Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 23: Halloween Stickers

I released these six Halloween stickers from my old warped sticker book and put them on homemade trading cards. These actually came from those little sticker booklets from the 1980s. They are not in great condition but at least I still have them.

The first card features a witch flying on her broom with a big orange moon watching her, a cute black cat wearing a witch's hat leaning on a jack-o-lantern and a black cat ready to scratch you:
The second card features a jack-o-lantern, a very friendly looking scarecrow and a ghost that looks a little like Casper:

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 22: Puffy Halloween Stickers

Here are four puffy Halloween stickers from my old warped sticker book. I took them out and put them on homemade trading cards. I'm not sure about the year but I'm pretty sure they were from the 1980s. I'm also thinking that they were available in vending machines but I could be wrong. I'm not really sure if they are all from the same set or not. I can't seem to find any info on them yet by searching the usual sites.

The first pair consist of a dancing skeleton with a pumpkin head and black cat sitting on a pumpkin:

The second pair is a skull and a very sinister red-faced devil with white horns:

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 20: Vintage Vampire Snoopy and Woodstock Sticker

I had this vintage vampire Snoopy and Woodstock sticker in my old warped sticker book. I have no clue as the actual age or where I got it from. I'm pretty sure that it came on a sheet of stickers and I have had it since the 1980s at least. This is kind of unusual because vampire Snoopy has a blue cape:

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 19: Super Mario Bros Meets Elvira

Yes, Elvira was actually on the The Super Mario Bros. Super Show tv series twice. The first segment was "Mommies Curse" and was the twentieth live action segment that originally aired on September 29, 1989;
"The Ghoul of My Dreams" was the sixty-fifth live action segment that originally aired on December 1, 1989 and could be considered a sequel to her first appearance since they both feature Luigi as a mummy:

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 18: Glow in the Dark Horror Puffy Stickers

I remember getting these glow in the dark horror puffy stickers in the mid-1980s out of a local vending machine for a quarter. Unfortunately, I only got seven out of ten since I rarely ever got a full set of anything back then. I finally took them out of my very warped sticker book and put them on homemade trading cards. On the first card is Dracula, the Mummy, Wolfman and Frankenstein:

The second card features King Kong, the Skull and I-Oneman:

Unfortunately, these horror puffy stickers have lost their ability to glow in the dark after all these years.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 17: Spookylicious Pop-Tarts

I actually managed to snag this year's Limited Edition Spookylicious Frosted Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts from Kellogg's in late September at the local Walmart Super Center. The front of the box is pretty cool with the haunted house in the background:

This is the left side of the box when the front is towards you. I like the unPOPular tart styles #20: DISCO-TARTS #boogiefever. This side gives you the directions on how to prepare the Pop-Tarts in English and Spanish:
Left side of Kellogg's Spookylicious Frosted Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts box
The back of the box is basically has a few toons but nothing really spooky:
Back of Kellogg's Spookylicious Frosted Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts box
I'm not showing the right side of the box since it features the nutrition facts and ingredients both in English and Spanish.

The Pop-Tarts themselves look pretty much like the one on the front of the box but the ghosts and moon pieces do not cover them as neatly. They taste okay if you enjoy chocolate fudge, which I don't and the orange frosting didn't have any taste at all. I wish Kellogg's would produce the regular size of Pop-Tarts instead of the sixteen count because it took me a while to finish these off. Also, the foil wrappers are just like the regular ones so it would have been cool if they made them a little bit more special.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 16: Alice Cooper vs Chaos! #1

This is one of those posts that I could have written last month but I saved it up for the Countdown to Halloween 2015. Alice Cooper vs Chaos! #1 from Dynamite Comics rocks on so many levels. The cover features Alice among several characters from the Chaos Comics including Purgatori, Chastity, Evil Ernie and Smiley.

Alice Cooper moonlights as the Lord of Nightmares and something is amiss in the other world:

Chastity and Lane Silver are hunting a big baddie underneath Denver, Colorado and things don't go well for them:

They meet up with Purgatori, which is really not a good thing:

Meanwhile in Roseville, Minnesota, Rashad and Vex from the Chosen gets closer, which is weird considering he is a zombie, moments before the rest of the gang shows up:

Vex becomes possessed by Draum-Njorun and recites part of the lyrics from Alice Cooper's Welcome To My Nightmare:

Finally, we catch up with Evil Ernie in Box Butte County, Nebraska:

I won't reveal the ending here but this issue sets up the rest of the series pretty good. While I never read many of the original Choas! Comics from the 1990s, I am familiar with them mostly thanks to reading articles and previews in Wizard (remember that magazine?). I highly recommend reading Alice Cooper vs Chaos! #1.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 14: Queen of the Dead Slots

House of Fun released their newest slots game, Queen of the Dead, yesterday. I played it on Facebook and was surprised at how much I won so fast. The graphics are are pretty cool too:

This is like the cutest zombie couple ever on an online slot game and this is just the loading page:

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 13: Kansas Zombie Adventure Lottery Ticket

The only Kansas Lottery tickets that I have found so far around here are the Zombie Adventure scratch cards for two dollars per ticket. I picked up two and they were numbered sixty-nine and seventy. The main prize is a Motoped Survival Bike. Of course, I didn't win any of the cash prizes or the main prize.

According to the official Kansas Lottery website, there is supposed to be Plants vs Zombies Lottery Tickets. I haven't found any around here yet and I doubt that I would get one at five dollars per ticket. I'm surprised at the lack of one dollar lottery tickets this year.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 11 Bonus: The Walking Dead Reminder

Here are two reminders from Rick and Daryl that season six of The Walking Dead starts tonight on AMC:
Rick returns in season six of The Walking Dead
Daryl returns in season six of The Walking Dead
Yes, I'll be watching it at 8 PM CST. Fear The Walking Dead was okay for a zombie fix but over before I even got to really care about any of the characters.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 11: Publishers Clearing House Lotto Games

Publishers Clearing House Lotto has been running two Halloween-related lotto games this month. I have been playing them daily but have yet to win the five thousand dollars on either game. The first is Ghouls Gold:

The second lotto game is Ghost Patrol:

I'm really surprised that they didn't do anything with zombies this year.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 9: Zombies vs Cheerleaders 2015 Halloween Special

If you dislike a little t&a and comedy with your horror, then you will want to skip over this post. I got my hands on a copy of Zenescope Entertainment's Zombies vs Cheerleaders 2015 Halloweeen Special. There are four different covers and mine had cover D featuring a cheerleader showing her panties in mid jump with tons of zombies:
Cover D of Zombies vs Cheerleaders 2015 Halloween Special from Zenescope Entertainment
Page 1 of Zombies vs Cheerleaders 2015 Halloween Special from Zenescope Entertainment
Most of the stories are one pagers with the women either completely nude (the naughty bits are covered up to give it a PG-13 rating):
Page 14 of Zombies vs Cheerleaders 2015 Halloween Special from Zenescope Entertainment
Or they are wearing their cheerleader uniforms:
Page 22 of Zombies vs Cheerleaders 2015 Halloween Special from Zenescope Entertainment
There are a few longer stories but I think the one pagers are more fun. There is also a lot of gory zombie horror too but in a cartoony way. The humor reminds me a lot of Syfy's Z Nation so you might like this if you enjoy that.
