Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 25: Mergest Kingdom's Halloween Adventure

Mergest Kingdom started their annual Halloween Adventure on Monday, October 24th. I have played it a few times on Facebook but I don't think I'm going to be able to finish it in nine days. I have yet to finish any of the special events at Mergest Kingdom. Frankenstein's Monster is the first helper that you can get in order to collect lanterns (yes, they spelled it wrong):

You can even get Count Dracula to help out:

Other helpers include a witch (I have gotten her), a spooky skelton and a spooky scarecrow. There are also ghosts that will drop items when you click on them.

Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 24: Fear the Funhouse #1

Pre-teen Archie and his fellow Adventure Scouts are telling scary stories while camping in Fear the Funhouse #1 from Archie Horror. The first story is "Suburban Legend" while the second story is "Snack Attack". The final and best story is "Whatever Happened To Dilton?".

There are two different covers with Archie, Jughead, Reggie, Betty and Veronica being on both covers (they look older on Cover B):

I like the fact that Archie Horror treats the back cover as if it was just as important as the front cover:

Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 23: Crypt of Shadows #1 Cover

Marvel has resurrected the Crypt of Shadows for the third time with a new #1 this Halloweeen season. The first attempt was a series that started in 1973 and lasted for twenty-one issues. The second attempt was the one-shot issue in 2018 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Marvel Comics. This year's Crypt of Shadows #1 cover features Wolverine (formerly X23), Moon Knight, Elsa Bloodstone, Bloodline, Victoria Montesi, Man-Thing and two werewolves (one being Jake Gomez aka Werewolf by Night).

Victor Strange is this year's host of horror stories. He is the vampire brother of Dr. Stephen Strange and was Baron Blood II. He is now trapped in a mirror.

The first horror story within Crypt of Shadows #1 is an untitled ghost story featuring Blade's daughter, Bloodline. Next is "Werewolf by Moon Knight" featuring Jake Gomez aka Werewolf by Night and Moon Knight encountering another werewolf. Morbius the living vampire and Victoria Montesi, a Darkholder, appears in "Skin Crawl". "Down Came The Rain" features Elsa Bloodstone teaming up with Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch to revert Peter Parker back to normal after becoming the Man-Spider. Finally, Wolverine (formerly known as X23) battles Man-Thing for a very long time in "Endless Slaughter in the Infinite Swamp".

Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 22: Vampirella Strikes #6 Cover Gallery

Dynamite Entertainment released Vampirella Strikes #6 this week. Cover D is my favorite with the sexy vampire trick 'n' treating with two kids.

Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 20: DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #3 Cover

DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #3 hits the newsstands this week and the cover features a zombified Supergirl battling Superman:

Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 18: Mary Marvel from DC vs Vampires: All-Out War #4

DC vs Vampires: All-Out War #4 hits the newsstands this week and the cover features Mary Marvel so it seems only fitting that she is focus of this week's Women Wednesday post.

DC vs Vampires: All-Out War #4 Cover featuring Mary Marvel

Mary Marvel vs Shining Knight makes for a really cool full-page pinup even with the weird coloring of just black, white, gray and red. He's a vampire so this also makes a cool post for this year's Countdown to Halloween.

There's even a cool back up story with Black Lightning that is in black, white, gray and blue.

Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 18: Sparky's Halloween Fire Safety Tips

Sparky the Fire Dog has put together some fire safety tips for this Halloween:

Did you know that Sparky the Fire Dog originated in 1951? You can find out more about him and enjoy kid-friendly activities at his official website at Sparky.org.

Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 17: Halloween Ends

I watched Halloween Ends starring Jamie Lee Curtis early Sunday evening and I enjoyed it overall. I was glad that I got to watch it streaming of Peacock. There was a nice little twist that I won't spoil here.

Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 16: Velma Dinkley Cosplay By Xomayamae

I can't believe that we are already at the halfway mark for this year's Countdown to Halloween. Hope you are enjoying the posts so far. Here's a picture of Xomayame cosplaying as Velma Dinkley. I wonder what the rest of the Scooby Doo gang is doing?

Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 15: Halloween Party Cover

Scotch McTiernan's Halloween Party is a one-shot special from Image Comics that was released earlier this week. Killer clowns, vampires, demons, aliens and other creatures gather at the annual Monster Mirthapalooza in Ridgeway City, New Jersey. Scotch McTiernan, monster hunter, shows up to the horror of the monsters. Past stories are told including a spoof on E.T. the Extra Terrestrial. Things then take a turn for the worse for all the party goers. If you want some humor with your monsters, then I highly recommend picking up a copy.

Countdown to Halloween 2022 Day 14: Chilling Adventures of Salem One-Shot

Chilling Adventures of Salem #1 is a one-shot special from Archie Horror. There are two covers with Cover A by Dan Schoening and Matt Herms while Cover B by Francesco Francavilla. The story is appropriate for Halloween and I think Salem should get his own series since I love talking black cats.
