Women Wednesday: The Marvels Happy Meal Box

I did manage to get a couple of undamaged Happy Meal boxes promoting The Marvels movie. On the left side, there are images of the Nick Fury, Captain Marvel, Marvel's Goose and Princess Carol action figures at the top. The majority of the side is devoted to showing how you can put the action figures on your phone or tablet for more fun.

The front of the box features Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Photon and Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. A brief description of their powers is also listed for each of the superheroines. The right side of the Happy Meal box features images of Kree-Supremor Dar-Benn, Ms. Marvel, Photon, Captain Marvel and Prince Yan on the top. The majority of that side is taken up by the scan code to power up your toy at the Happy Meal website.

Women Wednesday: Ms. Marvel vs Dar-Benn from The Marvels

I don't always keep track of what's new with the Happy Meal toys so I was surprised a few weeks ago when I ordered one and found out that it was based on The Marvels movie. I got Kamala Kahn aka Ms. Marvel, which is number five of eight. You push the button in the back of her head and her right arm moves side to side. You can also rotate her left arm all the way round. Iman Vellani reprises her role as Ms. Marvel in the movie, which is cool because I really enjoyed her in the tv series. I picked up another Happy Meal the following week and got number eight, which is Kree Supremor Dar-Benn. You can rotate a wheel on her back to move her right arm and weapon all the way round. Her left arm rotates too but her hair stops it from going all the way. Dar-Benn is played by Zawe Ashton in the movie.

Hot Wheels The Batman Five Pack

I picked up the Hot Wheels The Batman Five Pack last week at the local Walmart's. I would have posted pictures sooner but I'm having problems with my Olympus digital camera again. The Bruce Wayne car is a '64 Corvette Sting Ray, the Batmobile is from the recent The Batman movie, the Riddler car is Burl-Esgue, the Penguin car is a classic Nomad, and the Catwoman car is the Gov'ner. The images on the Riddler, Penguin and Catwoman cars features the characters from Batman: The Animated Series. That is good because I wouldn't want images of the Riddler and the Penguin from the movie on them. However, I wouldn't mind having the Catwoman from the movie on her car. I wish there was a way to open the box without destroying it so I could take the cars out of the box and take better pictures. I would have to say that the Riddler car is my favorite from this set.

This week's post for Women Wednesday is the cover of Knight Terrors: Wonder Woman #1. She is joined by Bobo the Detective Chimp, John Constantine and Dr. Fate (the Khalid Nassour version). The story continues from Knight Terrors: First Blood #1 so you should read that issue first. Hot Wheels Premium Batman the Movie Batmobile

I picked up this Hot Wheels Premium Batman the Movie Batmobile at the local Walmart's last week. The price tag was $4.97 but the actual price was $6.97, which makes this the most expensive Batmobile that I have brought. It's heavier since it's all metal and it was the only one on the peg.

Hot Wheels 2023 Batmobile With Orange Windows

I found this Hot Wheels 2023 Batmobile with orange windows and stripes at the local Walmart's last week. It is #3 of the Batman mini set and #103 of the main set. The basic body color is black and the copyright year on the back of the card is 2021, which is why I didn't know it was a 2023 model. This is the first of two variations with the other one being all white. It is based on the Batmobile from the 1989 Batman movie.

T-shirt Thursday: White Marvel Characters T-shirt

I picked up this white Marvel Characters t-shirt at the local Walmart's last week for almost nine dollars. The artwork is not the best but it does have that hand-drawn feel. The Marvel characters include Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hawkeye, Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Moon Knight (yeah, he's a little hard to see at first), Black Widow, Black Panther (I think it's him), She-Hulk, Daredevil, Silver Surfer, Thor, Doctor Strange, Human Torch, Wasp, Ant-Man, Thing, Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Cyclops (another one that's hard to make out) and Iron Fist. The pictures shows it draped over my office chair so you can only see the bottom of the Marvel logo.

Women Wednesday: Knight Terrors: Ravager #1

Knight Terrors: Ravager #1 is out and features Deathstroke's daughter, Ravager, stuck in the nightmare realm. She meets a version of herself with a different past that is being hunted by two monsters and a twisted version of her father. However, she quickly learns that not all is as it seems.

Knight Terrors will be a two month horror event starting in July from DC Comics. As you can tell in the ad below, the main focus will be Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. However, also expect some horror characters such as Deadman, Sandman (the Wesley Dodd version) and Zatanna. Of course, Harley Quinn has to pop up since she's in most everything lately/ To be honest, I would rather see this in October.

Hot Wheels Character Cars: Batman and Catwoman

I finally broke down and bought the first Batman and Catwoman cars from the Hot Wheels Character Cars at the local Dollar General yesterday. They are based on last year's The Batman movie, so you know how long they have been on the peg. The price of $5.50 prevented me from buying the sooner. They also had the Riddler and the Flash cars but no Superman and Wonder Woman cars. I'm never going to get the Riddler one because I don't like the character design, but I might go back someday to get the Flash car.

Two T-shirt Thursday Posts Flagged

Someone has flagged two of my old t-shirt Thursday posts for spam today so Blogger has unpublished them. The posts are "T-shirt Thursday: Iron Man The Billionaire T-shirt" and "T-shirt Thursday: Batman Dark Knight Pirate T-shirt". The latter has been re-evaluated and republished. Looks like I'm going to have to go through all my old posts here at Moongem Comics and start deleting anything with a link to SuperHeroStuff and Amazon. Hot Wheels the Dark Knight Batmobile 2021 Bat Card

Not only I find the Hot Wheels TV Series Batmobile 2021 Bat Card last week but I also found this Hot Wheels the Dark Knight Batmobile 2021 Bat Card. The Tumbler appeared in the movies, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises starring Christian Bale. This version is gray and there are flying bats on the card.

Women Wednesday: Spirit World #1 Cover

Meet Xanthe Zhou aka the Envoy, a spirit stuck in Gotham City that stars in Spirit World #1. This new series is now out from DC Comics and stems out of Lazarus Planet: Dark Fate. John Constantine guest stars as he tries to help them get Cassandra Cain aka Batgirl back from the Spirit World. Note: Xanthe Zhou is described as a non-binary Chinese sorcerer and vampire slayer. To me, they look more female than male so I'm making her this week's spotlight for my Women Wednesday post. I highly recommend picking this up especially if you enjoy some Chinese mythology with your horror.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Happy Meal Box

It took me two trips to actually get the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Happy Meal box. I collapsed the box in order to get better pictures. The front has a group shot featuring Rocket Racoon, Mantis, Star-Lord, Groot, Drax and Nebula. The right side of the box has images of the Cosmo, Rocket, Mantis and Adam Warlock toys along with a code to scan if you want to play (I haven't yet). The back has the smile, which is always disappointing to see since they could have had another panel devoted to the movie. The left side has images of the Drax, Star-Lord, Groot and Nebula toys plus how to play the online Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Experience.
