Peter Tork of The Monkees died today at the age of 77. My birthday is the same as his and I turned fifty-four this year. My mother passed away at 74 exactly two months ago and it has been rough for my sister and I. We used to watch reruns of The Monkees on tv whenever we could. I had several of their record albums and cassettes. I, for one, enjoyed their movie, Head, even if it didn't make a lot sense.
