Women Wednesday: Mera on Titans: Beast World Tour: Atlantis #1 Cover

Mera is on the cover of Titans: Beast World Tour: Atlantis #1 that hits the newsstands this week from DC Comics. Aquaman appears is featured in the first story along with Mera and Garth aka Aqualad aka Tempest. To be honest, I'm not sure exactly what Garth is going by now. Jackson Hyde aka the new Aqualad, makes an appearance towards the end. There is also a second story featuring Vixen and Manta. The third story features Mera and Jackson Hyde aka Aqualad 2.

Aquaman Annual #2 (2014)

The first comic book in the Ollie's grab bag was a copy of Aquaman Annual #2 (2014). Arthur teams up with Wonder Woman to defeat some giant monsters. In the bonus story, Mera teams up with Wonder Woman to fight even more giant monsters. Yeah, this felt more like a Wonder Woman annual.

Amber Heard Cast as Mera

Cool movie news for Amber Heard to Star in ‘Justice League’ and ‘Aquaman’ as Mera:
Amber Heard cast as Mera in Aquaman and Justice League
As DC fans know, Mera is the Queen of Atlantis and Aquaman's wife. I wonder if anyone will dare to call her Aquawoman.

Tasty Tuesday: DC Comics Bombshells #16

Batwoman and Catwoman are featured on the cover on DC Comics Bombshells #16, which is odd because neither of them appear in this issue. It does feature Mera on the first page which is the same artwork found on #4.

The issue starts with her defeating a German u-boat with an alien crew with the help of two whales while she sings.

Mera is actually called Aquawoman by sailors on the HMS Winston. She gets friendly with three sailors, who all show her pictures of their sweethearts. Two "missiles" appear in the sky and she leaps into action only to find out that they are Supergirl and Stargirl. Aquawoman starts battling Supergirl for she has no clue as to who they are.

Stargirl speaks English and tells Mera their story briefly and asks her to hide them. She introduces them to the captain and promises the sisters that they don't have to run anymore.

The trio run into Nazis and Diana head butts a tank. General Samson Lane arrives in a tank and wants to get a message back to Commander Amanda Waller about finding a Bombshell. That's about it in a nutshell.

This alternate Bombshells cover to Justice League #43 features Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Mera. Check out their cool uniforms and specialized belt buckles:

Too bad the actual comic story inside this issue is chapter three of the Darkseid story. I haven't been following it and don't really care to do so.
