DC Funko Kinder Joy Shell and Insert

I went back to the local Walmart's this morning in hopes to find more DC Funko Kinder Joy eggs. Unfortunately, there is still an empty spot on the shelf where I found the earlier ones. The front of the shell has a little Joker image on it. One side of the inserts in all the ones I have gotten show Joker, Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Harley Quinn and Batgirl (I wish it was a checklist). I really wish I could download the app.

DC Super Friends Notebooks

My sister actually picked up three DC Super Friends Notebooks at the local Dillons a few weeks ago because they were on sale. The one featuring Batman and his rogue gallery was sixteen cents while the other two were twelve cents each. Now that is what I call one hell of a price reduction.

Batman Stickers From Dollar Tree

I picked up this pack of ninety-six Batman stickers from the local Dollar Tree a few weeks ago. There are four sheets with twenty-four stickers on each sheet but there are only eight different stickers. Batman has four different stickers while Man-Bat, Killer Croc, Joker and Two-Face each has one sticker. They should have called this set Batman and His Villains set. Maybe there will be one with the various Robins and Batgirls in the Bat Family Stickers packs in the future. Yes, the pack of stickers cost me $1.25 thanks to Dollar Tree raising their prices but it's still a cool addition to my sticker collection.

Flash Running Temporary Tattoo

This Flash running temporary tattoo was picked up at a China buffet restaurant on last month's road trip. The back doesn't tell what set it belongs to but it did state that it was number four of ten. Luckily, it also stated that it was distributed by A&A Global Industries. According to their website, the set is simply called DC Comics Character Tattoos. This will probably be the only one I get of the set since it might be a while before I get back to that restaurant.

Below is the entire DC Comics Character Tattoos set that features Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn and Joker. The DC Comics characters look like they are from a cartoon but I can't place it. The Batman, Haley Quinn and Joker look like the ones used for the Countdown to Valentine's Day 2021 Day 12: Batman Valentines With Tattoos.

Batman: The Killing Joke DVD

I saved watching Batman: The Killing Joke dvd for last because I know how controversial the graphic novel is (yes, I have read it). Not only does Batgirl (voiced by Tara Strong) basically get it on with Batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy) but she gets shot by the Joker (voiced by Mark Hamill). Commissioner Gordon (voiced by Ray Wise) is kidnapped by the Joker and is stripped naked in an amusement park with some circus freaks serving the Joker. This is one DC Universe animated movie that is definitely not for young kids and it is rated R. I picked up the dvd released in 2016 a few weeks ago with a bunch of others at the local Dollar Tree and I'm glad that I did. One of the special features is the look of Justice League Dark, which I hope to find one day.

Batman Unlimited: Mechs Vs Mutants DVD

Batman Unlimited: Mechs Vs Mutants is the 2015 sequel to Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts, which I have not seen. I found the dvd a few weeks ago at the local Dollar Tree. Batman is voice by Roger Craig Smith while the Joker is voiced by Troy Baker. Other superheroes that appear include Green Arrow, Nightwing, Red Robin and Cyborg while Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Clayface, Scarecrow, Silver Banshee and Solomon Grunddy are other supervillains that appear. This is more kid friendly than the last few animated movies based on characters from DC Comics that I have watched lately. The special feature is the Batman: The Brave & The Bold episode titled "Night of the Batmen".

Countdown to Valentine's Day 2021 Day 12: Batman Valentines With Tattoos

Guess where I picked up this box of Batman Valentines with Tattoos? If you guessed the local Dollar Tree, then you guessed correctly. Sorry, no prizes awarded this time around. There are eight awesome designs for a total of twenty-four Valentine's Day cards. Likewise, the sheet of twenty-four tattoos only have eight different designs. There is also a sheet of red heart stickers. Characters include Batman, Joker and Harley Quinn. The cartoony artwork is diffinately aimed at a younger audience. The Batman Valentines with Tattoos was made in China, imported by Greensrier International, Inc. and distributed by Paper Magic Group in Berwick, PA. There is no copyright date so this could pop back up on the shelves next year.

Batman Jumbo Coloring & Activity Book 2010 Covers With 2018 Interiors

I picked up a few new superhero coloring books at the local Dollar Tree earlier. Among them was this Batman Jumbo Coloring & Activity Book. The most odd thing about it is that the copyright on the front page and back cover is for 2010 but all the other interior pages show the copyright as 2018. I can only conclude that this was a rushed reprint error. The Robin that appears in this one is Tim Drake since there is a word search puzzle with his name plus the costume pretty much indicates that it is him. The villains that appear include the Joker, Penguin, Killer Croc, Man-Bat, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze and the Riddler. The activity pages include mazes, word searches, squares, puzzles, which is different,  crack the code, draw, make a match and unscramble words.

Countdown to Christmas 2020 Day 5: Joker Santa Funko Pop

Joker Santa Funko Pop is decked out in the familiar red with white trim cap and robe. He has been so naughty this year that he decided to hand out unusual presents like this bomb from his bag of tricks. This clown would make a great gift for those criminals on your list.

Women Wednesday: Punchline #1

First, here is the summery for Punchline #1 now on sale:

Spinning out of the pages of "The Joker War" comes the first solo book starring the blockbuster new character Punchline. As she faces the consequences for her role in "The Joker War," the story of how Alexis Kaye became Punchline will take Leslie Thompkins, Harper Row, and Cullen Row on a harrowing journey that reveals a fringe teenager's radicalization to the ideology of a madman.

Cover of Punchline #1 from DC Comics

I actually found myself enjoying the story and artwork more than I thought I would. My main reason for enjoying this issue had more to do with Harper Row aka Bluebird and her brother, Cullen, than that of Punchline herself. The artwork is surprisingly bright considering how dark the artwork usually is in the Batman books. I can actually read the white text on black background. Overall, I give this issue a B-.

Correction: Miniature Justice League Figurines

There are actually two miniature Justice League Figurines that Mattel put out and that I picked up at the local Dollar Tree. The 2018 line includes Aquaman, Batman, Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman. The 2019 line includes two different versions of Batman (the classic light blue and gray costume and the black costume with dark gray cape), Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman. The Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman figurines are the same from both years. The 2018 Justice League logo is red while the 2019 logo is blue. I didn't notice the different logos until I was hanging them up on my wall. I'm not sure if there is or will be a 2020 line of the miniature Justice League figurines for I couldn't find any information about them online.

Miniature Joker Figurine

I picked up this Miniature Joker Figurine earlier this week at the local Dollar Tree. He is part of the second Justice League miniatures that Mattel put out in 2019. He stands about 2-3/4" and is leaning on his gold walking stick. His costume is the classic purple suit.

Hot Wheels Batman 5-Pack 2015

The reason that I haven't posted the Hot Wheels Batman 5-pack from 2015 is because I had a hard time taking any good pictures of it. I finally decided to try scanning the front and back. I have never opened this but I've been tempted so I could take pictures of the individual vehicles. The Hot Wheels vehicles include Batcopter, Batmobile, Ford Fusion (Gotham City Police), Midnight Otto (Penguin) and So Fine (Joker).

Countdown to Christmas 2019 Day 19: DC Superheroes Ornament Set

Decorate your Christmas tree with this DC Superheroes Ornament Set. The eight unique shatterproof foam design features the Flash, Robin, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and the Joker. Yeah, I'm not sure how a supervillain sneaked into the set either so you'll have fun explaining this to anyone that asks.

Countdown to Halloween 2019 Day 10: Secrets of Sinister House 80-page Giant #1

This year's collection of horror stories from DC Comics is presented in Secrets of Sinister House 80-page Giant #1. The cover features a scared Joker with a blood-thirsty vampiric Batman from behind him. The original series started with #5 came out in 1972 (it was previously called The Sinister House of Secret Love, which debuted in 1971) and lasted for fourteen issues.
Secrets of Sinister House 80-page Giant #1 cover
The first story features Red Rain Batman in "Nightmare Mist." He faces Talon from the Court of Owls as he tries to kidnap the very young Barbara Gordon. This was a very interesting story and a vampiric Batman should never try to make a toothy smile at a little girl.

The Atom is featured in the second story titled "The Footsteps of the Old Worm". Ryan Choi aka the Atom is asked to investigate why earthworms are coming to the surface after plenty of rain. The woman who asked for his help thinks it has something to do with the demolition foreman attacking his crew with a buzz saw. The old house that they were hired to demolish have no earthworms for a mile radius. What he finds under the old house is beyond words and makes me not to want to go fishing with earthworms ever again. Harley Quinn and Zatanna are featured in the third story titled

"Calling Dr. Bonkers!". Zatanna picks up Harley in the Nevada desert while on her way to a Halloween blow-out in Las Vegas. They stop at the Clown Around Inn when it starts raining at night. The inn is owned by Ernie Arthur aka Dr. Bonkers, who was a clown on a kids' tv show. Of course, Harley is a big fan and even sings the theme song. She asks to see him and the old desk clerk tells her that he is buried in the graveyard behind the inn. He shows them to their room and Harley immediately falls asleep. Zatanna opens the closet and there are clowns of various colors and sizes. The desk clerk is not what he seems and you know who shows up. The ending is hilarious and I would love to see Harley Quinn and Zatanna team up more in the future. The fourth story is titled

"Out of My Skin" and features Martian Manhunter. He investigates a swamp where a string of animals and a human were found skinned. It was nice to see him in his Detective Jones disguise. He finds an alien shapeshifter that was skinning the animals and human. The ending is a little depressing but the story is still worth reading.

The fifth story is titled "Dreamweaver" and features Justice League Dark. Bobo the Detective Chimp is the main character as he searches for his lost teammates. He finds out that he's in his worst nightmare but he wakes up and finds himself in the Oblivion Bar. Seated around the table are Swamp Thing, Wonder Woman, Zatanna and Man-Bat bound with purple tentacles. The real culprit of the nightmares turns out to be someone rather unexpected. A great story that makes me wonder why Bobo doesn't have his own series yet.

The sixth story is titled "House of the Dead" and is a Secrets of Sinister House original. A married couple and their daughter move into the creepy Drake Mansion. The little girl plays with her new unseen friend while her mom finds the history of the house on the Internet including the murderous dark priest that built the place. Of course, you find out who the little girl's unseen friend is and he asks her if she has any matches. The ending surprised me because it features one of my favorite dead man.

"Fear 101" is the seventh story featuring the Green Lanterns. Jessica and Baz are having breakfast together when they receive an alert to rescue starship survivors. He disappears early on the ship leaving her on her own. Of course, Jessica's fears mount while she searches the ship. Interesting story but it felt a little too short for me.

Finally, John Constantine is featured in the eighth and last story titled "Hell is for Dreamers". He is haunted by a dead actress that wants him to find the man that killed her. Unfortunately, the killer is also dead so she swears to haunt Constantine until she has her revenge. What he does makes Secrets of Sinister House 80-page Giant #1 worth getting.

Countdown to Halloween 2017 Day 15: Green Goblin vs Joker Trading Card

This Green Goblin vs Joker trading card is #95 from the DC vs Marvel/Marvel vs DC set:
Green Goblin vs Joker trading card from DC vs Marvel/Marvel vs DC set
To be honest, I'm a little sick of seeing both of these super villains popping up anymore and I hate the skin mask version of the Joker.

DC Villains Pop-Tarts

Earlier today, I picked up a box of DC Villains Pop-Tarts at the local Walmarts. The flavor is chocolate sugar cookie so I'm not really in a rush to eat them. Lex Luthor, the Joker, Catwoman, Bane and Captain Cold adorn the box along with a few others in a line up on the back.

I wonder if DC Super Girls Pop-Tarts will be coming soon. If so, I hope they pick a good flavor for it.
