Goodnight Joe Kubert

Comic legend, Joe Kubert has passed away at the age of eighty-five according to Newsarma. Not a bad run for someone who started drawing comic books professionally at the age of twelve and was still working.

Matchbox Batmobile

I always check the Hot Wheels at the local Wal-Mart Super Center whenever I am there but they were pretty bare this morning. I decided to check the Matchbox section, which covers three pegs as opposed to twenty for Hot Wheels (this does not count the special editions and multi packs). I thought I was seeing things when I noticed a metallic blue Batmobile. I picked it up and read the back to make sure it was the real thing. It was so I purchased it since the price was still ninety-seven cents.

This MBX City Batmobile is twenty-five of one hundred twenty.

The back states the following: "There's adventure around every corner in Gotham City! With the help of Batman in the unstoppable Batmobile, police cruisers foil the plots of bad guys while rescue vehicles keep a vigilant eye on the City. And while citizens hustle to stores, schools and skyscapers, trucks are busy transporting vital supplies in and out of downtown."

Justice League PEZ Trio

Here are the Justice League PEZ trio that I have been showcasing together:

Women Wednesday: Dorit's Wonder Woman Music Video

Catchy tune with a guitar playing Wonder Woman and a drumming Batman:

Superman Bust PEZ

I picked up a bagged Superman bust PEZ dispenser on my last road trip and he is the last of the lot. He looks like he should be a Disney prince but I'm so glad that he was made before the 52 reboot of DC Comics. The candy that he came with was grape and raspberry, which I have yet to consume. Superman is blurry in the second picture for reasons unknown but I suspect that he was craving the candy or he stepped out to rescue Lois Lane at super speed.

Women Wednesday: Amazon Queen Shieka

Oops, I just summoned the Amazon Queen Shieka and her three million Amazons in Superhero City:

Green Lantern Bust PEZ

I picked up a bagged Green Lantern bust PEZ on my last road trip that came with raspberry and grape candy. My only gripe about this is that he has a dark blue body instead of a green one.

Tragedy Strikes In Colorado

My condolences and prayers go out to the victims and their families in Aurora, Colorado especially after reading Gunman kills 12 in Colorado movie theater.
