Superhero Sunday: Action Comics #1094

DC Comics released Action Comics #1094 last week. This is Clark Kent as Superboy when he was still a lad in Smallville. Lana Lang and Pete Ross also appear in this issue. The cover proclaims "Our Superboy At War", which is also the story's title. Here is the official summary:

"SUPERBOY REPORTING FOR DUTY! As Superboy is called for his first mission for General Lane, Clark wonders if he made the right decision. As the tension builds, the U.S. government prepares a contingency plan that could put our hero down for good. Plus, Pete Ross has a secret — one he’s reluctant to share with his best friend."

Science Fiction Saturday: Star Trek: Lower Decks #15

IDW Publishing released Star Trek: Lower Decks #15 earlier this week. Brad Boimler is on the cover along with "Star Trek 60". I will admit that this is the first issue of this series that I have read but I greatly enjoyed the humor. I also have to admit that I have yet to watch the animated tv series on Paramount+. Here's the official summary:

"When Commander Jack Ransom promised Boimler command of the away team on Laapoonia in the event that both he and Sun-Sanchez — his Number One — were taken out of commission, he didn’t think it’d, like, actually happen. But now, Boimler is in charge, and things have gone full-blown Crisis Royale: A planet’s missing population, a big-ass alien warship, and a team at each other’s throats threaten to explosively end the Cerritos’ second-contact mission with Laapeeria. The name’s Boimler. Brad Boimler. And he’s got a license to… mildly delegate while panicking under pressure."

Fantasy Friday: Babs: The Black Road South #1

Ahoy Comics released Babs: The Black Road South #1 this week. I like the two-headed dragon on the cover. Here's the official summary:

"A day of over-the-top carnage in a gladiator arena leads Babs and her partner-in-barbarism Izzy directly into a strange, unfamiliar, bizarre situation: they actually have money! That’s good, right? Wrong—because it’s about to lead them down a dark, horrific road to the devastated wasteland of Mordynn."

Toy Tuesday: Lego Minifigures: Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

I bought six blind boxes of Lego Minifigures: Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at Amazon and they finally arrived last week. There are twelve figures based on the 2023 animated movie, Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse. I ended up with half of the set that I will be showing over the next few weeks.

The set features Miles Morales Spider-Man, Spider-Man Punk, Prowler, Spider Gwen, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man India with Spider-Cat, Cyborg Spider-Woman, Sun-Spider, Spider-Byte, Spider-Man and May "Mayday" Parker, Web-Slinger with Spider-Horse and Werewolf Spider-Man. Several of the figures features alternative heads and accessories.

The back of the checklist has general instructions on how to put the Lego minifigures together. The pieces are very small and I dropped a few pieces putting some of them together.

To bring law and order back to Big City, the Blue Falcon is willing to pay almost any price — but will the final toll prove to be too high in the end?"

T-shirt Thursday: The Ghoul from Fallout T-shirt

I'm caught up with Fallout on Amazon Prime and the Ghoul is still my favorite character on the show. I found this cool The Ghoul from Fallout t-shirt at Amazon. If you haven't watched the show yet, then I highly recommend that you do because it combines horror and science fiction. He is based on the video game series and not the comic series from IDW.

Women Wednesday: Sorcerer Supreme #1

Marvel released Sorcerer Supreme #1 last week featuring Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch. She does call herself Sorceress Supreme but somebody else also call themself the same at the end of this issue. I do enjoy her new costume. Here's the official summary:

"SCARLET WITCH: SORCERESS SUPREME! After rescuing the Cloak of Levitation and the Eye of Agamotto from the ashes of Doom’s fall, the SCARLET WITCH has chosen to claim a new title: SORCERER SUPREME OF EARTH! Wanda is willing to defy tradition, break every rule and chart a bold new path-one that the Vishanti aren’t exactly happy about. Will this rogue Sorcerer Supreme bring magic in the Marvel Universe to new heights, or leave it in ruin? An all-new series helmed by Steve Orlando with mystifying art from Bernard Chang!"
