Flash And Wonder Woman At Dragon Con 2009

The costumes on the following Flash and Wonder Woman that appeared at Dragon Con 2009 are pretty good:

This Week's Top Five Search Terms

I broke down and added a counter last weekend and I was surprised that it hit 764 so quickly. I think the reason is due to the following top five search terms that are bringing people to Moongem Comics:

Num Perc. Search Term
26 29.55% alison angel universal studios
8 9.09% alison angel
6 6.82% alison angel blog
3 3.41% starfire vs wonder woman
2 2.27% scarlet witch models

Sorry to all the Alison Angel's fans that wants to see nude pictures of her. Instead, here is a picture of her in a cute bunny costume:

Lobo Hits The Big Screen

Variety reported that Guy Ritchie will be directing a live action adaptation of DC Comics' Lobo. The alien bounty hunter made his first appearance in Omega Men #3 (June 1983).

Women Wednesday: Chloe Moretz As Hit Girl

Okay, so Chloe Moretz is only twelve but she is going to be a big hit with the fanboys as Hit Girl in the movie adaptation of Kick-Ass that is set to be released on April 16, 2010:

House of Mouse Buys House of Ideas

Disney buys Marvel for $4 billion may be old news to some of you but I just found out about it since I have been working out of the house today. This is pretty weird news considering that some of Marvel's characters are not exactly family-oriented (I'm looking at you, Punisher).

More Marvel Heroes Stickers Series 2

I managed to find more quarters to feed the vending machine today so I could gain three more Marvel Heroes Stickers Series 2. This time I received #7 Thor, #8 The Punisher and #9 Gambit.

Thrift Store Finds: Fantastic Four Universal Guide

For fifty cents, I found a copy of Fantastic Four: The Universal Guide by Tom DeFalco (Marvel Publishing, Inc 2007) this morning at a local thrift store. This five by eight book has articles such as "Fantastic Four Orgins", "Headquarters & Hardware" and "Jack Kirby's Galactus Trilogy". There are also interesting write ups on each of the members plus their friends and foes (yes, even H.E.R.B.I.E. is mentioned). While the front cover has been damaged, the eight stickers the size of trading cards are still intact inside. I am also not fond of the thrift store's new price tag method since it involves using tape (thankfully, they put the price tag on the back cover). Overall, this is a pretty fair thrift store find.

Four Marvel Heroes Stickers Series 2

One of the local discount store has a new vending machine that spits out Marvel Heroes Stickers Series 2 for fifty cents each. I could not resist getting a few and I got the following stickers: #3 Wolverine, #4 Invisible Woman, #5 Captain America and #6 Iron Man. There are twelve stickers in the set and I hope to get more when I get more quarters.
