This is the last post for 2023 so I thought I would end it with something special. I spent 500 reward points at Disney Movie Rewards a few weeks ago to get the limited edition Walt Disney With Magazine Pop. He's #78 in the Dieney 100 Pop!Icons series. His suit is actually a lighter gray than the pictures show since I used my tablet to take the pictures.
As a bonus, I received this Mickey Mouse pin:
Wishing everyone a safe and happy New Year's Eve.
Christmas may be over but Batman/Santa Claus: Silent Knight #4 is now out from DC Comics. The cover features Batman, Robin, Santa Claus and Krampus. Black Canary, Batgirl, Nightwing, Green Arrow, Blue Beetle and Miss Martian help Batman and Santa Claus battle a possessed Superman and banished monsters. Meanwhile, Krampus has Robin locked in a cage in a place called the Gnome Hall. Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Jo Mullein and Hawkgirl arrive to help Batman and the gang. This is the last issue of the mini-series and the ending was great.
Who is Ruby Sokov? She is the daughter of Vladimir Sokov aka the Red Lantern. She is on the cover of Justice Society of America #8 hitting the newsstands today from DC Comics. She is also the subject for this week's Women Wednesday post and the last one for 2023.
Merry Christmas from everyone here at Moongem Comics (okay, it's just me, Jamdin aka James). Here are two pictures of Elvira in her sexy Santa Claus suit:
Happy Holidays from Batman and Robin thanks to Dick Sprang:
Capwolf and the Howling Commandos #3 is out now and the cover features a showdown between Capwolf and the villainess, Ros. Inside this issue, she asks him to join her but refuses and then the battle is on. This will be concluded in the next issue.
Hawkgirl and Wonder Woman are on the cover of Batman/Santa Claus: Silent Knight #3 from DC Comics. This makes for a great Women Wednesday post for Christmas. The issue starts with Hawkgirl, Green Lantern Jo Mullein and Wonder Woman fighting Harpies in London. Then the scene switches to Blue Beetle meeting up with Superman, Batman, Nightwing, Batgirl, Black Canary, Green Arrow, Robin and Miss Martian. Yes, this is starting to feel more like a Justice League book at this point. They are expecting Santa Claus to show up but Peppermint Jon, a Huldufolk aka an elf, shows up instead. He takes them to Norway via a portal where Santa is fighting a sea serpent named Gandr. Superman punches the beast but is excited to meet Santa. He helps him lead the beast to the secret valley while Peppermint Jon teleports the other superheroes to Greenland ahead of them. They find Krampus and attack before Santa and Superman arrive. Superman gets possessed and attacks the others before Krampus teleports away with Robin. More monsters show up thanks to Superman destroying a glacier. This sets up the next and final issue due out next week.
It's Christmas at SuperCity, which is an online game. I've been playing it for the past few months on Facebook. The Halloween event was more fun but I take what I can get.
Christmas is a week away so enjoy this cover of Roy Rogers Comics #61 (1953) from Dell:
