Fantastic Friday: Fantastic Four #1 (2025)

Yep, Marvel released a new Fantastic Four #1 earlier this week. Susan Storm aka the Invisible Woman stands in the center of the cover with Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch, Reed Richards aka Mister Fantastic and Ben Grimm aka the Thing around her. Doctor Doom...er, Emperor Doom appears at the beginning of the issue.

Here's the summery: "The Fantastic Four return with a new issue #1, kicking off a whole new volume of their adventures through time, space, science, and the human condition! When the Fantastic Four take on Doom, things go well until they suddenly go catastrophically wrong — and they’re sent to four different eras in Earth’s history! Alone and isolated in wildly different time periods, Reed, Johnny, Ben, and Sue all have to fight to survive. Their only hope is to reach the Forever Stone: a mass of dense granite that happens to be one of the longest-lasting rocks on the planet, which — through a combination of obscurity and raw geological luck — has stayed both intact and accessible for most of Earth’s history!"

As the young hero knows, messing with time has its consequences, but that doesn't mean she learned her lesson the first time. Things are about to get ruff and the Super Sons have gone to the dogs. Prepare for a Crisis of Infinite Corgis!"

Will the boy and girl wonders be able to put their differences aside and find the pup before it’s too late?"

When a fledgling dictator named Victor Von Doom conquers Latveria, Steve faces a critical decision: adapt to a new kind of warfare, or forge his own path? Fantastic Friday: Fantastic Four People Ads

First off, I would like to wish everyone a safe and fantastic Fourth of July.

People magazine, cover dated July 14, 2025, has several ads for the Fantastic Four: First Steps movie. Ben Grimm, Reed Richards, Susan Storm, Johnny Storm and H.E.R.B.I.E appear on a fake cover:

There is a great ad for H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot:

My favorite is the ad for the FantasiCar (I really hope Hot Wheels make one):

Hot Wheels Batman 5-Pack 2023

I found this Hot Wheels Batman 5-Pack at the local Walmart's last week but didn't pick it up until this Tuesday. There's a Batmobile, one police car, two villain vehicles and a Batcopter. My camera decided to act up so I didn't get a picture of the box's back, but I did manage get one of the front:

The first three diecast cars include Arkham Asylum Batmobile, Gotham City Boom Box and Harley Quinn Hi-Roller:

The last two vehicles include the Joker Power Pistons (the engine cover and top are transparent green and look really cool) and the all blue Batcopter:

Women Wednesday: Gotham City Sirens: Unfit for Orbit #1

DC Comics released Gotham City Sirens: Unfit for Orbit #1 today and here's the summery: "There’s a hot new outer space-themed nightclub in Gotham City, and who better to rob it than Catwoman, Ivy, and Harley? But there’s more to this intergalactic discotheque than meets the eye(s), as the Sirens discover when they stumble headfirst into a plot to destroy the entire planet led by the club’s owner — the alien despot Despero! I hope you have good insurance, Gotham City, because you’re about to get wrecked. Special appearances by deadly DJs, hunky alien hotties, dancers dressed as aliens, mutant failures, one wild UFO, and lots and lots of fire!"
