Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 17: Spookylicious Pop-Tarts

I actually managed to snag this year's Limited Edition Spookylicious Frosted Chocolate Fudge Pop-Tarts from Kellogg's in late September at the local Walmart Super Center. The front of the box is pretty cool with the haunted house in the background:

This is the left side of the box when the front is towards you. I like the unPOPular tart styles #20: DISCO-TARTS #boogiefever. This side gives you the directions on how to prepare the Pop-Tarts in English and Spanish:

The back of the box is basically has a few toons but nothing really spooky:

I'm not showing the right side of the box since it features the nutrition facts and ingredients both in English and Spanish.

The Pop-Tarts themselves look pretty much like the one on the front of the box but the ghosts and moon pieces do not cover them as neatly. They taste okay if you enjoy chocolate fudge, which I don't and the orange frosting didn't have any taste at all. I wish Kellogg's would produce the regular size of Pop-Tarts instead of the sixteen count because it took me a while to finish these off. Also, the foil wrappers are just like the regular ones so it would have been cool if they made them a little bit more special.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 16: Alice Cooper vs Chaos! #1

This is one of those posts that I could have written last month but I saved it up for the Countdown to Halloween 2015. Alice Cooper vs Chaos! #1 from Dynamite Comics rocks on so many levels. The cover features Alice among several characters from the Chaos Comics including Purgatori, Chastity, Evil Ernie and Smiley.

Alice Cooper moonlights as the Lord of Nightmares and something is amiss in the other world:

Chastity and Lane Silver are hunting a big baddie underneath Denver, Colorado and things don't go well for them:

They meet up with Purgatori, which is really not a good thing:

Meanwhile in Roseville, Minnesota, Rashad and Vex from the Chosen gets closer, which is weird considering he is a zombie, moments before the rest of the gang shows up:

Vex becomes possessed by Draum-Njorun and recites part of the lyrics from Alice Cooper's Welcome To My Nightmare:

Finally, we catch up with Evil Ernie in Box Butte County, Nebraska:

I won't reveal the ending here but this issue sets up the rest of the series pretty good. While I never read many of the original Choas! Comics from the 1990s, I am familiar with them mostly thanks to reading articles and previews in Wizard (remember that magazine?). I highly recommend reading Alice Cooper vs Chaos! #1.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 15: Alice Cooper No One Gets Out Alive T-shirt

You can get your Alice Cooper's Halloween 2015 No One Gets Out Alice T-shirt here:

Note: This is not a sponsored post but it's freaking Alice Cooper so it's cool that I post something with him for this year's Countdown to Halloween.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 14: Queen of the Dead Slots

House of Fun released their newest slots game, Queen of the Dead, yesterday. I played it on Facebook and was surprised at how much I won so fast. The graphics are are pretty cool too:

This is like the cutest zombie couple ever on an online slot game and this is just the loading page:

There are also some cool animations but you have to play Queen of the Dead slots to see them:

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 13: Kansas Zombie Adventure Lottery Ticket

The only Kansas Lottery tickets that I have found so far around here are the Zombie Adventure scratch cards for two dollars per ticket. I picked up two and they were numbered sixty-nine and seventy. The main prize is a Motoped Survival Bike. Of course, I didn't win any of the cash prizes or the main prize.

According to the official Kansas Lottery website, there is supposed to be Plants vs Zombies Lottery Tickets. I haven't found any around here yet and I doubt that I would get one at five dollars per ticket. I'm surprised at the lack of one dollar lottery tickets this year.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 12: Elvira

Here's a video of the Mistress of the Dark performing on stage at this year's Elvira's Asylum at Knott's Scary Farm:

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 11 Bonus: The Walking Dead Reminder

Here are two reminders from Rick and Daryl that season six of The Walking Dead starts tonight on AMC:

Yes, I'll be watching it at 8 PM CST. Fear The Walking Dead was okay for a zombie fix but over before I even got to really care about any of the characters.

Countdown to Halloween 2015 Day 11: Publishers Clearing House Lotto Games

Publishers Clearing House Lotto has been running two Halloween-related lotto games this month. I have been playing them daily but have yet to win the five thousand dollars on either game. The first is Ghouls Gold:

The second lotto game is Ghost Patrol:

I'm really surprised that they didn't do anything with zombies this year.
