Sexy Sunday: DC Comics Bombshells #8

DC Comics Bombshells #8 has the same cover as #7 and starts with Batwoman beating the crap out of a guy that sold information to the Nazis. After she throws him out of the window, Harper Row (Bluebird in the regular DC Universe) saves her from an ambush and asks her for her autograph:

After saying a romantic goodbye to Maggie Sawyer, Katy Kane meets Commander Amanda Waller at the Gotham train depot and escorts her to a special car. She meets her handlers Doctor Kimiyo Hoshi (Dr. Light) and "Big Barda" Free:

Commander Waller officially welcomes Kane to the Bombshells, an independent organization of women:

Batwoman's first assignment with the Bombshells is to go Berlin as a spy and contact La Contessa Selena Digatti aka the Catwoman:

Whew, there is a lot going on in this issue and it is fast paced. I can't wait to see more of Catwoman.

Sexy Sunday: Bombshells Black Canary

Here is Black Canary on the alternate Bombshells cover to Green Arrow #43 (October 2015) from DC Comics:

Having her as a singer makes sense and I love that she is still wearing her fishnet stockings. Of course, she has tattoo on her left forearm. I also like that her band is called the Birds of Prey and she they perform "Hawks and Doves in Love." I would love this as a pinup poster on my wall.

Iron Man Pocket Pop Keychain

I received this Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron Iron Man Pocket Pop! Keychain from Disney Movie Rewards on Tuesday along with my Hulk Pocket Pop Keyhain. He stands about 1 1/2" tall and has bright red and gold coloring. Here is what he looks like still in the box:

He looks pretty cool considering how small he is and I love the thruster effect coming out of his hands that makes it looks like he is taking off or landing.

Hulk Pocket Pop Keychain

I received my Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulk Pocket Pop! Keychain from Disney Movie Rewards on Tuesday. I was surprised that I got it so fast. Here he is still in the box:

Here are some pictures of the Hulk Pocket Pop Keychain itself. I left the plastic on the keyring to help him stand up better. I didn't have much trouble standing him as I thought I would. He is a little over 1 1/2" tall. He is supposed to be a bobble head but his head does not move very much.

Yes, you can easily take off the keyring and here is what the Hulk looks like without it:

I would probably keep this in the box to display it for it would easily get knocked off and lost if I put it on a shelf.

Women Wednesday: Harley Quinn: Road Trip Special

There are several reasons why you should pick up Harley Quinn: Road Trip Special #1 (November 2015). First up is this cover featuring Catwoman, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy:

The second reason is because of this cover featuring Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and Catwoman in bikinis along with Bizarro sticking his head out of the trailer:

The third reason is because the story is full of fun and weirdness:

And the last reason is because Bizarro and Jimmy Olsen both show up:

Beware that this is not a kiddie book for there are some subtle nudity and adult humor in addition to the scantily clad women (I would rate this issue PG-13).

Sexy Sunday: DC Comics Bombshells #7

The cover of DC Comics Bombshells #7 featuring Zatanna and Constantine in his smoking rabbit form:

The issue is very dark with three German soldiers being sacrificed. The Joker's Daughter tries to summon up the Prince that she serves with a song but fails. She forces Zatanna to sing and she succeeds in summoning Tenebrus the Binder that serves the King Beneath the Black. The story has a Lovecraft feel to it so I highly recomm

end it.

Sailor Saturday: Bombshells Aquaman

How can you not like this alternate Bombshells cover to Aquaman #43 (October 2015):

Aquaman as a shirtless sailor is something for the ladies to enjoy for a change. I love the large tattoo on his chest.

DC Super Heroes Checks

Yes, DC Super Heroes checks do exist and they can be found here:

The checks include Batman, the Flash, Green Lantern and Superman. I'm a bit disappointed that they don't have Wonder Woman.

Bombshells Grayson

Here's the alternate Bombshells cover to Grayson #11 (October 2015) because it's always nice to see Dick:

This is the first issue of the series that I have read with Dick Grayson being a spy and I admit that it will probably me my last one. I want to see him back as Nightwing. The Bombshells cover would have been more suited for an annual or one shot special where the story actually took place in that universe.

Goodnight Wes Craven

Sad news for we lost a very creative and talented man today according to Wes Craven, ‘Scream’ and ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’ Director, Dies at 76. He also directed and wrote 1982's Swamp Thing based on the character from DC Comics among so many other movies and tv shows.

Sexy Sunday: DC Comics Bombshells #6

DC Comics Bombshells #6 has to be the best issue yet for several reasons. The second page featuring the Joker's Daughter should have been the cover instead of the Wonder Woman and Mera cover that has been the cover since #4. Notice that her teeth are pearly white while they are disgustingly nasty in the story itself:

A group of German soldiers go to a nightclub in 1940 Berlin, Germany where they are greeted by the Joker's Daughter singing.

After they are seated, all the light bulbs pop and Zatanna appears on stage. She sings the song, Ich Halte Dich (I Hold You).

After taking a puff from one of the German soldier's cigarette that has an English taste, she calls him out as John Constantine.

Zatanna and Constantine battle with magic before she turns him into a rabbit. The Joker's Daughter starts laughing and saves them from the rest of the soldiers. However, it's clear that Zatanna has a secret that the Joker's Daughter knows and is holding over her. The latter mentions the Master several times. I have to wonder if the Joker may be the Master and/or Hitler in the Bombshells universe or at least one of the his top generals.

Marvel's Pocket Pop Keychains at Disney Movie Rewards

I finally traded 900 points at Disney Movie Rewards today for two Marvel's Pocket Pop keychains. They currently only have two from the Avengers: Age of Ultron line: the Hulk and Iron Man. I have no Pops of any kind and I thought what better time to get some.

New Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron Checks and Labels at Walmart Flyer

Last year I posted about the New Marvel Super Hero Checks and Labels at Walmart Flyer. Today's post is a kind of a sequel. I received this Walmart flyer inside this month's credit card bill. It features Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron checks and address labels that are now available from Walmart Check Printing. Movie versions of the Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man and Thor is shown group together on the left side. Checks shown include Nick Fury, the Vision, the Hulk and Black Widow. On the right side are labels featuring Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and Ultron.

You can view all the checks at Avengers: Age of Ultron Checks (other checks include Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and Ultron). You can also view all the address labels at Avengers: Age of Ultron Address Labels (other labels include Black Widow, the Vision, Nick Fury and the Hulk).

Unfortunately, the flip side of the flyer is just a generic ad for Walmart Check Printing featuring a pretty blonde.

I'm still waiting for the DC Comics's Bombshells checks.

Violett Beane Cast as Jesse Quick on CW's The Flash

According to Report: JESSE QUICK Cast for CW's THE FLASH, Violett Beane as landed the role. For those who don't know the character is the daughter of Johnny Quick and Liberty Belle. The actress is a newcomer for she just started in Hollywood this year.
