I received the new Marvel Super Hero checks and address labels at Walmart flyer along with my monthly credit card bill today. The front clearly shows the Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man and Thor gathered together on the left side. This series is being called the "Avengers Assemble" series but you have to read the small print to notice it. The checks shown are of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and the Hulk while the labels shown include Black Widow, Hawkeye, Nick Fury and the Falcon.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Marvel Heroes Thing
I only hit two of the three thrift stores that I usually visit this morning. I picked up a McDonald's Marvel Heroes Thing from 2010. If you slide the button on the back and slam him down hard, then he says "It's clobberin' time!" The action figure is 3 3/4" high and his head moves just a bit to either side. I picked up the McDonald's Marvel Heroes Thing for fifty cents.

Marvel Heroes Checks At Walmart Flyer
I need to check the flyers that come with my credit cards more often because I found one for Marvel Heroes checks at Walmart. The 3 1/2" by 6 1/2" flyer features Hulk, Spider-Man, Phoenix, Thing and Wolverine on personal checks. The product page also shows Spider-Woman, Hawkeye and Storm. You can also buy address labels and checkbook cover.

The back discusses the new high security Personal Check from Walmart Check Printing so I did not scan it.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Marvel Heroes Wolverine
Wolverine stopped hanging out at McDonald's because they made him child proof his pop out claws. I found him at a local thrift store last week hanging out in a bag with other Happy Meal toys. I like his blue and yellow uniform even if he can no longer stab a McRib.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Marvel Heroes Captain America
For Veteran's Day this year, Captain America is hanging out at McDonald's to ask for donations to get a new shield. He will sing any of the hits from the forties for fifty dollars or more. For donations over a hundred, he will give you the phone number of any of his fellow Marvel Heroes friends.

Marvel Heroes Wristbands
These Marvel Heroes wristbands were found in the same vending machine that I found the Marvel Heroes Heads that I posted about yesterday. There are twelve in a set but I only have two. The first has eleven characters from Marvel Comics while the second only has Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America. They are too small for my wrists but they can be attached to phones, mp3 players and portable game consoles. The wristband is made out of soft cloth-like material.

Marvel Heroes Heads
Only two local stores still have vending machines filled with candy and toys. One of them has Marvel Heroes Heads for seventy-five cents each and there are six in a set. There are two different sets: ones with bodies and ones without. I first got the Hulk and thought he was an antennae ball until I noticed that the plastic wrapper was made to come off. The head pops apart so you can imagine my surprise when the Captain America and Iron Man Marvel Heroes Heads that I got on my second trip rattled. I then decided that I should actually read the display sign that tells exactly what the vending machine is selling. My third visit found me getting Thor with a body and Wolverine without a body. I am only missing Spider-Man but I am currently out of quarters.

Marvel Heroes Notebook and Portfolio
The Marvel Heroes notebook and matching portfolio both feature the Hulk, Iron Man and Nightcrawler (I guess someone finally figured out that Wolverine is used way too often on merchandise but I wonder why Old Shellhead is flying so low). The notebook was $2.50 and the portfolio was $0.97 at my local Wal-Mart Super Center. The notebook has a lenticular front cover while the back has the Marvel Heroes logo. The back of the portfolio has a small group shot of Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man and Wolverine. The portfolio has the various heroes in the blue background. The interior of the portfolio has a strip featuring the part of the Hulk, Spider-Man, Thor, Captain America and part of Wolverine. The Marvel Heroes logo has three pairs of eyes (Hulk, Spider-Man and Wolverine) covering the image of Iron Man on the strip. FAB Starpoint distributed both items with a copyright of 2010. The Marvel Kids website is featured on the back of both items.
