Now with other duties, he is saying goodbye to regular posts with hopes of returning to blogging in the future. Wonder Woman '77 #1

Wonder Woman '77 #1 is a web only comic book from DC Comics and is based on the tv series staring Lynda Carter. Here is the cover:

The issue starts with the Amazon Princess fighting a bunch of Russian roller derby queens:

The artwork is a little uneven at times especially with the likeness of Lyle Waggoner as Steve Trevor. I'm sure it will get better as the series progresses. The story was good and I like the twist at the end, which makes me want to read the second issue. If you're a fan of Wonder Woman, then this is a must.

The King's 80th Natal Anniversary

Elvis Presley was born eighty years ago today. I'm still a big fan thanks to my mom who gave me her collection of 45 and 33 vinyl records when I was about twelve or so. Most of the records were original Elvis Presley recordings and I still have them packed away:

Goodbye KAKE, ABC and MeTV Kansas

Cox Communications dropped KAKE, our local ABC affiliate and MeTV Kansas. I'm glad that I got to watch the first hour of Agent Carter last night (I had to turn it over to catch Little Women: L.A.). I thought it was okay but not great. Unfortunately, without KAKE, I will be missing out on my favorite ABC shows like Once Upon A Time, Last Man Standing and The Goldbergs. There will be no more Wonder Woman reruns without MeTV Kansas and that makes me really sad.

I was able to play the Hit Rich Elvira's Big Chest of Horrors game on Facebook while it was unlocked. It's a level 80 game and I still have a long way to go before I can unlock it permanently. The minimum bet is $1,500.

Hit It Rich Flash Gordon

Welcome to 2015 and I seriously thought about changing the template here at Moongem Comics today. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any style that I liked. Looks like I will stick to the classic look for the moment. Since today is the first day of the new year, I decided to play a new Hit It Rich game on Facebook. Since all the VIP games are unlocked today, I decided to play Flash Gordon. The minimum bet on this one is $1,400.

I doubt that I will be playing Hit It Rich Flash Gordon again due to the high minimum bet. I do like the artwork and the fact that the Flash Gordon in the bottom left corner is a little animated

Women Wednesday: Hit It Rich Bettie Page

Since this is the last Women Wednesday post of 2014, I thought I would share some screenshots of the new Hit It Rich Bettie Page slot game that I have been playing for the past few days on Facebook. It's open to play for a limited time (otherwise you have to be a vip at level 125 to play and I'm currently at 65). The minimum bet is $1,200 (I can go up to $6,000 due to my level) but I have been losing more than I have been winning.

In addition to the annual receiving of boring gray socks, multicolored boxer briefs and white t-shirts, I received two Monster Cereal Hot Wheels from 2013.

Merry Christmas 2014: Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual #2

Merry Christmas and as a special treat, here is a special peek at Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual #2 (February 2015):

The first three chapters are the best since they take a wicked look at Christmas while the fourth and final chapter has a nice twist that explains the weirdness. I almost passed this one up since I thought it would all be doom and gloom. I was surprised at the fun that it poked at Christmas plus having Batman in a cameo was great too. Even if you are not a fan of the series, I would recommend picking up Red Hood and the Outlaws Annual #2.

Christmas Countdown 2014 Day 4: DC Super Star Holiday Special Part 2

Today's Christmas Countdown 2014 continues the look at DC Super Star Holiday Special (Spring 1980).

The House of Mystery story is actually three short stories told by the horror hosts at DC Comics. The three witch sisters (Morded, Mildred, and Cynthia) from The Witching Hour tells one followed by Cain telling another. Destiny from Secrets of Haunted House breaks in to tell a story. The Phantom Stranger and Madame Xanadu shows up after everyone starts bickering. Poor Abel never gets to tell his tale.
