Wonder Woman '77 #1

Wonder Woman '77 #1 is a web only comic book from DC Comics and is based on the tv series staring Lynda Carter. Here is the cover:

The issue starts with the Amazon Princess fighting a bunch of Russian roller derby queens:

Check out Diana and Steve in their disco clothes:

The artwork is a little uneven at times especially with the likeness of Lyle Waggoner as Steve Trevor. I'm sure it will get better as the series progresses. The story was good and I like the twist at the end, which makes me want to read the second issue. If you're a fan of Wonder Woman, then this is a must.

Blog Alert: Flashback Universe

Flashback Universe is where the Golden Age meets the Digital Age. The current post discusses the reason that DC Comics new Doc Savage #1 failed mostly due to Howard Porter's artwork. You will also find downloadable Golden Age comics and original digital comics such as Saturn Knight, The Paladin, Fantom Force and League of Monsters. Flashback Universe is also home of Mister Crimson, a weekly web comic about a masked avenger thrust three hundred years into the future.

Fantasy Web Comic: Dark Magic And Donuts

Dark Magic and Donuts is a new black and white fantasy web comic written and illustrated by Don Higgins. The artwork and humor are both great. My favorite character so far is the dark sorceress, Vandalis, and you will know why once you see her.

Women Wrestling Wednesday Webcomic Alert: Rival Angels

Rival Angels follows Sabrina "Ultragirl" Mancini and her three roommates as they become worthy women wrestlers of the world. The story is more behind the scenes so you will get an insight on their personal journey outside the square ring. The web comic is drawn and written by Alan Evans aka albone. A new strip is added every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The artwork is clean and the characters are very interesting. I still have a lot of the web comic to catch up on but I enjoyed what I have read so far. So if you enjoy women wrestling, be sure to check out Rival Angels.

Zuda Comics

DC Comics has launched Zuda Comics that will feature web comics. Some of the titles include High Moon, Battlefield Babysitter, The Dead Seas, Leprenomicon and The Enders. The artwork is pretty cool but the site employs a Flash viewer that may cause problems for some.
