Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 3: FarmVille Halloween Collection

FarmVille has started their Halloween Collection for this year. To be honest, I have not been playing this online game at Facebook much lately since it freezes up after a few minutes.

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 2: Freaky Frightful Cards At Superhero City

Superhero City has started their Halloween celebration with Freaky Frightful Cards.

This set includes Darker Side '11, Cackling Laughter '11 and Jack O' Lantern's Glow '11.

Countdown To Halloween 2011 Day 1: Elvira And Candy Samples

What a better way to start this year's Countdown to Halloween than a picture of Elvira and Candy Samples:

Women Wednesday: Retro Boot Dawnstar by Mark Hearn

Dawnstar is one of my favorite Legionnaires and I love this photo manipulation by Mark Hearn from Maco Studios (check out the site to see more of his work):

Anne Hathaway In Full Catwoman Costume

Newsarma has posted pictures of Anne Hathaway in full Catwoman costume on the set of Dark Knight Rises at Anne Hathaway, now with cat ears! (click on the link for more pictures):

The costume does look pretty cool except for the flowing hair and the boots with stiletto heels.

First Official Dark Shadows Movie Cast Photo

I could not wait until October to post this from Blastr's 1st official Dark Shadows cast pic shows Depp looking less awful:

Countdown To Halloween 2011

Just a reminder that I will be participating in this year's Countdown to Halloween (be sure to check that blog out too). That means that October will see spooky posts in one form or another right here at Moongem Comics.

Countdown to Halloween 2011

Coming In October: DC Universe Online Free To Play

Comics Allience's DC Universe Online Free-To-Play Starting In October pretty much says it all. Unfortunately, I will not be able to play it since my computer does not meet the requirements.

The Only Good Thing About Red Lanterns #1

Dex-Starr should have gotten his own series in the new DCU since he is the only good thing about Red Lanterns #1 (November 2011):

Thrift Store Find: Superman Doomsday DVD

Ha, I knew if I waited long enough that I would find a copy of 2007's Superman/Doomsday animated movie at a local thrift store. I finally found one today for only three dollars.

Women Wednesday: Naomi

Naomi is Oliver Queen's Oracle in Green Arrow #1 and is by far the best thing about the new series:

The Only Good Thing About Detective Comics #1

The batmobile was the only thing I really liked about Detective Comics #1.

Women Wednesday: New Lois Lane

Here is the first appearance of the new Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen in Action Comics #1 (November 2011) from DC Comics:

Sunkist Bucky Can

Yep, I decided to get a case of Sunkist this Labor Day Weekend so I could have the Buck can. The orange soda tastes a lot better than the Cherry 7Up Antioxidant. James "Bucky" Barnes, Howling Commando is written at the top of the can. Unfortunately, the Rev Up with 7UP and Captain America sweepstakes is over.

Women Wednesday: Scarlet Witch Pin Up

Yeah, I know today is the official launch of the new DC Universe with Justice League #1 being released today but Wonder Woman is not even in the book. Instead of celebrating another restart, I am posting this Scarlet Witch pin up from Women of Marvel - Celebrating Seven Decades Poster Book (2010):

Ultimate Humungousaur Action Figure

We hit the local McDonald's last Friday afternoon expecting the Smurfs to still be scrambling in their Happy Meals. My sister was not happy when she saw the sign on the drive-thru menu stating that the toys were Ben 10 Ultimate Alien for boys and Twinkle Toes for girls. I ended up with the four and half inch tall Ultimate Humungousaur action figure, which is number one of the series. His arms and head turns completely around but that is all the action that he does. There is a piece of cardboard with a picture of the normal looking Humungousaur inside. This toy would have really rocked if it glowed in the dark.

Big Barda And Mr. Miracle At Superhero

Here are Big Barda and Mr. Miracle as they are normally seen from DC Comics:

Here is Lady at Large card from Superhero City, an online game available on Facebook:

And here is Miraculous Man card also from Superhero City:

Lady at Large and Miraculous Man are tributes to Jack Kirby, who created Big Barda and Mr. Miracle. Today would have been his ninety-forth birthday.
