Marvel T-Shirts

I found three Marvel t-shirts by Fruit of the Loom this morning at the local Dollar General store for six dollars each. The first was a red Captain America t-shirt in which he appeared to be so fighting mad that his face turned red to match his gloves and boots:

Next, I found a gray t-shirt featuring the Invincible Iron Man in his red and gold armor:

Finally, I found a black Marvel t-shirt featuring Thor, Iron Man, Captain America (with normal flesh-colored face), Spider-Man and the Hulk:

Here is a close up shot of the Marvel group:

Lois Lane Warrior Woman

I love the costume that Lois Lane (Erica Durance) will be wearing at a comic book convention on the January 29 episode of Smallville titled "Warrior":

Women Wednesday: Tattooed Star Sapphire

Yeah, Star Sapphire may be a villainess but she is a hot one without a doubt and I dig her tattoos (image courtesy of Veidt):

Women Wrestling Wednesday: Jem Vs. Valerie Brown

Two cartoon rockers battle it out as Jem, the pink-haired leader of the Holograms, duke it out with the black Pussycat, Valerie Brown:

Batman And Green Arrow In Full Frontal Nerdity Strip

Here's a great strip from Full Frontal Nerdity by Aaron Williams featuring Batman and Green Arrow (click for larger image):

Be sure to bookmark the web comic for it is one of my favorites.

Thanks

Thanks to all the friends and visitors to Moongem Comics. I noticed that there are some now twenty-one followers and I would like to thank them too. The counter has shown that this blog has passed the eighteen thousand mark. According to the stats, Alison Angel is still how most visitors are finding this blog but it seems that Joker and Harley kiss is the most recent phase used. I do have to question the person that is looking for more of Michael Shanks armpit.

I hope everyone has a happy and safe New Year's Eve.

Airheads Hulk Tattoo

My sister gave me a Hulk tattoo that was found in a package of Airheads (no, she did not give me the candy wrapper). From my research, this was one of four tattoos available to promote the Incredible Hulk movie in 2008.

Christmas Swag 2009

I received several cool items for Christmas this year. Two treasures were clothing items featuring DC Comics characters. The shirt features Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Green Arrow, Red Tornado (outline only) and Steel (outline only):

A black with blue and white beanie cap came with the shirt but is not included in the picture. DC Comics Originals written inside a circle can be found on it.

The men's sleep pant features Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Flash:

Both items are currently available at Wal-Mart's.

Other Christmas swag that I received this year includes:
Watchmen widescreen edition DVD
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince widescreen edition DVD
Four Hot Wheels mystery cars (one 2009 and three 2010)
Sneakers
Jeans with free white t-shirt
Twelve pairs of socks
Four boxer briefs (now you know what I wear)

Comic Books That Amazon Recommended This Christmas

I received an email from Amazon this morning with the following pictures that recommended a few of the Showcase Presents and Marvel Essentials collections:

For those that want to pick any of these comic books up (and help me out a little in the process), here are the links:
Showcase Presents: DC Comics Presents Superman Team-Ups Vol. 1
Showcase Presents: House of Secrets Vol. 2
The Savage Sword Of Conan Volume 6
Showcase Presents: Bat Lash
Showcase Presents: The Flash Vol. 3
Showcase Presents: Batman Vol. 4
Essential Sub-Mariner, Vol. 1 (Marvel Essentials) (v. 1)
Showcase Presents: Green Lantern, Vol. 4
I actually have several of the DC Comics Presents issues in my collection and I love the cover to the Showcase Presents edition.

Superman Christmas Stockings

Here are five different Christmas stockings featuring the Man of Steel that I found at various places:

Batman Christmas Stockings

While I am not doing a month long Christmas Countdown, there are five days until the big day. Here are five various Batman Christmas stockings that I found online at various places:

Thrift Store Find: The Avenger #6

I actually found about fifty-six various Star Trek paperbacks and twenty Slocum westerns for a dollar each. I did not pick any of them up because I would want them all and did not have enough cash on me. At another thrift store, I found The Avenger #6: The Blood Ring by Kenneth Robeson (Warner, November 1972) for seventy-five cents. You can be sure that I grabbed that as soon as I saw it and it is in pretty good condition.

The following is the cover of The Avenger #6: The Blood Ring by Kenneth Robeson that I found on Google since I am just too lazy today to scan my book or snap a photo:

Superhero City: Crimson Shadow Vs Dragonwitch

Superhero City is an online game available at Facebook with two cool features: each player can design their own costume and each battle is animated. I created Crimson Shadow and I fought Dragonwitch earlier:

Thursday Warm Up With Diana And Lady Action

Today is another frigid day here so I needed something to get my blood warmed up this morning. Here is the alternate cover to Phantom Captain Action #2 featuring Diana and Lady Action that will be coming out in April from Moonstone:

You can read more about this issue and other Moonstone books coming in April here.
