Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 20: Geist Ryder At Superhero City

Here is the Ghost Rider...er, Geist Ryder banner and card now available at Superhero City:

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 19: Queen of Halloween At Superhero City

This week's Women Wednesday is devoted to the Queen of Halloween at Superhero City:

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 18: Dark Cards At Superhero City

The Blade of the Barber, Edwin Scissor Fingers and BugJuice are the new Special Edition Dark Cards at Superhero City:

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 17: Halloween Missions At Superhero City

Superhero City now has Halloween missions and here is the banner:

This is the Early Bird mission:

The Candy From Mummy mission is located in New Delhi, India:

Other missions include Candy Contest in Manhattan, Screaming Sweetly in Athens, Get The Drop On Hollow King in Las Vegas, Spooky Spearmints in Tokyo and Get The Drop On Hollow King in Nexus. I finished all but the last one.

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 16: Kansas Thrills, Chills & Bills Lottery Tickets

This year's Halloween-themed lottery tickets from Kansas Lottery are titled Thrills, Chills & Bills and features six jack-o-lanterns. Needless to say that I did not win anything again this year.

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 15: Count Duckula At FarmVille

Count Duckula recently popped up at FarmVille offering a chance to put on a frightening feast.

I have my Count Duckula Castle placed and harvested seventy-five pumpkins but the hard part is getting eight banquet invitations from neighbors.

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 13: Halloween Costumes At Superhero City

Superhero City has witch and warlock Halloween costumes that are mostly robes. I do like the accessories such as head gear and weapons.

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 12: Elvira In Monster Land #7

The cover of Monster Land #7 (February 1986) featured Elvira:

She was on a two-page spread that also served as the inside cover and first page:

"The Woman Behind Elvira" was the five page article featured in the horror magazine:

Page two of the article is a pretty cool pin up featuring Elvira surrounded by Universal Monsters:

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 11: Halloween Massacre At Superhero City

Superhero City has released a special edition Halloween Massacre card featuring a possessed hockey mask killer for only eighty merit points (of course, I do not have enough to get one):

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 10: Vincent Price In Monster Land #2

Here are pages forty-three, forty-four and forty-five from Monster Land #2 (April 1985) featuring an article about Vincent Price's last cameo role in Bloodbath at the House of Death:

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 9: Rat Traps Gummi Candy

My sister bought a bag of Rat Traps a few weeks ago. The gummi rats are supposed to be gray with pink tail and taste like strawberry. The rat came out looking green due to bad lighting and it does not really have a taste to me. The bag has twenty-five Rat Traps.

I do like the detail of the semi-soft gummi rat that is about an inch long:

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 8: Unleash Your Dark Side At The Sims Social

You can now unleash your dark side at The Sims Social, an online game on Facebook since it is Werewolves vs Vampires Week:

Players can purchase new Halloween costumes that are rather mundane like the werewolf's beard, which makes you look more like Wolverine (sadly, there are no vamp or wolf teeth but there is a canine nose):

Vampire lovers can purchase the double coffin bed for those bizarre sleep overs:

New spooky items to decorate your house with since every haunted house needs a broken mirror and a spooky portrait:

I like this painting of Vlad the Impaler...er, Impressionist but you have to earn it by completing all seven "What Big Teeth You Have" tasks:

You will also find ghosts outside of the house that you can snap pictures of (I actually found two):

While I am not a big fan of The Sims Social (I would rather play SimCity), the ghost hunting makes it a little more interesting to play. Beware that the game has been having connection problems lately so it may not load for you.
