Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Hot Wheels Alien Crosser Motorcycle

The McDonald's Hot Wheels Alien Crosser motorcycle is a cool bonus to all the action figures that I picked up at a local thrift store. This was originally put out in their 2007 Stunt Strikers Happy Meals.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Gallaxhar

Monsters vs. Aliens is another animated movie that I have yet to watch. I did get a Gallaxhar that McDonald's put out in the 2009 Happy Meals in my third toy bag at a local thrift store last Saturday. His top half is hard plastic while his legs are soft rubber. Gallaxhar's left arm moves up and down at the shoulder. I'm putting him in the figurine category because of his limited movement.

Thrift Store Find: Burger King Treehouse Horror Classics Werewolf Ned Flanders

I will start posting about the toys from the third bag that I picked up at a local thrift store for a quarter last Saturday. I picked up another McDonald's Legion of Superheroes Timberwolf figurine but I won't be posting about this one (you can view my previous one here). Instead, this post is all about the Burger King Treehouse Horror Classics Werewolf Ned Flanders figurine from 2011. I had a hard time making him stand on his own so I had to use my Superman stand to help him stay up. He goes into the figurine category instead of the action figures for nothing on him moves. There is some flexibility in his limbs so I might be able to make him stand on his own with some work.

Thrift Store Find: Unknown Biker With Black Helmet

I have no clue as to who this unknown biker wearing a black helmet is. All I know is that I picked him up in the second quarter bag of three that I found at a local thrift store. The utility belt that he is wearing and the walkie talkie in his left shirt pocket makes me suspect him as a member of law enforcement. However, my online searches has come up empty. If you know whom he might be, then please leave a comment. He stands four inches high and have plenty of joints that move. Not only is he wearing a black helmet and utility belt but his pants is also black. He is wearing a red shirt/jacket with rolled sleeves and pockets over a white t-shirt. His calf-high boots are brown. I can't find any writing on him.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Sokka

I found a Sokka action figure from the 2010's McDonald's The Last Airbender Happy Meals. He was in the second bag of three that I picked up at a local thrift store for a quarter. Unfortunately, he is missing his weapon and trading card but his arms still move. I actually enjoyed the live action movie based on the cartoon, Avatar: the Last Airbender.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Black Manta

I picked up another Black Manta action figure from the 2011 McDonald's Young Justice Happy Meals toy line (you can read about my first one here). He was in the second bag full of figures that I picked up at a local thrift store for a quarter. I took some more decent pictures this time around.

Thrift Store Find: Imaginext Space Shuttle Crewmen

The last two figures in the first bag of three that I picked up at the local thrift store on Saturday are Imaginext Space Shuttle and Launch Tower crewmen from Fisher Price. They have DC Comics on the bottom of their right feet. The bald astronaut has the number six on the bottom of his right foot too while the other one has the number two. I know next to nothing about the Imaginext Space Shuttle other than what I have seen on eBay. While their shoulders have ball joints, their legs do not and are rather stiff. Their heads can twist in a complete circle. I do believe that they originally came with helmets when they were new. Their eyes remind me of Cyclop's visor so my first thought was that they were some generic superheroes. These are my first Imaginext action figures and I hope that they won't be my last.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Treasure Planet Jim Hawkins

You want to know a secret? I still haven't watched Disney's Treasure Planet all the way through. I have seen bits and pieces of the 2002 animate movie here and there. McDonald's Treasure Planet Happy Meal toys originally came out that same year. I found Jim Hawkins in a bag with Aqualad and Captain Cold plus two more action figures that I will post about tomorrow. He has very limited movement with only his head, shoulders and waist being able to move in a complete circle.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Young Justice Aqualad

I picked up two more Aqualad action figures that was part of McDonald's Young Justice Happy Meals toy line in 2011 in yesterday's thrift store find. The light on both of the toys work but I decided to just picture the one from the first bag below.

Thrift Store Find: McDonald's Young Justice Captain Cold

I found three bags of miscellaneous action figures/figurines for a quarter each at a local thrift store this morning. Some I quickly recognized while others still remain a mystery. The first figurine that caught my eye was Captain Cold from McDonald's Young Justice Happy Meal from 2011. Unfortunately, he didn't come with his ice missile so that is why he is being tagged as a figurine instead of a action figure. I can't complain since he was basically five cents.

Sin City Dame Rosario Dawson Joins Daredevil Series

I might have to get Netflix after reading Rosario Dawson Joins "Daredevil" Cast. You might remember her as Gail in 2005's Sin City and this year's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

Jason Momoa As Aquaman

At least that is the news according to Batman v. Superman: Jason Momoa Will Be A Studly Aquaman. Personally, I can see him more as Marvel's Namor the Sub Mariner instead of Arthur Curry.

Thrift Store Find: Stretch Screamers Skeleton

I was thinking about posting about the Stretch Screamers Skeleton action figure in October as part of the Halloween 2014 Countdown but I figured to showcase him today since it is Friday the 13. The toy originally came out as part of McDonald's Halloween Happy Meals in 2003 but I picked one up in a toy grab bag at the local thrift store a few weeks ago.
Front of McDonald's Stretch Screamers Skeleton from 2003
His arms have limited movement thanks to the armored shoulder pads but his legs can swivel full circle. The top part of his body can be pulled up to make him stretch plus create a cracking sound.
Back of McDonald's Stretch Screamers Skeleton from 2003
Overall, the Stretch Screamers Skeleton action figure is pretty neat. The only way to make him better was to have him glow in the dark.

Thrift Store Find: Burger King Treehouse Horror Classics Marge Simpson

Originally offered by Burger King in 2011, I found this Treehouse Horror Classics Marge Simpson figurine at a local thrift store. Unfortunately, her battery is really low so the light is very dim. It's still a cool figurine to have since I don't have any of The Simpsons.

Marvel: Avengers Alliance Tactics

I really wanted to write about the new Marvel: Avengers Alliance Tactics game on Facebook. Unfortunately, I can't get the game to load and I finally gave up after the third attempt.

Thrift Store Find: Tuck Turtle Figurine

I picked up this Tuck Turtle figurine from 2007 in a bag of figures a few weeks ago at the local thrift store. At first, I thought he was called Wonder Turtle due to the fact that he has a W on his cape. After doing a search, I learned who he really was and that he appeared on a Nickelodeon cartoon series titled Wonder Pets. Never seen the show but he's a cool little guy that stands at three inches.

McDonald's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 #4: Be Amazing Journal

In addition to The Amazing Spider-Man 2Happy Meal for boys that I picked up a few weeks ago, I also managed to pick one up for the girls. The #4: Be Amazing Journal not only has a lot of pink but is also more artsy. The journal measures 4-1/4" by 5-1/4". The hard front cover has Spidey aiming and getting ready to fire his web shooter right at you along with "Be Amazing" printed sideways on the flap that is actually attached to the back cover (there's a half spider symbol image hidden under the flap):

The pages within the journal are purple and feature different graphics such as the spider symbol, webbing, buildings and even Spider-Man himself. Some pages are lined and some are not. Here is the centerfold:

The back cover of the journal is basically webbing with the spider symbol and part of Spidey's shoulder making it a wraparound cover:

The sheet of stickers measures 3 by 3 inches. Mostly the stickers are symbols and only one actually features Spider-Man from the movie:

I would have liked this journal to have featured Gwen Stacy even if it was just an image on the cover or a sticker. I felt like the girls got cheated on this compared to the activity book that the boys received.

McDonald's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 #8: Activity Book

I managed to pick up a Happy Meal for boys when McDonald's was running their The Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie tie-in. I got #8, which is the Spider-Man Activity Book. The hardback book is just shy of 4-1/2" by 5". The activities includes mazes, word scrambles, drawing exercises (yourself as a super hero or a spider), hidden words, coloring pages, counting, how many words can you find, coded messages, Tic-Tac-Toe and spot the differences. The front cover features Spider-Man in his famous web shooting and swinging pose:

The centerfold features an odd perspective of buildings that you can use the stickers to make a scene:

The back cover features Spider-Man face to face with Electro:

The stickers is on a sheet measuring 3" by 4" and features a lot of Spider-Man in different poses. There are only two Electro stickers and several spider symbols (my scanner automatically cropped the right side that has Made for McD's 2014 text):

McDonald's Amazing Spider-Man 2 Apple Slices Wrapper

Kudos for McDonald's for actually putting cool graphics on their apple slices wrapper for their The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Happy Meals:
