Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 28: Marilyn Monroe as the Bride of Frankenstein Action Figure

I asked Grok what an action figure of Marilyn Monroe as the Bride of Frankenstein would look like. I wasn't expecting much really but she came out okay enough to show her for this week's Women Wednesday post. I wouldn't immediately recognize her as the actress. She does have the beauty mark but is a bit on the slim side. I was delighted that she was shown still in the package. I would get her just to have her along with the John Wayne as Frankenstein's Monster action figure.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 26: Monster Mash #1

Bloodcurler Comics put out Monster Mash #1 as a one-shot in the mid-1960s and is mostly forgotten even among old-time readers. The cover features Frankenstein's monster, Dracula, the Mummy and the Wolfman on their way to a jam session. There is also a blurb stating that Frankenstein will meet the Phantom in the next issue but that was never published as far as we know. Thanks to Grok for digging up this "lost" issue for this week's Monster Monday post.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 24 Bonus: Clayface Movie Ad

Clayface hit theaters on October 23, 2026 and is loosely based on the Batman villain from DC Comics. The R-rated horror movie stars Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, who becomes a monster made of clay. Rumor has it that he will eventually meet the Dark Knight in a future movie.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 21: Elvira Enjoys Monster Cereals

It's Women Wednesday again and here are three ai images of Elvira enjoying bowls of monster cereals while wearing costumes inspired by them. I can't remember which Facebook group I got them from (I think they were in a couple of the Elvira ones). If you want credit, then make a comment.

First up, the Mistress of the Dark is enjoying Boo Berry while dressing up as the ghost:

Here's Elvira eating Count Chocula cereal while wearing a dress inspired by the chocolate-craving vampire (this one is my favorite):

Finally, here's Elvira enjoying Franken Berry while wearing a dress inspired by the monster:

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 20: Tiny Nightmares Series 1 Insert and Wrapper

I picked up four mystery bags of Tiny Nightmares at the local Dollar Tree a few weeks ago. I gave two to my sister and kept two. I won't show or tell you what figures I got yet but I will show the insert and wrapper. The mystery figures that are available are shown to be Michael Myers from Halloween II, Annabelle, Pennywise from the It movie, Regan from The Exorcist, Stripe from Gremlins, Sam from Trick 'r Treat, Chucky from Child's Play 2 and Tiffany from Bride of Chucky. Seems like the theme of Series 1 was dolls since there three of them. I'm hoping to find Tiny Nightmares Series 2 and 3 at the local Dollar Tree for next year but I'm not holding my breath.

Note: This post was not saved the first time I wrote it. A draft was saved missing the last three scans.

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 18: Jim Henson's Franken Berry 2026

Jim Henson's Franken Berry is back this year with him as a Muppet. This was the second monster cereal that I picked up at the local Walmart's last month.

Like the other two monster cereals, the back of the box has a Monster Maker so you can create your own Franken Berry Muppet after you cut out the pieces.

There is no toy prize inside this box either..

Countdown to Halloween 2026 Day 13: Western Legends as Classic Monsters

For this week's Halloween-themed Toy Tuesday post, I asked my friend, Grok, what if Clint Eastwood was a Dracula action figure. I thought the results were pretty decent for he does look like the actor. I thought the cape over the long coat was funny.

I also asked Grok to create a John Wayne as Frankenstein's Monster action figure. I like the addition of the cowboy hat, clothing and a gun in a holster. Unfortunately, he lost a lot of Duke's facial features.

Monster Monday: Marhtoo the Flame Fiend Action Figure

I created Marhtoo with HeroMachine this past Saturday night for the fun of it. He was originally intended to be just a generic monster for Moongem Comics. I kind of like how he turned out with the yellow fur patches on his feet to match his yellow goatee, teeth, eyes and ram horns (yes, his skin is orange).

Meta AI turned him into Marhtoo the Flame Fiend, which gives him a demon vibe.

Meta AI also gave him a little interesting bio on the back of his card. Not only was he born in the molten core of the Ember Rift but he now guards the Power Gems in the hidden Gem Caves.

What I also find interesting is that Meta AI created other figures in this toy series including Zorra the Star Witch, Kragg Rockgoblin, Nova Ninja and Captain Quasar. Sounds like a good lineup for a gold old fashioned Saturday morning cartoon series.

Monster Monday: Vampire Count Edgar Allan Poe

Grok has recently uncovered evidence that Edgar Allan Poe became a vampire count after his death on October 7, 1849:

Monster Monday: John Wayne as Frankenstein's Monster

Yesterday was Mary Shelley's birthday, who was born on August 30, 1797. It is also known for Frankenstein's Day in honor of her since she wrote the 1818 novel, Frankenstein. I thought it would be cool to see what Grok would come up with if John Wayne was Frankenstein for this week's Monster Monday post.

Monster Monday: The Munsters Illuminated Musical Family Koach Ad

I found this ad for The Munsters Illuminated Musical Family Koach in the online issue of Woman's World (August 24, 2026) so I had to share it here. The Munster Koach as it is commonly called features Herman Munster, Lily Munster, Grandpa and Eddie Munster holding Wolf Wolf. It lights up and plays the theme from The Munsters tv series. Of course, the collectible is from the Bradford Exchange so it's way out of my price range.

Fantasy Friday: Moongem Comics #6 Starring Lily Munster as Moongem

Chat G. Port missed the deadline to make the cover of Moongem Comics #6 a post for this week's Monster Monday. However, I can forgive him for he did a great job on Lily Munster as Moongem.

Monster Monday: Hot Wheels Monster High Ghoul Mobile 2026 Black Edition

I found this Hot Wheels Monster High Ghoul Mobile 2026 Black Edition at the local Walmart's last Tuesday. It's the same as the one that I picked up in February 2024. This one is #2 of the Mattel subset and #48 in the mainline series.

Monster Monday: Estuary: A Ghost Story

Oni Press released Estuary: A Ghost Story last week. I could have posted this yesterday as a Supernatural Sunday. Here is the official summary:

"Atop a rocky cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean sits the Mission at Arbues Point, a 400-year-old Spanish mission made infamous as one of California’s oldest and most haunted historical sites. But beneath its crumbling, tourist-trap facade, a reclusive nun has spent decades within the Mission’s walls, honing her prayers and practice in pursuit of a secret long-buried beneath the majesty of the chapel, and under the dark waves of the tidal estuary below. When marine archaeologist Maris Cristobal accepts the nun’s offer to begun excavating a fabled shipwreck lying in wait beneath the Mission’s turbulent waters, she’ll soon discover that the sins of past and present are about to wash together into a harrowing surge of a vengeance that can no longer be contained..."
