This week's special Halloween edition of Women Wednesday takes a look at celebrities dressed as Wonder Woman.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 26: Mr Bones Coffins

Fleer's Mr Bones coffins had candy pieces that you could assemble to make a skeleton. Most of the time, the candy pieces were broken or missing so you could not finish making the bony figure. A diagram on the inside lid showed how Mr Bones would look assembled. I have the orange, yellow and red versions but the candy has long since been consumed. I found them at a local convenience store years ago. Instead, I have various trinkets inside each little plastic coffin. The orange has five miniature six sided dice but only two match. The yellow has various items from vending machines: a blue spider ring, a red spider ring different from the previous one, a spiral flat metal ring and a silver werewolf head charm. The red one contains a brown derringer charm and a blue telephone charm that were also available in vending machines.

Goodnight Mike Esposito

The comic world is mourning the passing of Mike Esposito. The cover artist/inker/penciller/writer passed away on October 24, 2010 at the age of 83. He did work for DC, Marvel and Archie including the cover of Marvel Chillers #6 (August 1975) featuring Tigra the Were-Woman that he did with William F. Buckler.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 25: Dark Shadows From Famous Monsters #59

Yesterday, I presented the cover of Famous Monsters of Filmland #59 (November 1969), which had a painting of Barnabas Collins on the cover. Today, I present the pictures and article about Dark Shadows from that very same issue. The inside front cover features Barnabas Collins as he would look at his actual age:

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 24: No Fair From Famous Monsters #59

Wow, only seven more days to Halloween. Today is a special treat as I present a six page comic from Famous Monsters of Filmland #59 (November 1969). The cover illustration of Barnabas Collins from ABC's Dark Shadows was done by Basil Gogos.

"No Fair" was illustrated by Tom Sutton and written by Bill Parente.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 23: Universal Monster Army

Universal Monster Army is a forum where classic monster fans can gather. You can find discussion about collecting monsters, cinematic creeps, headlines and happenings, cons of a monstrous kind, and monsters bought and sold. I spent a few hours last night just reading a few posts and drooling over the wonderful pictures that other monster fans shared.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 22: YoVille's Batman, Robin And Iron Man

YoVille is another Facebook game that is getting into the spirit of Halloween. Not only can you do spooky jobs and decorate your house with eerie items, you can also dress up as superheroes. Bird Boy is obviously Batman, Bird Wingman is Robin and Metal Man is Iron Man:

Unfortunately, I have no YoVille Bucks so I bought the Devil male costume that is basically red skin with shorts. I had the fangs from last Halloween and changed my hair to a purple mowhawk. The end result is the following:

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 21: Pop Century Elvira Signature Card

On my trading card want list is the AU-E1 card from Razor's Pop Century Signatures trading card series since it has Elvira's picture and signature on the front:

The top back of the card has the following text: "Casandra Peterson is known worldwide as her raven haired alter ego Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. Besides numerous guest roles in both TV and film Cassandra most recently emerged in a new cult horror film, All About Evil (2010)":

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 20: Catwoman And Elvira On Parenthood

Yes, today is a special Halloween edition of Women's Wednesday for last night's episode of NBC's Parenthood had a Halloween episode titled "Orange Alert". Sarah Braverman, played by the beautiful Lauren Graham, was dressed up as Catwoman from the 1960s tv show at her job as a bartender

Also of note is Sarah's mother, Camille Braverman (Bonnie Bedelia), who was dressed as Elvira in the same episode. She is not in as many scenes but she was still a delight to see.

One of the loading screens for Facebook's FarmVille online game features a horse and duck in costume. However, my favorites are the ghost and mummy gnomes. Yes, you can actually grow candy corn as a crop in the game.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 17: Super FV Man, Woman And ?

FaceBook's Farmville is one online game that really gets into the spirit of Halloween. Not only can you grow pumpkins, decorate the farm and go trick n treating but your farmer can dress up in costumes. They have several different costumes but I picked the Super FV Man costume:

Superhero City is a FaceBook online game that is getting into the spirit of Halloween. There are spooky costumes (one just happens to look like Elvira) and equipment available while bats fly around during the battles.
