Hot Wheels Batman 5-Pack 2024

Today was my lucky day for I found this Hot Wheels Batman 5-pack from 2024 at the local Dollar General. I have not seen this 5-pack at the local Walmart's, so I quickly grabbed this.  There are two batmobiles, two villain cars and a cop car. Here's the front featuring all five Hot Wheels die-cast cars:

Here's the back featuring Batman reaching out for you:

Mr. Freeze is represented by the Sir Ominous car with a bluish silver color. The Batman Batmobile has gold look to it. The photos below don't do the paint jobs justice.

The Penguin is represented by the Fast Felion car painted metalflake purple. The Gotham City Police car is painted metalflake gray '11 Dodge Charger R/T (to me it looks brownish).

Finally, there is the chrome Batmobile from 2019.

DC Super Friends: Triple Threat Children's Book

The last children's book that I picked up at the local Dollar Tree on Monday was DC Super Friends: Triple Threat. The story was written by Steve Korte with illustrations by Erik Doescher, Mike DeCarlo and David Tanguay. The cover features Batman, Robin, Flash and Cyborg. The Super Friends go up against Joker, Riddler and Penguin before Aquaman shows up at the end. The story and artwork are pretty fun but I'm a little miffed that Aquaman is not also on the cover.

Hot Wheels The Batman Five Pack

I picked up the Hot Wheels The Batman Five Pack last week at the local Walmart's. I would have posted pictures sooner but I'm having problems with my Olympus digital camera again. The Bruce Wayne car is a '64 Corvette Sting Ray, the Batmobile is from the recent The Batman movie, the Riddler car is Burl-Esgue, the Penguin car is a classic Nomad, and the Catwoman car is the Gov'ner. The images on the Riddler, Penguin and Catwoman cars features the characters from Batman: The Animated Series. That is good because I wouldn't want images of the Riddler and the Penguin from the movie on them. However, I wouldn't mind having the Catwoman from the movie on her car. I wish there was a way to open the box without destroying it so I could take the cars out of the box and take better pictures. I would have to say that the Riddler car is my favorite from this set.

I think that it's about time that Alfred get his own Hot Wheels diecast car.

Batman Unlimited: Mechs Vs Mutants DVD

Batman Unlimited: Mechs Vs Mutants is the 2015 sequel to Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts, which I have not seen. I found the dvd a few weeks ago at the local Dollar Tree. Batman is voice by Roger Craig Smith while the Joker is voiced by Troy Baker. Other superheroes that appear include Green Arrow, Nightwing, Red Robin and Cyborg while Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Clayface, Scarecrow, Silver Banshee and Solomon Grunddy are other supervillains that appear. This is more kid friendly than the last few animated movies based on characters from DC Comics that I have watched lately. The special feature is the Batman: The Brave & The Bold episode titled "Night of the Batmen".

Batman Jumbo Coloring & Activity Book 2010 Covers With 2018 Interiors

I picked up a few new superhero coloring books at the local Dollar Tree earlier. Among them was this Batman Jumbo Coloring & Activity Book. The most odd thing about it is that the copyright on the front page and back cover is for 2010 but all the other interior pages show the copyright as 2018. I can only conclude that this was a rushed reprint error. The Robin that appears in this one is Tim Drake since there is a word search puzzle with his name plus the costume pretty much indicates that it is him. The villains that appear include the Joker, Penguin, Killer Croc, Man-Bat, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze and the Riddler. The activity pages include mazes, word searches, squares, puzzles, which is different,  crack the code, draw, make a match and unscramble words.

Hot Wheels Batman 5-Pack 2015

The reason that I haven't posted the Hot Wheels Batman 5-pack from 2015 is because I had a hard time taking any good pictures of it. I finally decided to try scanning the front and back. I have never opened this but I've been tempted so I could take pictures of the individual vehicles. The Hot Wheels vehicles include Batcopter, Batmobile, Ford Fusion (Gotham City Police), Midnight Otto (Penguin) and So Fine (Joker).

There are a total of thirty-six stickers with each sheet having nine stickers. Characters include Batman, Penguin, Catwoman, Robin, Joker, Riddler and Batgirl. I believe I picked these stickers up at the local Alco's years before they went out of business.

My Thoughts On Gotham

I watched the encore presentation of FOX's Gotham earlier this evening. I have noticed a few things. Oswald aka the Penguin, Nigma aka the Riddler and the unnamed comic aka the Joker if that was indeed him are much older than Bruce Wayne while Selina Kyle aka Catwoman and Ivy Pepper aka Poison Ivy are closer to his age. Selina seems to be stalking Bruce so I hope she gets a more active role. I would also like to see more Alfred. James Gordon and Bullock were great for the former is the rookie while the latter is the veteran that is just trying to survive the corruption. Fish and Falcone are both strong characters and I can't wait to see more of them too. I do want to watch more even though Bruce may never actually don the Batman costume so I can't wait until next week's episode.

Thrift Store Finds: Batman Fun Case Plus Bonus Activity Books

The last item that I picked up last week at a local thrift store was A Batman Fun Case for three dollars. The box promised two jumbo coloring and activity books, one digest coloring and activity book with stickers, one activity book with stickers and a four-pack of crayons. Unfortunately, the jumbo coloring activity book with Batman and Robin on the cover was not included nor was the box of crayons. The copyright date is 2010 and was produced by Bendon International, Inc.

The digest coloring and activity book measures 5 1/4" by 8 1/4" and the front cover states that stickers are included. Unfortunately, all I had was a page of missing stickers. None of the pages were colored or marked.

The front cover of the Batman activity book with stickers features the Dark Knight and Robin:

The stickers are pretty colorful and features Batman, Robin, Mr. Freeze, the Joker, the Penguin, Two-Face, Man-Bat, Killer Croc and even logos (I was disappointed that there were no Catwoman stickers but then she is also absent from the coloring and activity books):

The only Batman jumbo coloring and activity book that was found inside the Batman Fun Case was the one featuring Batman and the Joker on the front cover:

The back cover features a match two card game that can be cut out (nice to see the Riddler but still no Catwoman):

Also included inside the Batman Fun Case was three jumbo coloring and activity books. Some of the pages has pencil and crayon markings but they are mostly on the puzzle pages. These were not originally part of the set and sold separately for a dollar each with a copyright date of 2012. They were available at the local Dollar General but the only one that I actually seen and picked up was the The Caped Crusader featuring the Penguin on the cover because I actually picked it up a few months ago but never got around posting about it here.

The first Batman jumbo coloring and activity book is Bad Guys Beware featuring Two-Face on the front cover:

Next is the Batman jumbo coloring and activity book titled The Cahse is On featuring Batman and the Joker on the front cover:

Whew, I think this has to be one of the longest posts that I have ever done here. That is why I didn't include any scans of the coloring, puzzle or maze pages.

GaF Double Vue Presents Batman In The Evil Penguin

The Batman cartoon that GaF picked to be included in one of their GaF Double Vue cartridges was The Evil Penguin, which was the butchered version of In Again Out Again Penguin from Filmation The Batman/Superman Hour 1968 cartoon series. Three police officers barge into a room before the Dynamic Dou leap over them.
Batman and Robin are then chased by the law enforcers. I wonder if this trio was Gotham's version of the Keystone Cops
The pair then jump into the Batmobile, which I think was just as cool as the live-action version.
Penguin finally appears only to make a speech while Batman stands with his hands on his hips looking manly.
The Caped Crusader twirls his bat-rope and seems to fall off the roof.
Commissioner Gordon poses for the camera only to have Batman steal the device. He must did not want his buddy to have his picture taken without him.
He then leaps in the Batmobile while Robin flings his rope.
The Boy Wonder snags the Penguin, who does not appear to be all that evil in this cartoon. I hope that he can hold him until Batman or the police arrives.
