I picked up The Midnight Man DVD at the local Dollar Tree a few weeks ago. I watched it yesterday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Robert Englund, who is mostly known for his role as Freddy Kruger in A Nightmare on Elm Street, actually has a supporting role and is not the main star as the DVD covers suggest. Yes, you read that right for this DVD has two covers. Side one features the Midnight Man himself (he's played by Kyle Strauts, who has been on the CW's The Flash and Supergirl) while side two features Gabrielle Haugh as Alex Luster (she played Addison in Jeepers Creepers III). Lin Shaye also stars in the movie as Alex's grandmother, Annie (she played the teacher on A Nightmare on Elm Street and acted in several movies and tv shows). She's actually creepier than the Midnight Man.
In addition to the American movie that was released in 2016, this DVD also has the original 2013 Irish movie that it is based on. Midnight Man starring Philippa Carson as Alex. I basically got two horror movies for a dollar and you can't beat that.
