I actually got a few of the Marvel Studios Heroes Happy Meals from the local McDonald's in October. The front of the box features Black Widow in her white outfit. The right panel features "The Power of Protein" so you can turn your milk into a super hero with a punch out Vision cape.
The back panel shows only a smile to put you in a happy mood. The left panel lists all the action figures available in the Marvel Studios Heroes Happy Meal and includes: Falcon, Winter Soldier, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Potted Groot, Gladiator Hulk, The Wasp, Hulkbuster and Black Widow.
If you're looking for a brief look at comic book titles featuring the Mistress of the Dark, then check out Fangrrls Presents Elvira's Wild Comic Book History. Sara Century includes the different titles from DC Comics, Claypool Comics and Dynamite Entertainment.
First, here is the summery for Punchline #1 now on sale:
Spinning out of the pages of "The Joker War" comes the first solo book starring the blockbuster new character Punchline. As she faces the consequences for her role in "The Joker War," the story of how Alexis Kaye became Punchline will take Leslie Thompkins, Harper Row, and Cullen Row on a harrowing journey that reveals a fringe teenager's radicalization to the ideology of a madman.
I actually found myself enjoying the story and artwork more than I thought I would. My main reason for enjoying this issue had more to do with Harper Row aka Bluebird and her brother, Cullen, than that of Punchline herself. The artwork is surprisingly bright considering how dark the artwork usually is in the Batman books. I can actually read the white text on black background. Overall, I give this issue a B-.
I got a new email from DC Universe Online today. They have a new episode titled Long Live the Legion. Here is their description of it:
"AVAILABLE NOW! Travel to the 31st century and join forces with the Legion of Super-Heroes in the new event and episode, Long Live the Legion. Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl, and Cosmic Boy's lives are in danger as they confront one of the most powerful sorceress in the universe, Mordru. You are the last line of defense to save everyone: present and future! Earn new rewards inspired by Cosmic Boy, Emerald Empress, and Static."
Sure wish I could download the game and play. The above picture shows Supergirl, Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad and Static fighting Validus of the Fatal Five.
Here is what Emerald Empress, who is also a member of the Fatal Five looks like along with Validus and Mordru:

Just received news from the Mistress of the Dark that you can now pre-order the Elvira Living Dead Doll. She stands ten inches tall and has five points of articulation. She comes in a window box and has a dagger that she can hold or store in her waist belt. Here is what she looks like:
I hope everyone voted on Election Day 2020. You can Rock The Vote with DC Comics or at least Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Beast Boy, Batgirl and Cyborg.
I just received the latest offers from Sonic in my inbox and they are now offering Teen Titans Go! Costume Figures in their Wacky Packs. This would have been so cool to have during the month of October to, you know, help celebrate Halloween. Yes, I still want to have them anyway.
Here's what they say about the figures at SonicWackyPack.com:
"Teen Titans GO™ are back at your local SONIC® ... with a new look! Each exclusive character figure is dressed up like their favorite DC super hero. There’s ROBIN™ as Batman™, Raven™ as Wonder Woman™, CYBORG™ as Green Lantern™, STARFIRE™ as The Flash™, BEAST BOY™ as Martian Manhunter™, SILKIE™ as Superman™ and even BIRDARANG™ as Batarang™—only in the Wacky Pack® Kids Meal."
They also have some downloadable activity fun packs including the new Teen Titans Go! activities.
I am still sad after reading Actor Sean Connery, the ‘original’ James Bond, dies at 90. He passed away on Halloween 2020.
I actually found the following Halloween PEZ 2020 trio at a Walgreen's while on a road trip out of town a few weeks ago. I was actually looking for the Thanksgiving Dinner Candy Corn (they are nasty by the way) when I found these. The store had only these three available and I found out later that only the Angry Pumpkinhead PEZ is new for 2020 (PEZ calls him Scary Pumpkin but he looks more angry to me).
First up is Angry Pumpkinhead PEZ with a black body:
The Happy Pumpkinhead PEZ originally came out in 2018 and has a green body:
The Vampire Boy PEZ originally came out in 2013 but he is officially called Baby Vampire:
Here is what the back of the Halloween PEZ 2020 card looks like (note that they show Mummy, Ghost, Bat, Pumpkin and Witch):
Each came with a pack of candy corn flavored PEZ candy (the taste is faint to me but they are tons better than the Turkey Dinner Candy Corn):
I still have the PEZ Witch from 2011 still in the package.
This post wraps up the Halloween 2020 season for Moongem Comics. I hope you enjoyed my posts this year and be sure check other sites at Countdown to Halloween.
You didn't think I would let this year's Countdown to Halloween pass without doing a post on the monster cereals from General Mills did you? The local Walmart's didn't stock the family size until October 18 but I had to take a road trip to see the out of town dentist on October 16. I found the normal size boxes at the Dillons Marketplace and picked up all three. All three has the same monster party scene on the back that also includes other cereal mascots and a certain doughboy from General Mills. Of course, none of the cereal boxes has a toy prize hidden inside.
I finished off Count Chocula cereal and still have a little Franken Berry left. Neither have that strong and sweet chocolate or strawberry taste that I remember from my childhood days in the 1970s. I haven't even opened the Boo Berry box yet.

Note: My scanner cut off the side of the Franken Berry box for some reason.
I picked up this little Bowtie Ghost at the local Dollar Tree. He stands about six inches tall and that includes the black witch hat with purple trim that he's wearing (there is an orange square on the brim that serves as a buckle). The bowtie that he is wearing is black with white stars. He's holding a Jack O'Lantern treat bag. The tips of his black shoes peeking out from under his sheet suggests that he may just be a kid out trick or treating.
The most fun part about the Bowtie Ghost is that he changes colors when he sings. The colors include blue, green, red and yellow. He sings "Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat." Yes, he is motion activated as you can tell by the little dot at the bottom of his sheet but he doesn't always work (hey, I'm just glad he does anything for a dollar).
