I spent most of the morning watching parades before working on a Mickey Mouse puzzle. We had an early dinner so we can snack on leftovers later. I wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving Day this year.

Man of Steel Black Spiral Notebook

I actually found this Man of Steel black spiral notebook at the local Walmart's yesterday afternoon for a dollar. It was the only one that they had left and I had never seen it at the store before. I call it black because that's the major color with some splashing of white and red. I do like the red plastic spiral but I wonder how it would hold up to all the abuse a school kid would put it through like stacking heavy text books on it. Superman looks very angry and he may have just used his heat vision.

Netflix To Bring Four Marvel Superheroes To Tv

According to Netflix signed a HUGE deal with Marvel for Dardevil, Luke Cage series + more, not only will those two superheroes be getting their own live action Internet tv series but Jessica Jones and Iron Fist is also on the list. There will even be a crossover mini-series featuring the four called The Defenders. Looks like I may have to subscribe to Netflix in 2015.

Hourman Coming To TV

I can actually see Hourman from DC Comics getting his own tv show: The CW's bringing another DC character to TV (one you'd never expect). This might open the gate to other lesser known characters getting their own shows.

Halloween Results

We only had ten little beggars...er, kids come knocking on our door in a two hour span this Halloween. I gave them each two pieces of treats since I was expecting more tricksters. None showed up after an hour of waiting so I turned off the lights, let the dog out and put the treats in the refrigerator (Kit Kats were already melting). To be fair, a high school ballgame was going on last night which prevented many parents going out with their youngsters. I also learned this morning that the businesses on Main Street were giving out candy from three to five on Halloween. The local Fish and Games was doing the same. A co-worker that lives about two blocks away only had two little beggars...er, kids. Last year we had twenty-five and the year before that was thirty or so. This was the worst year for tricksters asking for treats that I can remember.

Countdown to Halloween 2013 Day 31: Angry Birds Star Wars Bucket, Stickers and Fruit Gummies

Halloween is finally here and I'm finally sharing pictures of the Angry Birds Star Wars bucket and stickers that I got a few weeks ago with a cheeseburger Happy Meal from McDonald's. The Death Star in the background has a pig snout and ears:

Chuck the Yellow Bird is dressed up as Han Solo and Terrance the Big Brother Bird as Chewbacca:

There are two pigs dressed up as two different versions of Boba Fett (yes, I know it's not a very good picture showcasing them but they are on there):

As an added bonus, I found an empty box of Angry Birds Star Wars Fruit Gummies last month in the parking lot of the store where I work. Countdown to Halloween 2013 Day 29: Frankie Stein Bucket and Stickers

My sister and I actually got cheeseburger Happy Meals about two weeks ago. They are doing Monster High buckets and stickers for the girls and Angry Birds Star Wars buckets with stickers for the boys this month. I got the Angry Birds Star Wars with Han Solo and Chewbacca bucket and stickers but I might show them in another post. My sister gladly gave me her Frankie Stein bucket and stickers, which I am showcasing in today's post. There are two images of her on the blue bucket with one being a close-up. I really like the black handle for it features a bat, the skull with a bow over MH, crossbones and a lightning bolt.

The Frankie Stein stickers are pretty cool especially the skull with the bow and all the different little lightning bolts:

Countdown to Halloween 2013 Day 28: The Return of Frute Brute

I didn't spot the monster cereals at the local Wal-Mart Super Center until October 10th this year. They were on an endcap and had all five of the new boxes. I grabbed Frute Brute because I was looking more to his return than Yummy Mummy and I'm more partial to the werewolf. I figured I could pick that one up when I finished eating the Frute Brute cereal. It took my two weeks to finish the cherry flavor frosted cereal with spooky-fun marshmallows. Yeah, they didn't taste anywhere as good as I remembered them being when I was a kid. The local Wal-Mart Super Center still had a full endcap of the monster cereals on October 17th so I didn't pick any up since I still had half a box of Frute Brute. Big mistake for they were all gone when I returned to the store on October 24 (they weren't kidding when they said that they were only available for a limited time). I ended up getting Cap'n Crunch Halloween cereal instead (I still have half a box of that to finish). Anyway, here are scans of the return of Frute Brute cereal box:
