Sad news for John Paragon Dies: Jambi The Genie Of ‘Pee-wee’s Playhouse’ Was 66. He was also the voice of Pterri the Pterodactyl and a member of the Groundlings. Paragon also collaborated with Cassandra Petersen aka Elvira. He wrote Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1983), wrote and produced various Elvira TV projects, and even voiced the off-screen "Breather" that bedeviled Elvira.

Goodnight Ned Beatty
Sad news for Legendary actor Ned Beatty, 'Network' and 'Deliverance' star, 'Superman' henchman Otis, dead at 83. I will remember him mostly for his roles as Otis in Superman (1978) and as John Goodman's dad on Roseanne but he was in so much more.

Dark Burgundy and Tan Hot Wheels Arkham Knight Batmobiles
Now this is a switch for I got the dark burgundy and tan Arkham Knight Batmobiles from Hot Wheels a week apart. I got the dark burgundy Arkham Knight Batmobile at the local Dollar General about a week ago. The light in my room must be bad for it looks all black to me and still looks all black when I shine a bright flashlight on it. The tan Arkham Knight Batmobile is not a solid color and has some brown patches (I think the term is desert camouflage). I picked it up at the local Walmart's about two weeks ago. Both are #1 in the Batman set of five and #8 in the mainline set of 25-. Both have 2020 on the back but both have 2015 on their undercarriages. I find it odd that the tan Batmobile has the DC logo by the Batman Arkham Knight logo while the dark burgundy does not.

Women Wednesday: Elvira Celebrates Pride Month
June is Pride Month and here is what Elvira herself has to say about it in her official fang mail newsletter (sign up for it at her site):
"It’s that gal in the wig who’s talents are BIG — Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. June is here, it’s queer, and ya know what that means... that’s right, it’s Pride Month! I’ve always said that I was raised by a pack of wild drag queens and since then I’ve definitely raised a few myself! I will always support my friends in the LGBTQ+ community."

Doctor Moongem Meets Green Arrow and Green Lantern
As Doctor Moongem in DC Univers Online, I teamed up with Green Arrow and Green Lantern. The three of us faced Spectre, who had lost his humanity. It turned out that Eclipso was behind it and we had to defeat him too.
Elvira Meets Vincent Price
Today's is the 110th anniversary of Vincent Price. Dynamite Entertainment will celebrate it by putting out Elvira Meets Vincent Price #1 on August 4, 2021. Here's the summery:
"The two titans of horror and comedy untie in comics for the very first time! Dynamite Entertainment Proudly Presents... Elvira Meets Vincent Price! Elvira is back, with her most historic AND greatest costar ever! The ghost of Vincent Price is a spirit with a mission, and only the Mistress of the Dark can help! The Apocalypse is coming, and it's going to be live-streamed for binge-watching, but a long-lost movie can save the world... if only the movie star specter and the horror hostess with the mostest can find it in time! Thrills, chills, and all sorts of terrible puns!"

Women Wednesday: Doctor Moongem Meets Huntress, Supergirl and Zatanna
While I was playing Doctor Moongem in DC Universe Online, I got to meet the Huntress, Supergirl and Zatanna. The Huntress actually had me find clues in the Justice League Watchtower (that place is huge and easy to get lost even with the map). I had to save Supergirl before helping her save Superman. I actually helped Zatanna on a couple of missions.

Doctor Moongem Meets Doctor Fate and Phantom Stranger
Doctor Moongem has met a lot of superheroes in DC Universe Online. Among my favorites are Dr. Fate and Phantom Stranger. Neither one really has much to say but each of them did let me get a photo with them.

Introducing Doctor Moongem
You may have been wondering why I haven't been posting for almost a month. I finally got DC Universe Online working and I have been playing Doctor Moongem. He is a mystical martial artist that can fly and has a Guardian that he can summon (I call him Gargoyle). I originally wanted to name him Moongem but that name was taken. His costume was going to be all white but I couldn't do that so his costume is mostly red and blue with some yellow. I reached 30th level pretty fast in about two weeks then started playing the other missions. I do not like the multiplayer aspect of this game so I will probably not be playing it as much now since it gets really repeative.

From Upcoming DC Comics July 2021 Revealed:
"Jessica’s life begins to take a turn for the terrifying as she finds herself experiencing increasingly disturbing events at her college. Most troubling of all, she begins to suspect that the phenomena she’s experiencing could have an unsettling origin—her own psyche."
"Plus, Che Grayson and Juan Ferreyra bring you another trip into the Warrens’ haunted artifact room for a double dose of dread!"
