Comic Review: Double Jumpers #2

Action Lab Entertainment's Double Jumpers #2 is just as good as the first issue if not better. Kane Darkheart and his band of adventurers hit a casino for coin of the land and Peepers for food. Meanwhile, Jason and his friends try to figure out how they can get out of the "game". While there are jokes aplenty, there is some seriousness too. One of my favorite moments in Double Jumpers #2 is after the fight at Peepers: The artwork and story continue to be great so I give Double Jumpers #1 an A+ also. I highly recommend this mini-series to everyone but especially to those cosplay and gamer fans.

Women Wednesday: DC's Women of Zero Month

Thanks to Comics Continuum: DC Comics For September for providing the covers (you can read the summaries of the issues at their site)

I wonder if Batgirl is wearing toeless boots?

Batwoman's rather plant her boot in your face:

Birds of Prey #0 features Black Canary, Batgirl and a tattooed woman:

Is it me or has the size of Catwoman's booty finally caught up with her boobies?

Dial H #0 features the first user of the Dial:

Sword & Sorcery #0 features the return of Amethyst:

Voodoo #0 is the final issue of the series:

I really should be reading more of Wonder Woman since it blends horror and superheroes:

World's Finest #0 featuring Earth 2's Supergirl and Robin aka Power Girl and Huntress:

September Is Zero Month At DC Comics

DC Comics for September proves how much the company likes to screw around with the numbering system. Remember Zero Hour? Well, basically it's back again. One would have thought that they would have started the reboot with zero issues and go from there.

Scary Saturday: Vincent Price: Tales From The Darkness #1

Vincent Price: Tales From The Darkness is a new mini series starting in September from Bluewater Productions. L.J. Dopp did the cover artwork for #1:

T-Shirt Thursday: Twisted Web of Amazing Prizes

Twizzler is promoting The Amazing Spider-Man with Twisted Web of Amazing Prizes and one of the prizes is a t-shirt. Here are some screenshots from the Facebook app:
I have not found packages of Twizzlers promoting the movie in the local stores yet.

Women Wednesday: Silk Spectre And Silhouette

These panels of Silk Spectre and Silhouette are from the pages of Before Watchmen: Minutemen #1:

Captain America PEZ

Another lucky find from a road trip that I took a few weeks ago was this Captain America PEZ that came with cherry and raspberry candy. I really like this one because of the way that the wings stand out from his head.

Gay Green Lantern Of Earth 2

Did Green Lantern re-launched as brave, mighty and gay really surprise anyone?

T-Shirt Thursday: Poison Ivy Deadly Garden

I found this Poison Ivy Deadly Garden t-shirt at a local thrift store yesterday for a quarter:

Sorry about the crappy picture but the second attempt was even worse (I really miss my Olympus digital camera).

Women Wednesday: Penelope Cruz As Elvira

From Freaking News comes this photoshop of Penelope Cruz as Elvira:

Iron Man PEZ

I released this Iron Man PEZ from its bag for two reasons. The first reason is so I could display him better. The second reason is so that I could eat the cherry and raspberry flavored candy. I'm surprised that he didn't come with the lemon flavored candy since he is so yellow.

Batman's New Drink Is Mtn Dew Dark Berry

Mtn Dew Dark Berry is Batman's new drink just in time to promote The Dark Knight Rises movie:

I guess they were too lazy to actually spell out Mountain on this one.
