Dr Pepper Cherry Iron Man 2 Collectible Can #8: Tony Stark Iron Man

I could not resist picking up a case of Dr Pepper Cherry this weekend so I could try my luck with the Iron Man 2 collectible can series. I ended up getting #8: Tony Stark Iron Man. I like how Tony is in black and white while Iron Man is in full color and looks ready to kick some serious butt. The Iron Man image is the same one used on the Dr Pepper Iron Man 2 bottle.

GaF Double-Vue Presents Hulk In Rampage

The GaF Double-Vue Hulk film loop was titled "Rampage" and features some scenes from "The Origin of the Hulk" episode that was part of the 1966 Marvel Super Heroes cartoon series.

Thrift Store Find: Two Batman Comics And One Dragon Magazine

Only two of the usual three thrift stores were open this morning. I found three items at the first place and I almost picked up something from the second place but decided against it. I found Batman #442 (December 1989) and Detective Comics #610 (January 1990) for fifty cents each. I have the first issue but not the second. In addition, I also found Best of Dragon vol. III (July 1983) for two dollars in case I ever play Dungeons & Dragons again.

The item that I passed up on was a tattered copy of Gold Key's Adam-12 since they wanted $1.50 for it. I might pick it up next week if it is still there.

GaF Double-Vue Presents Captain America Fights The Sleeper

The GaF Double-Vue cartoon of Captain America was called "Fights The Sleeper" and was a very condensed version of 1966 Marvel Super Heroes episode of "The Sleeper Shall Come". That episode was based on Tales of Suspense #72 (December 1965) from Marvel Comics. Tonight was the first time that I actually watched that episode.

Emma Frost Vampire

I am not a die hard fan of the X-Men but the teaser image for X-men #1 (July 2010) caught my attention. It appears that Emma Frost aka White Queen will be a vampire having her way with Scott Summers aka Cyclops. This would make a killer poster and I wonder if this will be how Marvel Comics will be celebrating Halloween this year.

Blog Alert: Amazon Princess

If you enjoy Wonder Woman in all her glory (and who doesn't since she is the number one superheroine from DC Comics), then you really need to check out Amazon Princess. The blog was started by Darius, who also runs Aventures in Nerdliness (check this blog out too), but there are five other contributors. You will find posts about Wonder Woman action figures, art, cosplay, merchandise, tv series and various other topics at Amazon Princess.

Dr Pepper Iron Man 2 Box

Here are pictures from the twelve pack of Dr Pepper promoting the Iron Man 2 movie that was filled with cans featuring Whiplash:

I won an Iron Man 2 Xbox 360 theme with the code inside the box. Unfortunately, I do not have the game console.

Dr Pepper Iron Man 2 Bottle

Here are some pictures of the Dr Pepper Iron Man 2 twenty fluid ounce bottle:

I entered the code found under the cap, which proclaimed me a winner of a one month free subscription to Marvel Digital Comics. Unfortunately, I could not claim it since I do not have a Visa or MasterCard.

Super Hero Mugs Cookies And Cocoa

In my last post, I wrote about the Marvel mug from 2003 that I found at a local thrift store featuring the Hulk and Spider-Man. Thanks to Bubbashelby and Erick for confirming that the cup indeed belong to a gift set. I found several such sets for sale on eBay and here is a picture of an unopened one:

Thrift Store Find: Marvel Mug 2003

I found a Marvel mug featuring the Hulk and Spider-Man for two bucks yesterday afternoon. Sherwood Brands is printed on the bottom along with the notice that the cup is microwave and dishwasher safe. I am thinking that this was part of a Christmas gift set.

Check out the cool Hulk and Spider-Man mugs that Amazon is offering:
