This has not been a good week for Star Trek fans for Patrick Stewart Dead, 'Star Trek' and 'X-Men' Superhero, Dies at 86. He was Captain Jean-Luc Picard starting with Star Trek: The Next Generation tv series and Professor X in the X-Men movies based on the Marvel comics. The universe has lost a very talented and respected human being.
Lita Ford's Dracula dropped yesterday on YouTube so we get a bonus for Women Wednesday:
Sad news for Star Trek star Walter Koenig dead at 90. He passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026. I will always remember him as the smiling Ensign Pavel Chekov. He was also the psi-cop, Alfred Bester, on another science fiction tv series, Babylon 5.
I grew up watching Michael Gray on tv in the 1970s so I'm a little sad after reading Michael Gray, Shazam star and Marcia's boyfriend on The Brady Bunch, dies at 75. He will always be my favorite Billy Batson and I can still hear him shouting the magic word.
I hope everyone is enjoying this year's Countdown to Halloween posts. I did a little maintenance on Moongem Comics today by delating a few more "sponsored posts" that had links to Amazon. They kicked me out as an affiliate because I wasn't meeting my quota. My base quota was zero, so I failed as an online salesman.
Let's start this year's Countdown to Halloween with a t-shirt post. I found two Days of Chucky 2026 t-shirts at the local Walmart's a few weeks ago. They were black, size 3XL (the only size they had) and only five dollars each. I got both and gave one to my sister, who is a big fan of Chucky. She loves the original movies and the tv series (she wasn't a huge fan of the Child's Play remake movie).
I was trying to create an arch nemesis for Captain Bluebird with HeroMachine and Meta AI. The villain was interesting, but Meta decided to come up with a totally different version of Captain Bluebird. I think this makes the third version of him. While I like his wings, I find his jetpack an interesting addition (he originally had a white cape too, but I got rid of that). I decided to create a cover for Captain Bluebird #1.
Grok came up with two t-shirts with different designs featuring a Moongem Comics logo. I like the second one better.
I asked Grok to create a board game based on Moongem Comics. The AI came up with a science fiction board game called Captain Bluebird Galactic Quest.
The miniature figures used in the game include Captain Bluebird, Shadow Avenger and Doctor Moongem (he's a mad scientist here instead of a superhero). You can tell the differences between the figures in the two pictures (I like the ones from the first picture).
Captain Bluebird Galactic Quest is an interesting board game but not exaxtly what I was exptecting.
I created Marhtoo with HeroMachine this past Saturday night for the fun of it. He was originally intended to be just a generic monster for Moongem Comics. I kind of like how he turned out with the yellow fur patches on his feet to match his yellow goatee, teeth, eyes and ram horns (yes, his skin is orange).
Meta AI turned him into Marhtoo the Flame Fiend, which gives him a demon vibe.
Meta AI also gave him a little interesting bio on the back of his card. Not only was he born in the molten core of the Ember Rift but he now guards the Power Gems in the hidden Gem Caves.
What I also find interesting is that Meta AI created other figures in this toy series including Zorra the Star Witch, Kragg Rockgoblin, Nova Ninja and Captain Quasar. Sounds like a good lineup for a gold old fashioned Saturday morning cartoon series.
The Solar Speedster's trilogy from Moongem Comics concludes with Sunbolt #3: Eclipse Rising. When the sun meets shadow...who will be left standing? Thanks to Meta for donating the cover.
Anyone can now post at Moongem Comics without having to sign in to Google Account. Please do not abuse this feature. Unwanted spam will be deleted.
The Solar Speedster is back in Sunbolt #2: Solar Storm from Moongem Comics. The city sleeps...but the sun never does! Thanks to Meta for donating the cover.
From the pages of Sunbolt #3 from Moongem Comics comes Solara the Solar Flame on her first trading card. Grok came up with this version and I have to say that she rocks the costume.
Many moons ago, I created Doc Spider for Moongem Comics. I used HeroMachine to create his basic costume. Originally, he was going to be a masked pulp vigilante like the Executioner.
With a little help from Meta AI, I created this Doc Spider action figure:
Meta AI even created the packaging for the Doc Spider action figure:
The cover of Sunbolt #1 from Moongem Comics promoted the Sunbolt action figure that Meta AI created. This is an origin issue of the Solar Speedster. Naturally, he was a scientist until a solar flare gave him lightning speed and other powers.
Yes, I will be participating in this year's Countdown to Halloween. Expect special spooky holiday posts starting October 1st and lasting until October 31st. If your blog or website want to join in on the frightful fun, then click on the link below to find out how you can be a Cryptkeeper too.
Sunbolt was created using HeroMachine and will be an interesting addition to Moongem Comics.
I decided to turn him into an action figure by using Meta AI and here are the results:
I really like the nickname he was given. The Solar Speedster has a pretty cool ring to it.
Many moons ago, I created Lonja with the help of HeroMachine. I really didn't do much with her other than put her on my Moongem website. I forgot about her and never did a background story for her. The alien woman was never intended to be a character for Moongem Comics but I might have to change that.
Yesterday, I was playing around with Grok and created two action figures. The first one looks more like a figurine while the second one is a retro action figure. I like the first one better of the two.
