Doctor Who #3 was published in 1984 by Marvel Comics and the Time Lord turns into a werelok, which is a futuristic werewolf. His companions in this issue are Sharon and K-9. I don't have this issue but I did read it online and it was not bad.

Countdown to Halloween 2023 Day 1: Mtn Dew Voodew Returns
Today starts the annual Countdown to Halloween. I picked up four bottles of Mtn Dew Voodew last Tuesday at the local Dollar General. The flavor didn't stay mystery for long since I read a review the day before saying that it was Cherry Airheads. I'm not a huge fan of the candy but I did like the drink.

King-Size Special Thor Annual #2 Cover from Marvel 2024 16-Month Calendar
The Marvel 2024 16-Month Calendar starts off by using the cover of King-Size Thor Annual #2 for the last four months of 2023. Naturally, my digital camera didn't want to cooperate before the batteries died. However, I did manage to get a blurry picture of it below:
Here's the actual scan (not mine) of the Giant-Size Thor Annual #2 cover from Marvel Comics:

Marvel 2024 16-Month Calendar Covers
The local Walmart's have their annual display of calendars out and I picked up the Marvel 2024 16-Month Calendar. The first thing that I noticed is that they did away with the shrink wrap. The front cover features Spider-Man, Moon Knight, Captain America and Hulk:
The back cover features a look of all the pages that are inside:

Women Wednesday: Power Girl #1 (2023) Cover
I think Power Girl and Wonder Woman are trying to catch up with Supergirl for how many series reboots they can get. This one hits the newsstands today and her secret identity is Dr. Paige Stetler. She also gets a costume change by wearing a jacket that covers up her boob window. Oh, Omen also appears, and Superman shows up at the end much to the surprise of no one.

Goodnight David McCallum
Sad news for David McCallum, Heartthrob Spy of ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,’ Dies at 90. Not only did he play Illya Kuryakin on that tv series but he was also Donald "Ducky" Mallard on NCIS. One of his early movie roles was that of Judas Iscariot in The Greatest Story Ever Told.

Today marks the first day of autumn so you know what that means. Yes, it's time to start getting ready for the annual Countdown to Halloween. I'll be starting this year on October 1st with some treats and maybe a trick or two. Below is my Cyptkeeper 2023 badge, which I will be adding to the sidebar. Be sure to check out other sites that are participating in this year's Countdown to Halloween by clicking on it.

Happy 72nd Birthday to Cassandra Peterson
Today is the 72nd natal anniversary of Cassandra Peterson aka Elvira. Yesterday was the 106th natal anniversary of my Grandma Georgia and today is the 86th natal anniversary of my Aunt Karen. Happy heavenly birthday to both women. It's also the 100th birthday of country legend, Hank Williams.

Hot Wheels 2023 Tooned Batmobile Duo
I picked up these two Hot Wheels 2023 Tooned Batmobiles two days ago at the local Walmart's. I almost didn't get them because the back copyright on the card says 2021 and thought I already had them. They are both #1 in the Batman mini set and #3 in the main set. There are actually five different color variations. They are both based on the classic 1966 tv Batmobile.
The version with the blue tint windshield is actually the fifth variation. It has green pinstriping and supposedly a dark green body (it looks black to me even under a bright light).
The Hot Wheels 2023 Tooned Batmobile with the orange tint windsheld is actually the third variation (yes, it looks yellow in the photo below but that's due to the lighting). It has a black body with yellow and red pinstriping (it looks reddish-orange to me).
