Yes, Jon's Random Acts of Geekery is officially back today with a cool new magazine-style look. Articles include an amazing collection of Krypto items, a complete Golden Age tale from Mister Mystery #10, monster stuff featuring the Groovie Goolies, a Wheaties giveaway comic featuring Captain Marvel, a look at TV's The Land of the Giants, and an essay on the Fantastic Four. There's so much that I haven't read everything yet.

Changes to Moongem Comics

You may have noticed a few changes here at Moongem Comics. For starters, I have transferred the tag cloud from the right side to the bottom. Yes, there is a lot of tags now and it looks like they could fill a page on their own. I have also dropped the SuperHeroStuff banner and link on the right side. Seems like it just wasting space since it was barely getting any clicks let alone any sales over the past year. I'm thinking of doing away the weekly T-shirt Thursday posts but I haven't decided yet.

Hit It Rich Flash Gordon

Welcome to 2015 and I seriously thought about changing the template here at Moongem Comics today. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any style that I liked. Looks like I will stick to the classic look for the moment. Since today is the first day of the new year, I decided to play a new Hit It Rich game on Facebook. Since all the VIP games are unlocked today, I decided to play Flash Gordon. The minimum bet on this one is $1,400.

I doubt that I will be playing Hit It Rich Flash Gordon again due to the high minimum bet. I do like the artwork and the fact that the Flash Gordon in the bottom left corner is a little animated

Prelude to Countdown to Halloween 2014

As you can tell, I have changed the header and some of the font colors here at Moongem Comics in anticipation of Countdown to Halloween 2014 that will start October 1st and last until October 31st. There will be plenty of treats and perhaps a trick or two.

Happy 8th Blogiversary To Moongem Comics

Hard to believe that it has been eight years since I started Moongem Comics. I have made some wonderful friends and lost a few as well.

I went on a quest this morning after working at my boring offline job (maintenance at a local discount store) in search of a comic related birthday card. I was hoping to find one for an eight year old but all I could find was Disney Princesses and baseball cards. I did find some musical Batman and Superman birthday cards but they were rather pricey and I like getting inexpensive items as you can tell by my finds at the local thrift stores. I finally found a Justice League birthday card with a create your own comic book inside at the local Walmart's for only $3.97. I decided to have a little fun with it and post the results here.

The front features Superman, The Flash, Batman and Green Lantern as the Justice League (kind of bummed that Wonder Woman was not included):
