The last children's book that I picked up at the local Dollar Tree on Monday was DC Super Friends: Triple Threat. The story was written by Steve Korte with illustrations by Erik Doescher, Mike DeCarlo and David Tanguay. The cover features Batman, Robin, Flash and Cyborg. The Super Friends go up against Joker, Riddler and Penguin before Aquaman shows up at the end. The story and artwork are pretty fun but I'm a little miffed that Aquaman is not also on the cover.

DC Super Friends: Battle Below Children's Book
Streaky the Supercat, Supergirl, Superman and Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern is on the cover of DC Super Friends: Battle Below children's book. I found it on Monday at the local Dollar Tree and had to get it. The story was written by Steve Korte with illustrations by Erik Doescher, Mike DeCarlo and David Tanguay. The four DC Super Friends team up against Sinestro, Artocitus and his cat, Dex-Starr. Yes, that's one Green Lantern, one Yellow Lantern and two Red Lanterns. The story spotlights Streaky and the art is stylish for kids so overall it's a fun children's book.

Women Wednesday: I Am Wonder Woman Children's Book
I picked up this I Am Wonder Woman children's book on Monday at the local Dollar Tree. It was written by Erin K. Stein with illustrations by Rick Farley. The story basically retells her origin story. The artwork is pretty good for a children's book. Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman has lunch with Clark Kent aka Superman and Bruce Wayne aka Batman on one page.

I Am Batman Children's Book
I picked up this I Am Batman children's book yesterday at the local Dollar Tree. It was written by Delphine Finnegan with artwork by Andie Tong. The story is actually pretty good and fast paced. The artwork is more sophisticated than most books for children. Batman goes up against the Joker, Riddler and Catwoman.

Bloodshot: The Official Movie Novelization
I found the Official Movie Novelization of Bloodshot in paperback book form at the local Dollar Tree last week. Not a bad find for $1.25 even though I miss the one dollar prices. I have seen the 2020 movie on cable that is based on the Valiant Comics character.

Cho and Snape Kinder Joy Funko Pops
The local Walmart's got the Harry Potter Kinder Joy eggs made in Italy a few weeks ago. The previous ones I picked up were made in Vietnam. I finally managed to get the Cho and Snape Funko Pops. They still have about two trays of the Vietnam eggs but no more of the Italy ones. I still need Luna and Professor Trelawney.

More Harry Potter Kinder Joy Funko Pops
The local Walmart's restocked the Harry Potter Kinder Joy Funko Pops earlier this week. I picked up a few more and managed to get a few new ones. I now have Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Dumbledore. I'm still on the hunt for Snape, Luna, Cho and Professor Trelawney.
Here are the inserts for the trio:

Harry Potter Kinder Joy Funko Pops
I think the Harry Potter Kinder Joy Funko Pops were supposed to be out last year in time for Christmas. However, I didn't find them until the first week of January. From my research, there is supposed to be twenty-four mini figures in this set. I only have five different ones plus three doubles. I have two of Hagrid, two of Hermione, one of Draco Malfoy, one of McGonagall and two of Mad Eye Moody.
The backs of all the inserts only show seven mini figures, which are Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Professor McGonagall, Hagrid, Dumbledore and Snape.
I was finding them near the checkout lanes at the local Walmart's and Dillons. However, I only found a few left at Walmart's and none at Dillons last weekend.

Countdown to Christmas 2023 Day 9: A Home For KAKEman Book
If you grew up in Kansas in the 1970s and 1980s, then you may have fond memories of KAKEman. He was the toy assistant to Santa Claus (Henry Harvey) on Santa's Workshop, which appeared on KAKE (Channel 10) every weekday afternoon in December. He became Toyboy when the tv show switched to KWCH (Channel 12). Now he's back in a children's book by Cassidy Sutton titled A Home For KAKEman. All proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Wichita to help families of children with critical conditions to receive the support they need.

Harry Potter PEZ
This is the Harry Potter PEZ dispenser that I picked up with the Hermione Granger PEZ dispenser. Like her, he is also from 2020 and is based on the book version. He also comes with raspberry, cherry and lemon flavored PEZ candy.
Here is a picture that I found online to show what he looks like out of the package:

Women Wednesday: Hermione Granger PEZ
I picked up a Hermione Granger PEZ dispenser at the local Walmart's last week. This is the book version and not the movie version, which I do not have. The store had several of her and Harry Potter but no Ron Weasley. The trio came out last year but I found them in the Christmas candy aisle this year. She comes with raspberry, cherry and lemon flavored PEZ candy. This is the first picture that I took with my new tablet that I also got last week (it's still not as good as my digital camera but that may be due to the lightning).
The following found image is what the Hermione Granger PEZ dispenser would look like out of the packaging:

Countdown to Halloween 2014 Day 28: Ultimate Spider-Man vs Dracula Book and Stickers
As you can tell by the cover, this Dracula has white hair and is not the version from Tomb of Dracula:
Page three starts the story plus features a picture of Spider-Man and Nova (other characters that make appearances include Blade, White Tiger, Power Man and Iron Fist):
The Howling Commandos are supernatural agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and steal the show when they are called upon by Spidey (they include Werewolf By Night, The Living Mummy and The Monster of Frankenstein):
Man-Thing also makes an appearance:
Here's the back cover of the Ultimate Spider-Man vs Dracula book:
The book also comes with two pages of stickers. The first page is found in the front of the book. There are stickers of Spider-Man, Dracula, Man-Thing, The Living Mummy, The Monster of Frankenstein, bats and even spider-pumpkins:
The second page of stickers include Spider-Man, Dracula, the Howling Commandos, Man-Thing, Werewolf By Night, The Living Mummy, The Monster of Frankenstein, more bats and even more spider-pumpkins:
This is a fun little book to read and is appropriate for younger readers. Now I just have to watch the cartoon episode that it is based upon.

Thrift Store Find: After the Golden Age by Carrie Vaughn
And here is the back cover:
I actually read the first page after I got it but I have to wait to read any more because I am currently reading Circle of Desire by Keri Arthur.

Countdown to Halloween 2013 Day 13: Thrift Store Finds: Frankie McDonald In Haunted America
From the back of the book:
"Flying Dutchmen, poltergeists, vengeful wraiths, child ghosts, phantom trains, houses of evil, headless horsemen...
Haunted America takes you on a grand tour of ghostly hauntings through the U.S. and Canada, sweeping from terrifying battlefield specters at Little Bighorn to a vaudeville palace in Tampa, from ghostly apparitions in President Garfield's home in Ohio to the White House in Washington, D.C."
The second item was Ronald McDonald wearing a Frankenstein monster costume. The costume itself is in two parts with a hole for his eyes. This was part of the Halloween Happy Meal toy set from 1995 that also featured Grimace as a ghost, Hamburglar as Dracula and Birdie as a pumpkin. Unfortunately, I didn't find those three figures.
I think Ronald McDonald is scarier without the Frankenstein costume:
I really love the Frankenstein costume even if he does have a goofy grin: What makes the costume is the details like the spider, hole and patch on the back:
Not a bad Halloween toy find for fifty cents.
