Happy 250th Birthday, America! Archie Comics Celebrates America’s 250th #1 was released this week in time for the Fourth of July. There is a total of six covers with cover A featuring Betty, Archie, Veronica, Jughead and three other friends. Here is the official summary:

"America is celebrating its 250th birthday, and who better to ring in the occasion than the beacons of Americana — Archie Andrews and all his friends and family in Riverdale! Take a walk down memory lane (no, not THAT Memory Lane), as we revisit some of the best U.S. and U.S. history stories from Archie’s 85 years!"

Miss America celebrated the 70th anniversary of Marvel Comics, which was then called Timely Comics, in Miss America Comics 70th Anniversary Special #1 that was released June 11, 2009. She was created by created by Otto Binder, who also co-created Mary Marvel and Supergirl, and Al Gabriele. This cover was drawn by Dale Eaglesham:
