Zorro: Man of the Dead #1 Cover

Out this week from Massive Publishing is Zorro: Man of the Dead #1. This is a modern update on the classic character and it works. The art and story are both amazing. I'm already looking to reading the next issue. I highly recommend picking this up.

Women Wednesday: Spider-Gwen: Smash #1 and #2 Covers

I missed out on Spider-Gwen: Smash #1 last month, which is a shame for it's actually pretty good. On Earth-65, teenage Gwen Stacy is the drummer for the all-girl band known as The Mary Janes when she's not in costume as Ghost-Spider. They have been asked to go on tour with Dazzler and the Uncut Gems (yes, they do appear in this issue). Rick Jones is the guitarist for Dazzler's band and he hulks out.

Mera is on the cover of Titans: Beast World Tour: Atlantis #1 that hits the newsstands this week from DC Comics. Aquaman appears is featured in the first story along with Mera and Garth aka Aqualad aka Tempest. To be honest, I'm not sure exactly what Garth is going by now. Jackson Hyde aka the new Aqualad, makes an appearance towards the end. There is also a second story featuring Vixen and Manta. The third story features Mera and Jackson Hyde aka Aqualad 2.

Walt Disney With Magazine Pop

This is the last post for 2023 so I thought I would end it with something special. I spent 500 reward points at Disney Movie Rewards a few weeks ago to get the limited edition Walt Disney With Magazine Pop. He's #78 in the Dieney 100 Pop!Icons series. His suit is actually a lighter gray than the pictures show since I used my tablet to take the pictures.

Black Canary, Batgirl, Nightwing, Green Arrow, Blue Beetle and Miss Martian help Batman and Santa Claus battle a possessed Superman and banished monsters. Meanwhile, Krampus has Robin locked in a cage in a place called the Gnome Hall. Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Jo Mullein and Hawkgirl arrive to help Batman and the gang.
