Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 15: Benchmark's First Halloween Party

Benchmark presents "A Scare For The Cure" Halloween Party" on Saturday, October 30, 2010. The Four Corners Tavern is located in Chicago, Illinois but I will not be attending since I live in Kansas. I received the following ad in their newsletter (I wonder if the soot covered she devil will be there):

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 14: Superhero City

Superhero City is a FaceBook online game that is getting into the spirit of Halloween. There are spooky costumes (one just happens to look like Elvira) and equipment available while bats fly around during the battles.

My character is Shadow Avenger and I battled Xena twice earlier. Here are some screenshots from the battles:

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 13: Movie Macabre 2010 Promo

Here is a promo ad for the the return of Movie Macabre featuring Elvira:

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 12: Barbie Medusa

I do not have any Barbie Dolls but my younger sister does and still enjoys getting one every now and then. I doubt that she will be getting the Barbie Collector Medusa Doll anytime soon because the price tag is $599.95 at Amazon.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 11: Horrorhound Special 2009 Featuring Elvira

No, it is not Women Wednesday yet but one can never get enough Elvira (maybe it is time for a Magazine Monday ongoing feature). This time around I present to you the cover of Horrorhound Special 2009. The sixteen page guide was released at the HorrorHound Weekend Cincinnati 2009 show which features an Elvira timeline and pull-out poster.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 10: Gunwitch: The Outskirts of Doom

Gunsmith: The Outskirts of Doom was a three issue mini series that Oni Press released in 2001. The covers were done by Daniel Brereton and Ted Naifeh (the former wrote the series while the latter inked the interior). The resurrected gunslinger is part scarecrow and part zombie. Eve was also featured in this series that was a spin off from The Nocturnals.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 9: X23 Vampire

I am not at all familiar with X23 from Marvel Comics. I think she's Wolverine's daughter or perhaps his twin. I do know that Mike Mayhew did a variant cover for X23 #2 for which you can buy the original 11x17 artwork here. You can find a three page preview of the issue at Comic Book Resources.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 8: Deadpool Vs Dracula

The variant cover of Deadpool #28 by Mike Meyhew has the title character from Marvel Comics trying to put the bite on the old Count himself with normal teeth. You can buy the black and white artwork here and view a four page preview of the issue at Comic Book Resources.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 7: Daken Vampire

Here is the variant black and white artwork for Daken: Dark Wolverine #2 cover by Mike Meyhew for Marvel Comics (you can buy the original 11x17 artwork here):

Here is the color version:

A four page preview of the issue can be found at Comic Book Resources.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 6: OC Weekly Featuring Elvira

Here is the cover of the September 24-30, 2010 issue of OC Weekly featuring Elvira (you can read the article here):

Moongem Comics Hits Seventy Thousand Visitors

Thanks everyone for helping Moongem Comics hit seventy thousand (actually 70,311 when I noticed it). The top five keywords are free walpaper dc comic, christmas with the joker, alex toth, women dress up as a cat and alison angel. Hopefully, we can get another seventy thousand during this year's Halloween Countdown.

Halloween Countdown 2010 Day 5: Tigra Vampire

Here is the variant cover for Avengers Academy #5 by J.S. Rossbach featuring Tigra vampire putting the bite on Hank Pym (the issue hits the newsstands on October 6, 2010 and a six page preview can be found here):
