Women Wednesday: The New All Female Ghostbusters

Sony is remaking Ghostbusters with four females as the main characters. The cast includes Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon.

Official Fantastic Four Teaser Trailer

Yeah, this is the one with the black Johnny Storm. No, I don't have a problem with that. What I have a problem is that nothing really excites me about wanting to watch the movie after viewing the official Fantastic Four teaser trailer: Hopefully, the full trailer will be more exciting.

David Tennant Cast As Purple Man On AKA Jessica Jones

Former Doctor Who David Tennant has been cast as the villainous Purple Man on AKA Jessica Jones according to this Comics Alliance article.

Batman Duct Tape

I finally broke down and bought the Batman Duct Tape by Scotch today at the local Alco's store that is going out of business. The original closing date was January 31st but now it will be March 8th. I have been coping with working nights for the past two weeks at the local big W store as floor maintenance, which sucks by the way. That's one of the reasons that I haven't post much here lately. Anyway the original price of the Batman Duct Tape was $4.88 but I got a discount of $1.95 taken off.

I thought about using it on the edge of my computer desk since it is wearing out.

Belated Women Wednesday: Melissa Benoist Cast as Supergirl

Yeah, I didn't make a post for this week's Women Wednesday so here is one a day late. According to Comics Alliance's CBS 'Supergirl' Casts Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El for their upcoming tv series. She's best known for her role as Marley Rose on Glee.

So I'm wondering how many special episodes will have Supergirl singing.

Blog Alert: Jon's Random Acts of Geekery Says Goodbye

Jon's Random Acts of Geekery was one of the first geek blogs that I found online and inspired me to create one of my one. Now with other duties, he is saying goodbye to regular posts with hopes of returning to blogging in the future. He will not be deleting the posts and the blog will be up for as long as Blogger lets it be. Be sure to check out out Jon's Random Acts of Geekery.

Women Wednesday: Aqua-Mom

What can I write that DC Wants You to Know That Yes, That's AQUA-MOM, and Check Out the Earth 32 JUSTICE LEAGUE didn't?

Oh, I know...Aqua-Mom looks like a bad ass.

Teaser Trailer For Ant-Man

Wonder Woman '77 #1

Wonder Woman '77 #1 is a web only comic book from DC Comics and is based on the tv series staring Lynda Carter. Here is the cover:

The issue starts with the Amazon Princess fighting a bunch of Russian roller derby queens:

Wonder Woman doing her twirl to change back into Diana Prince:

Check out Diana and Steve in their disco clothes:

The artwork is a little uneven at times especially with the likeness of Lyle Waggoner as Steve Trevor. I'm sure it will get better as the series progresses. The story was good and I like the twist at the end, which makes me want to read the second issue. If you're a fan of Wonder Woman, then this is a must.

The King's 80th Natal Anniversary

Elvis Presley was born eighty years ago today. I'm still a big fan thanks to my mom who gave me her collection of 45 and 33 vinyl records when I was about twelve or so. Most of the records were original Elvis Presley recordings and I still have them packed away:

Goodbye KAKE, ABC and MeTV Kansas

Cox Communications dropped KAKE, our local ABC affiliate and MeTV Kansas. I'm glad that I got to watch the first hour of Agent Carter last night (I had to turn it over to catch Little Women: L.A.). I thought it was okay but not great. Unfortunately, without KAKE, I will be missing out on my favorite ABC shows like Once Upon A Time, Last Man Standing and The Goldbergs. There will be no more Wonder Woman reruns without MeTV Kansas and that makes me really sad.

Agent Carter Premieres Tonight

Don't forget that Agent Carter premieres tonight on ABC:
