Women Wednesday: Harley Quinn X Elvira #2 Covers

Harley Quinn X Elvira #2 dropped today. There are a bunch of covers but I'm only showing the first four plus the cover gallery. Here is the official summary:

"When Elvira first met Harley Quinn, the Mistress of the Dark was desperate for any plan that could help her save her beloved TV show after it was threatened with cancellation by heartless corporate raiders. Well, the Clown Princess of Crime came up with a plan, all right, and now Elvira is along for the ride — no matter how crazy Harley’s scheme turns out to be! Putting together the biggest Halloween block party ever staged is a great idea in theory, but pulling it off means raising a massive amount of money — and a pile of cash that big is sure to draw the attention of every thug and delinquent in the Tri-State area. If Harley and Elvira want to keep their party funds secure, they’re going to have to become too big to fail — and that means going international!"

The local Dollar Tree had another blast from the past last week when I picked up this Marvel Avengers Jumbo Coloring and Activity Book. The copyright date is 2019 and printed by Bendon. Super Sunday: Superman Jumbo Coloring and Activity Book 2010

I was surprised when I found this Superman Jumbo Coloring and Activity Book at the local Dollar Tree last week. For starters, it was devoted to just Superman and not the Justice League or Batman. What really shocked me was that the copyright date is 2010. Bendon must have either reprinted this in time for the new movie or they had several boxes in storage. Most of coloring pages feature Superman, Brainiac and/or Imperiex (there's no Lois Lane or Jimmy Olsen). There are a wide variety of activity pages including puzzles, mazes, finish the pictures and whatnot. The back cover has Superman and Brainiac stand-ups that you can cut out. Not bad for $1.25.

Science Fiction Saturday: Space Scouts #1

Dark Horse Comics and Flux House Books dropped Space Scouts #1 earlier this week and it's good on so many levels. It has a wraparound cover while the artwork and story make me feel like it should be in an issue of Heavy Metal. This will be a three-issue mini-series and I already can't wait for #2. Here's the official summary:

A young girl heads to the center of the universe to compete in a reality show to become the next “Space Scout.” What starts as a teenage drama turns into deadly war at the edge of the universe as the “winning” recruits are sent into a clandestine interminable battle that they most likely won’t survive.

DC K.O.: Knightfight #1 Covers

DC Comics released DC K.O.: Knightfight #1 this week and it's pretty cool especially if you are a Batman and Robin fan. The four variant covers include cover A by Dan Mora, cover B by Jonboy Meyers, cover C by Kaare Andrews and cover D by Fabrizio De Tommaso. Here is the official summary:

"The Dark Knight is forced to take a different path in the tournament for the Heart of Apokolips — one that has turned Gotham into a deadly arena where Batman must battle against the Batmen of the future! Who are these Batmen? Stay tuned to find out!"

Hot Wheels 2025 Dark Red TV Series Batmobile

I was pleasantly surprised yesterday by finding this Hot Wheels 2025 Dark Red TV Series Batmobile. I picked it up for $1.25 at the local Dollar Tree. It is #3 of 5 in the mini Batman set and #103 of 250 in the main set. There is also a metalflake gray version, which I do not have yet. Some collectors don't like the various colors but I actually enjoy them.

Note: This is my 70th Batmobile post.

Women Wednesday: Planet She-Hulk #1

Out today is Planet She-Hulk #1 from Marvel. It's a cool mix of fantasy and science fiction. Here's the official summary:

"SAKAAR, PARTY OF ONE! SHE-HULK is back, and she's... stuck on Sakaar?? Spinning out of Jonathan Hickman's hit cosmic epic, IMPERIAL, Jennifer Walters made a promise to her cousin, HULK, to watch over the planet Sakaar and its people for a few days. But it's been longer than a few days, and now She-Hulk is in charge of keeping the peace on a planet at war! But Jennifer is a VERY different Hulk than the one that once smashed Sakaar into submission... is she up for the task?"

Marvel Zombies: Red Band #1

I don't know how I missed Marvel Zombies: Red Band #1 since Marvel released it on September 17, 2025. The normal covers feature the Fantastic Four as zombies coming for you. The first alternate retro cover features the Fantastic Four zombies attacking Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, and Daredevil plus a small Zombie Thor in the lower right-hand corner. The second alternate cover features the Fantastic Four zombies battling Iron Man. The third alternate cover features Zombie Thanos and is basically an ad for the Marvel Zombies tv series on Disney+, which I have watched. The fourth alternate cover features Zombie Bruce Banner turning into Zombie Hulk. The fifth alternate cover features Zombie Reed Richards attacking Spider-Man.

Here's the official summary:

"THE DEAD RISE AGAIN FOR THE FIRST TIME! It was the most important space flight in the history of the Marvel Universe — four intrepid heroes took off into the unknown and returned changed, gifted with great abilities… and hungering for human flesh! Travel back to the birth of a Marvel Universe parallel to our own but chock-full of horror since its very inception! Which heroes will rise to become the champions we know and love? Which will be torn limb from limb? And which will devour the scraps? Find out in this blood-soaked series!"

Hot Wheels Batman: Arkham Asylum Batmobile 2025 Black Version

I found this black version of the Hot Wheels Batman: Arkham Asylum Batmobile 2025 at the local Walmart's a few weeks ago for $1.25 (yeah, they went up from $1.18). It's #2 in the Batman subset and #54 of the main set. I almost passed it up because I thought I had it, but I got it confused with the metalflake dark gold version. I now have two of the metalflake dark gold Arkham Asylum Batmobiles because I bought another one thinking I had the black version.

Note: This makes my 70th Batmobile post.
