Sexy Sunday: DC Comics Bombshells #19
The cover of DC Comics Bombshells #19 shows Kathy, Harper and Nell as the Batgirls:
The first page features Batwoman even though Kate Kane appears briefly out of costume. This issue is the first chapter of "Allies".
The issue deals mostly with Harper and Kathy in Gotham City, 1940. Nell is driving a cool version of the batmobile:
Harper has a flashback after Kathy saves her from a police officer on horseback. Seems that she and her younger brother have a history with Officer Daniels. Kathy introduces Harper and Nell to Alysia Yeoh while in their civilian identities. Alysia says that she will help break Harper's younger brother out of the Pinkney Orphanage only if she can become a Batgirl. Of course, they accept her and Nell makes her a costume.

Sexy Sunday: DC Comics Bombshells #18
The cover of DC Comics Bombshells #18 is the same cover as #16 featuring Batwoman and Catwoman while page one features Stargirl riding a bomb with the credits. This issue is part 9 of 9 so that means it's the last issue. Bare with me because there is a lot to follow in this one issue.
DC Comics Bombshells #18 starts with Mera talking with Stargirl and Supergirl on a battleship while Commander Waller arrives along with Big Barda and Dr. Hoshi aka Dr. Light. Hoshi gives the Soviet superheroines new uniforms that they object to because they do not want to be poster girls. Stargirl uses her cosmic staff to change their uniforms from red to blue. The sisters fly off probably to save their father.
Next, we catch up with Kate Kane aka the Batwoman riding in a white car with Catwoman and Lex Luthor in Berlin when they are hit by a black vehicle. Brother Night steps out demanding that they hand over Kate. She grabs her baseball bat and is ready for action.
The issue then switches to a prison camp in Greece where Wonder Woman is being held captive. Steve Trevor is trying to talk her into apologizing to General Lane. She refuses and breaks the bars intent on getting them both out of there.
In France, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are killing Nazi zombies while riding in a truck. Harley is singing about their exploits in a bizarre Christmas song.
The final section features Zatanna in Berlin reminiscing with Constantine, who is still a rabbit. He changes the subject to how she is on the wrong side. Zatanna explains how the Joker's Daughter saved her during the first purge since she had a Jewish father and a Romani mother. Constantine tells her that she is more powerful than she realizes and that the Joker's Daughter is using her as a battery. He tells her that Amanda Waller sent him there to find something that may be hiding in the cabaret. She tells him how the rooms moves and she has the feeling that something is watching her. He promises her that he will get her out somehow and together they can change the tide.
I won't give away the final page except to say that the Joker's Daughter makes a creepy appearance. This issue feels more like they are leading each into their own series, which I hope happens. I can't wait to read more adventures of these women.

Sexy Sunday: DC Comics Bombshells #17
The cover of DC Comics Bombshells #17 is the same as #16 featuring Batwoman and Catwoman. Yeah, the former appear in this issue while the latter appears out of costume towards the end of the issue. The real star is Helena aka the Huntress, which is shown playing a guitar on page 1:
Batwoman is out blowing up tanks in 1940 Berlin with her exploding baseballs. She comes across swing kids and falls instantly for Helena, who is playing an odd guitar in the band (notice how different it looks from the one on page 1):
Helena pulls out a crossbow from her guitar when Nazi zombies attacks the swing kids.
Helena introduces herself to Batwoman while the pair fights the Nazi zombies. Not only does she play guitar but she also claims to be the leader of the German Youth Resistance. The pair leave the building and she spots Selina's coupe. She does a quick costume change, which basically consist of making her short skirt into a long dress. Helena hides as Selina pulls up with Lex Luthor. Kate distracts them while Helena gets into the trunk. As they drive away, Lex shows off his new discovery, which is a glowing green rock.

Tasty Tuesday: DC Comics Bombshells #16
Batwoman and Catwoman are featured on the cover on DC Comics Bombshells #16, which is odd because neither of them appear in this issue. It does feature Mera on the first page which is the same artwork found on #4.
The issue starts with her defeating a German u-boat with an alien crew with the help of two whales while she sings.
Mera is actually called Aquawoman by sailors on the HMS Winston. She gets friendly with three sailors, who all show her pictures of their sweethearts. Two "missiles" appear in the sky and she leaps into action only to find out that they are Supergirl and Stargirl. Aquawoman starts battling Supergirl for she has no clue as to who they are.
Stargirl speaks English and tells Mera their story briefly and asks her to hide them. She introduces them to the captain and promises the sisters that they don't have to run anymore.

Swamp Thing From DC Comics Bombshells #15
DC Comics Bombshells #15 finds Supergirl and Stargirl going back to their home village in hopes of saving their mother and father. Unfortunately, they arrive too late for their parents are captives of Soviet General Arkayn. While Supergirl is confronting him and his soldiers, Stargirl brings in a heavy hitter to help them in the form of Swamp Thing.
The sisters fly off with their parents but the Night Witches arrive to do battle.
Unfortunately, Supergirl drops her father but he is saved and captured by the Night Witches. He tells them to fly away while they can. They leave with their mother.

Sexy Sunday: DC Comics Bombshells #14
The cover of DC Comics Bombshells #14 has the same Wonder Woman cover as #13, which is odd since she doesn't appear at all in this issue. Luckily, the contents page features Harley Quinn, who does appear in this issue.
The story actually picks up from #11 with Harley Quinn arriving at the English Channel, three miles from Calais, France in 1940. Tanks attack her stolen airplane and blows it up but she escapes by riding a bomb down.
She crashes into a greenhouse and the bomb ends up being a dud. Harley Quinn turns around to find Poison Ivy pointing a double barrel shotgun at her.
Poison Ivy takes her into her house and finds out that she is a smuggler. She confesses that she has at least three German soldiers buried under her greenhouse. The poisonous perfume that she made to kill them turned her skin green. A group of German soldiers arrive and Harley Quinn makes a giant homemade mallet. She greets one at the front door and hits him on the head with it. Unfortunately, there are more soldiers that chase her into the greenhouse. Of course, they fire their weapons at her and causes an explosion. Poison Ivy arrives in a truck and tells her to get in while the dead soldiers are walking about as zombies behind them.

Sexy Saturday: DC Comics Bombshells #13
While I love Wonder Woman on the cover of DC Comics Bombshells #13, she does not appear in this issue.
Selina DiGatti aka Catwoman does appear in this issue.
This issue is mostly about Kate Kane aka Batwoman in 1940 Berlin.
She meets Alexander Luthor, who warns her about Selina before introducing them to each other at a party at her mansion. Catwoman gets Batwoman alone and warns her to watch herself before taking her to a group of upper crusts that is waiting for Edel Nacht aka Brother Night to begin a gruesome ceremony. He uncovers the body of a dead Nazi soldier moments before the Joker's Daughter arrives. She takes off a purple glove to show that most of her arm is black. Black energy radiates from her hand as she sings. The black energy goes into the dead soldier. He sits up before Brother Night commands him to recite the Reichswehreid. He does before the Joker's Daughter claims him to be the first of the Tenebrae and that the true war begins.

Star Wars Plus Mystery Temporary Tattoos
I had a few quarters and decided to try my luck at the vending machines this morning. The local Dillons store had a vending machine offering Star Wars temporary tattoos for fifty cents each so I bought three. Technically, they should have been called Star Wars: The Force Awakens temporary tattoos since the artwork features many characters from the upcoming science fiction movie. They were made by Vending Supply and there are fifteen tattoos in this set.
The third one features a Stormtrooper:
The fourth Star Wars temporary tattoo features Chewbacca, Captain Phasma, Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron (yes, I had to look up to see who that last one was):
The tenth one features Chewbacca:
I had one quarter left so I decided to try the mystery vending machine at the same store. I ended up with PAW Patrol temporary tattoo #6, which feature Chase. I have never seen an episode of the cartoon series but I might have to check it out after getting this tattoo. The series is also made by Vending Supply and there are ten designs in this set.

Women Wednesday: DC Comics Bombshells #12
Once again, DC Comics Bombshells #12 has the same Harley Quinn riding a bomb cover as #10 and #11 even though the interior is all about Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman finds Steve Trevor in Greece in 1940 and he is looking worse than before. She is wearing her new armor and he tells her how his fellow comrades in arms are calling him coward. Things take a turn for the worse when Nazi prisoners that have surrendered enter the camp. One soldier is about to shot one when Wonder Woman steps in and stops him. She talks about making the Nazi prisoners stand trial for their deeds. Of course, the commander doesn't like this and talks about executing her and Steve.

DC Comics Bombshells #11
Time to get back to regular posts since I spent the entire month of October with the Countdown to Halloween 2015. DC Comics Bombshells #11 features the same cover as #10 does. The issue is all about Doctor Harleen Quinzel at the Arkham Ward in London, England in 1940. She speaks to one of her patients about her nightmares and her brother's trial. Shondra Kinsolving tells her about a man who laughs that has a message for her. "Come find me" is all that it takes to make Harleen snap and she chants that he's back. After a male patient escapes his cell and attacks her, she fights and defeats him.
She gives Shondra the key to her cell before leaving in a costume that makes her look like a sexy elf that you never see working for Santa. In full Harley Quinn mode, she heads straight to a Christmas party and causes mischief.
A pilot named Hal introduces himself and they leave the party. They go to Whitemore Airfield and Harley Quinn knocks him out before stealing a plane.
