batman now on blu-ray, Batman: The Brave and the Bold the complete first season now on blue-ray (Aquaman shown), Legends of the Superheroes tv special from 1979 (I still need to get that one) and Batman: The Brave and the Bold the complete second season coming soon (Batman is shown with Green Arrow and Blue Beetle). The comic didn't actually come that way in the bag but I didn't want to show the cover just yet. I will be posting the comic covers over the next ten days.

There is nothing on the back of the bag. I don't know when I'll be back at Ollie's again but I will pick up at least another comic book grab bag if they still have them.

Movie Monday: Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts

I picked up the Batman Unlimited: Animal Instints DVD at the local Dollar Tree back in May of this year. I watched it a few weeks ago but never got around to posting about it here until now. This is actually the first entry to the Batman Unlimited series (Batman Unlimited: Mechs Vs Monsters is the sequel). Roger Craig Smith is Batman, Chris Diamantopoulos is Green Arrow and Will Friedle is Nightwing. I actually enjoyed watching Silverback and Cheetah more than the good guys. The animated movie is kids friendly but even adults will enjoy it too. Special features include two episodes of The Brave and The Bold cartoon series.

Batman Unlimited: Mechs Vs Mutants DVD

Batman Unlimited: Mechs Vs Mutants is the 2015 sequel to Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts, which I have not seen. I found the dvd a few weeks ago at the local Dollar Tree. Batman is voice by Roger Craig Smith while the Joker is voiced by Troy Baker. Other superheroes that appear include Green Arrow, Nightwing, Red Robin and Cyborg while Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Clayface, Scarecrow, Silver Banshee and Solomon Grunddy are other supervillains that appear. This is more kid friendly than the last few animated movies based on characters from DC Comics that I have watched lately. The special feature is the Batman: The Brave & The Bold episode titled "Night of the Batmen".

Countdown to Halloween 2020 Day 15: DC The Doomed and the Damned #1

DC The Doomed and the Damned #1 is an 80-page giant that DC Comics released on December 13, 2020. The stories are a mix bag of horror and humor. I really hope they release more issues under this title, which is a homage to The Brave and the Bold series.

"It was a dark and stormy night when the creatures of the DC Universe began to emerge from their lairs into the cool evening air. Tales of the macabre, the murderous, and the morbid abound in this spine-chilling special about monsters and mayhem! What happens when Batman encounters a true urban legend after speaking its name three times in a mirror, or when Madame Xanadu enlists the help of Man-Bat to take down a shadowy specter? And who can stop an intergalactic demon from turning people into frog beasts? Only the unlikely team-up of Green Lantern and Etrigan! All this and seven more fang-tastic tales to trick your treats and bob your apples."

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Brave & Bold Bat-Mite

This 2011 McDonald's The Brave and the Bold Happy Meal Bat-Mite figurine is actually the second one I found at a local thrift store (the first was posted here):
Front of McDonald's Brave & Bold Bat-Mite
He is mostly dark blue with some white, yellow, flesh and black. He stands only two inches tall and wobbles a little when I try to stand him up.
Back of McDonald's Brave & Bold Bat-Mite
At least the pictures of the newly found Bat-Mite figurine turned out better than that of the first one I found. Yes, this one was found in the same dollar bag with a bunch of other toys from The Brave and the Bold Happy Meal.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Brave & Bold Batman With Batarang

This 2011 McDonald's The Brave and the Bold Happy Meal Batman with a batarang in his right hand was yet another figurine in the dollar bag that I picked up a local thrift store a few weeks ago:
Front of McDonald's Brave & Bold Batman with batarang
He is mostly blue and gray with some flesh, yellow and black. His boots and gloves should have been blue instead of gray.
Back of McDonald's Brave & Bold Batman with batarang
This Batman figurine looks like it would be pain to stand up but it's not.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Brave & Bold Joker

I found this 2011 McDonald's The Brave and the Bold Happy Meal Joker figurine in the same dollar bag that I picked up at a local thrift store a few weeks ago:
Front of McDonald's Brave & Bold Joker
He is almost all purple with an orange boxing glove along with his traditional green hair, white face and red lips.
Back of McDonald's Brave & Bold Joker
The Joker figurine can be a pain to stand up for he is standing on his right toes, which makes for a small surface area.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Brave & Bold Riddler

This 2011 McDonald's The Brave and the Bold Happy Meal Riddler figurine is from the same dollar bag that I picked up a few weeks ago that had the Aquaman figurine:
Front of the McDonald's Brave & Bold Riddler
I like how the question mark is in black on his chest.
Back of the McDonald's Brave & Bold Riddler
Shame that the question mark on his back was not done the same way. This Riddler is almost completely green for the only other colors are black and flesh.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Brave & Bold Aquaman

I picked up a bag of ten toys a few weeks ago at a local thrift store for a dollar. One of them was Aquaman from McDonald's The Brave and the Bold Happy Meal in 2011:
Front of McDonald's Brave & Bold Aquaman
This is a really cool collectible figurine and the yellow, orange and green colors just pop.
Back of McDonald's Brave & Bold Aquaman
You may be wondering why I haven't posted this before. That is because I finally got a Olympus FE-170 replacement camera that I actually won on eBay at a really low price. I really missed the macro for taking pictures of small items.

Thrift Store Finds: McDonald's Brave & Bold Plastic Man

I made the rounds to the local thrift stores earlier this afternoon. I have not been to them for the past few weeks. Right off the bat I found a bag for a quarter that had a Plastic Man action figure from McDonald's Batman: The Brave and the Bold Happy Meal in 2010. His arms and legs are bendable, which is a good thing when you are trying to make him stand up. Plastic man's right hand is a giant fist while his left is a giant mallet. Only his head and arms rotate 360 degrees.

A Mickey Mouse in tuxedo figurine was also in the bag and I believe that he comes from the McDonald's Disneyland World Happy Meal line:

Not shown is a cheap small plastic butterfly slinky. Overall, not a bad buy for twenty-five cents.

Thrift Store Find: Haunted Coach

Yesterday was my weekly trip to the local thrift stores and I found a Haunted Coach from McDonald's Happy Meal Batman: The Brave and the Bold 2011 series for fifty cents. The car looks cool but does not roll well since the four wheels are non-functioning. There is a thick roller in the bottom and slightly in front of the rear wheels that is used for movement, which does not do very well. I would have enjoyed a pull back and release feature.

The Haunted Coach originally came packaged with the Spectre and Gentleman Ghost figures that were not found at the thrift store. Hopefully, I will find both soon.

Thrift Store Finds: Batman Robot

I found this Batman Robot figurine from McDonald's Batman: The Brave and the Bold Happy Meal in the same fifty cent thrift store bag that I found Black Manta and Bat-Mite:

Thrift Store Finds: Bat-Mite

This Bat-Mite figurine (I hate to call him an action figure since nothing moves) was in the same fifty cent bag that Black Manta was inside. He is also part of the McDonald's Batman: The Brave and the Bold Happy Meal.

Thrift Store Finds: Hang Climber Batman And Tall Robin Action Figures

We hit the local thrift stores this morning after I put in a few hours at the store. I found a five inch Brave and the Bold Hang Climber Batman from Mattel for fifty cents. He takes some time getting his feet just right in order for him to stand on his own. I was losing my patience so he is leaning in the pictures. His cape has a slit in it so the hang glider wing can be put on and his knees does not bend. The hang glider wing can also be put on Batman's elbow for an odd-looking shield.

I also picked up an oddly dressed nine inch Robin that Hasbro put out in 1998 for only a buck. He has a homemade purple felt cape and is missing his vest. The paint is worn is some places and his knees does not bend. I might just take the cape off and find a way to put a R on his chest before displaying him.

Firestorm, Solomon Grundy And Two-Face

Batman: The Brave And The Bold toys are back inside McDonald's Happy Meals but with a difference. Each of the package contains three toys. I managed to get my grubby hands on #2 that contained Firestorm, Solomon Grundy and Two-Face figurines. Grundy is the tallest of trio at 2 1/2" from foot to tip of left hand while the other two are 2 1/4" tall.

I like Firestorm the best because of his red legs, hair and nuclear blast is red plastic that sort of glows when held up to the light.

Solomon Grundy would make a great bodyguard:

Two-Face looks ready to flip his coin:

My camera did not capture the one side of the Happy Meal box that was devoted to Batman: The Brave And The Bold very well. Batman and Plastic Man are featured with the following text: "Follow this action-packed story! 1. On a dark, rainy night in Gotham City... 2. Bam!! There is a sudden, loud noise from The Joker's warehouse... 3. Batman & Friends rush to save the day! Finally, it was the moment of truth... Your turn! Use your Happy Meal toys and your imagination to finish this amazing adventure!"

The test in the bat-circle reads as follows: "Punch out this and use your Happy Meal box as your toys' hideout!"
Batman: The Brave And The Bold side of Happy Meal box
Two sides of the Happy Meal box is devoted to the Zoobles while one side has a smile. The toys also come with an insert that identifies the figurines plus a mCode to help Batman solve the McWorld mystery.
